a bad day windsurfing is still better than a good day in the office 🤙
You need the bad days to be able to appreciate the good days 👍
Perfect....Nils.
For real. This is windsurfing.
I missed those pictures 30 years,
I swear.🎉😊🍉🤙
I don't think I've ever reached a speed of 33 knots, so I would've been popping champagne bottles if I had a session like that!
You‘re totally right, but when I have days like this I still am happy to atleast having been plaining for a little, to have rigged and to just having been able to enjoy the atmosphere. So always a good decision to go surfing. You just have to know the right time to stop!😁🤙🏼
yes, still feels nice to have been out there! just the problem is when you go with the expactation of having an amazing session.
Looks decently clean water out there.
Thanks for a real-life vlog. I'm sure many windsurfers recognize sessions like this. Makes you appreciate a good session even more!
true!
Ahhh the pain of thawing feet! It can really hurt like hell.
Love ur commitment to get out when it’s so cold… though that lake did look nice and flat 🤙🏼
Thanks for your honesty Nils ❤
They can't all be good. Can totally relate.
good sessions will come again
I feel you soo baddd!!!
Keep up nils!
i will ;)
good call stopping, it should be fun!
exactly
Sehr schön... real life!
I recognize the conditions. Same here in the Netherlands. Incredible gusty, waiting for something bad to happen.
strange this day was gusty everywhere n northern europe it seems...
Those gusty days like that are the norm where I windsurf. High altitude inland lake windsurfing is rough
true
Rain always disrupts wind, so no surprise you got kind of skunked.
My yesterday delivered Winter Boots are to small to get in too! The trick is to first squeeze your toes all the way forward into the shoe and then push in your heel. It's always enough for me to squeeze into a suit. 🤙
i'll try that technique, but honestly if i spent 30min just getting ready i lose some motivation
speed never dies
An other good vidéo even with a lousy day 😂
yep
Mate, in Western Australia it's 30 degrees C, the water temperature is about the same, the wind is 20+ knots and the runs across the weed banks are glassy smooth, I mean actual glass. I'll pick you up from the airport. Bring some booties, there's crabs.
sounds awesome, but flight with gear already sets me back 2000€ :/ but i really want to come to australia sometime the next few years...
Windsurf life in a nut shell..
Yes, this is how it is sometimes.
Here in Göteborg it's windy today, but only +2°C and raining a lot, so premiere for 2024 has to wait a few more days, maybe Thursday?!
wish you good luck with a first good session!
Lieber Windsurfern als nicht Windsurfen. Mach weiter so ;-)
For me the same. Yesterday I was out. There was still ice on the water. Okayish wind but gusty as usual. I was wondering why I couldn't enjoy it. I think when it's so cold that your hands, face and feet hurt so much, it's just not that enjoyable. I really wish that I could surf in bath tubs such as in Bonaire.
in summer for sure you can endure the shitty wind much better
Lake Hainer in a nutshell...🤣
i guess you were right about this lake all along 😅
Sounds like our wind can be.. impossible to rig for...
yes, if it's 5-40kts what to rig ^^
Moin Nils
Moin Thomas
No two sessions are the same in windsurfing, that’s the beauty of it 😊
Moin, gibt es eigentlich auch Engländer, die auf deutsch ihre Videos machen?😂 Hang loose Jan
