if you play with a strap, it’s even pretty comfortable, and plays great. way smoother than one might expect

Old fuzzes are like Octavias back then, it depends on temperatures, elevations, and humidity, all kinds of factors, so it's always hard to dial in what you're looking for

That's not how you hold a V sitting down. It's been 66 years and some still don't know how to hold one? Look at a pic of Hendrix playing it. Ever seen Randy Rhoads?
I tried holding it in between my legs but it felt like a classical guitar... Definitely a guitar designed to be used on a standing up setup. But I see your point!
@@waltgracevintage8620 Well yes and the classical position is what is used standing up... 45° neck angle. V is the superior guitar sitting down. It's Les Pauls, where you NEED to stand. Classical guitar position has been deemed ideal after centuries of playing. It definetly wasn't made for only being played standing up. It's the best neck access and angle guitar sitting down, and less likely to slip and doesn't need a foot stool like a classical so it is superior to a classical.

I work manual labour have a large apartment furnished with antiquities largely related to naval collectibles and 10 guitars. All of which I know how to hold. This is one of the most priceless guitars known to man. Maybe look up how to hold a Flying V before holding the most expensive one... but thank you for your valuable input to this discussion. I wish I had a big basement, it's been less than 8 hours since the police came for the first time. I had my DSL401 on "2"... 1 it is... my neighbour must be related to you. Never complained once but called the cops immediately.

Am I the only one who can no longer hear Hendrix from all sides ?!? Great guitarist, a genius, ok, but for my part, it's an overdose, I'm saturating, his riffs inflate me, I find them worn out by people during the demos...
A blues scale riff played by a below average guitarist will never sound exciting, Hendrix had the touch and taste to play those riffs with some mojo, none of these youtubers have such touch or taste.

I could spend days watching demos on Emerald City Guitars, Wildwood, Sweetwater, Gibson TV , Premier Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange and etc etc,..and not hear Hendrix riffs being played at any greater a significant rate then any other well known player LoL!
