The team overall had a bad game, I agree. But if it’s one thing you cannot deny is how ETH has continued to repose faith in Ronaldos ability and has always given him the benefit of the doubt. When Ronaldo walked off the pitch, he got what was coming to him. When Ronaldo yelled he hasn’t had game time, he was put into the starting line up. When Ronaldo yelled that it’s incorrect to substitute him before the match is up, ETH gave him complete 90 minutes to prove himself in the last game. In last nights match, he even gave Ronaldo the captains armband where it might snap him out of a funk and show how to lead from the front. Ronaldo can no longer bitch about being treated unfairly. He didn’t make any back runs, he didn’t attempt to create even ONE chance. He keeps waiting for the perfect cross to magically land on his head , instead of jousting with the Defenders to allow him to snag a header. ETH has pretty much laid it all bare for everyone to see.

I agree, players do bare responsibility whenever they play but before you criticize the players too much maybe consider that the players were mentally exhausted by the constant changing tactics, formations and stubbornly playing out of form favs. And being constantly called out in public. Perhaps what the players needed was an experienced coach, tactician and man manager.
I think he wld ha e struggled regardless but perhaps it fell away after Gerrard lost his right hand (Beale) and suddenly he was front and center with the players not Beale. I think he got found out as being neither a prem level coach or tactician.
We had high hopes for him and it was a risk but sadly I think you are right he should have stayed with Rangers, continued to learn his craft. I wish him well, we all do. As Mourinho said, you aren't a real manager until you have been fired.
