Spring on top of the dod lifter is likely stuck. Way to common junk design sludge sticks em. I have poured seafoam or acetone on the lifter let it sit then smacked it with something and it release. Ck out the tray or lifter holder good too. I've seen em crack when the push rod bends and letting the lifter spin wiping out a cam lobe.
Can intake manifold gaskets cuase P0300 random misfire?......I have a 2007 gmc yukon 5.3 flex fuel flashing engine light and stability track aka limp mode....I've changed all spark plugs and wires...checked each injector....replaced Mas airflow....and still nothing....today I bought intake manifold gaskets gojng to install in morning.....only thing i haven't checked is coil packs as its 800$! For all 8.....my other question is.....if it was a coil pack wouldn't it read that certain cylinder instead of the random p0300?....please get back to me it's my only vehicle I have for my family.....thank you for your time brother God bless
