  • The new Škoda Superb 2024 has Travel Assist system which offers improved visual displays of other vehicles detected nearby in the Virtual Cockpit. The Adaptive Lane Assist now also works on unmarked roads, while Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), in conjunction with a navigation system, also anticipates bends, junctions and roundabouts - yes, it really slows down before tighter corners etc. I checked how Skoda Superb 2024/2025 drives in semi-autonomous mode on sub-urban roads, in a city and on highway. See how does it works in real-life conditions.

    Marvelous !!! In a few days I am scheduled to sign the co-contract for L&K at the Skoda dealer in my city (Timisoara - Romania). I can't wait to receive the car. It is simply a spaceship !!! SKODA - SIMPLY CLEVER !!!!!!!!!! 😍

  •  Před 29 dny +3

    Ok, you made me sell 2020 premium superb and purchase l&k around €82000 (yes, with highest taxes in the world)

    Awesome video. I see that you are driving in Portugal, do you know when the car will be available to buy?

    • @1001cars
      @1001cars  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you :) The availability depends on the market. The best way is to ask your local dealer. As far as I know, they produce first part of these cars right now, but not in every drivetrain & equipment specification.

    Wielkie dzięki za wyczerpujący test. Mam dwa pytania: czy jadąc autostradą prawym pasem samochód wyprzedzi jadących środkowym jeżeli ma od nich wyższą prędkość? Czy ten asystent zmniejszy prędkość jeżeli zakręt jest zbyt ostry dla prędkości ustawionej w danym momencie?

    • @1001cars
      @1001cars  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Generalnie Volkswageny nie pozwalają na wyprzedzanie prawym pasem (w sensie, że tempomat redukuje prędkość), no bo w Niemczech jest to niedozwolone, ale właśnie jak testowałem Passata tutaj w Polsce, to on... pozwolił wyprzedzać praweym pasem. Drugie pytanie: tak redukuje prędkość przed ostrzejszymi zakrętami, jest nawet takie ustawienie w opcjach w tej sprawie, czy ta prędkość w zakręcie ma być wysoka, średnia czy niska.

      @@1001cars dziś jechałem nowym Kodiaq i niestety hamował kiedy jadąc prawym pasem zbliżałem się do samochodu jadącego wolniej środowym. Musiałem lekko dodać gazu i wtedy ignorował to auto. Nie znalazłem opcji która by pozwoliła to wyłączyć - ale może po prostu miałem auto zbyt krótko.

    Looks like one of the best in Tight Corners.
    Do you know if this car has a heated distance radar for snow etc.?

      Which cars are competitors for superb in your opinion? There is not many of them...

    • @lumajs
      @lumajs Před 2 měsíci

      The new Superb and the new Passat have the exact same riding feeling because both were prepared by Škoda and they share more parts than ever before. They differ by the lipstick, Škoda is bought by those who know, VW is bought by those who don't know Škoda or who believe it must be a bad Soviet car or something like that 😂.

    This is the right level of self driving for coming years. Most of the truly boring steering is done by the chips so the driver may talk and do other things but you can see that he still wants to make decisions rather often. They are not just about some algorithm claimed to be intelligent. He bears responsibility for the decisions and earns trustworthiness by the track record of driving. This is really lost with fsd which has no personality.

    The use of all kinds of driver aids is incomprehensible to me - has a person turned into a monkey behind the wheel? If you don't like driving, you should sit in the back seat and enjoy the fact that someone is driving for you.

      For me is fun and veeery helpful in traffic jams, long travels ( 1000kms drives ) or even if you wanna just take a drink + it’s just precaution if you fell a sleep, get’s medical emergency etc. - I’m not turning any assitance in cars off if they works fine which in my Superb 3 does…. It’s not about if i love or hate driving.

      @@SpidmaxX Yes, everything is fine if you drive along the ideal roads of Europe. In those countries where studded tires are used, all white stripes are gone by spring and I would like to see the driving ace who wants to use all kinds of driver aids in these conditions. The car goes crazy pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the big mess is that every time you turn on the ignition, the driver aids are active again. EU officials think that even in bad road conditions, all driver aids must be active all the time by default, and if you forget to turn them off and an accident happens because of it, it's your own fault! We have bad driving conditions 10 months a year and every time you start the car, you have to be like a fighter pilot, turning off useless driver aids so that they don't interfere with your driving. People simply do not understand that there is ice, snow, mud, slipperiness, according to a Central European, you cannot drive a car in these conditions...
