- We got an early start to the day by ordering room service and got off in St. Thomas to head to Sapphire beach for our first port adventure of the day. Alyssa and Chris went snorkeling while Carrie and Lyndsey played in the water and had fun on the beach. We then headed up to Paradise Point on the gondola and were blown away by the views of the island and the food we ate at Taste, the restaurant there. After a fun but busy day, we relaxed in our stateroom and got ready for dinner...

I love the part where Carrie says she watched someone else’s vlog when you guys first booked a cruise and thought it was cool to be at that same location as them.. that will be my experience with your vlogs when we set sail in October to Catalina and Ensenada. We will be on the Halloween on High Seas. Your vlogs on your trip last year are the first videos I watched as we booked our first cruise!! I know exactly what Carrie is referring to and will be thinking of you guys as we experience our very first cruise adventure!

Our favorite item at 2021’s Festival of the Arts was the passion fruit mousse with dragonfruit jam. Passion fruit syrup & passion fruit butter from Maui… we just ran out, so we need to go back there again 😂

When we were there on the Fantasy we did the Discover Scuba excursion but we'll definitely do the skyride next time. That shirt looked awesome.
Scuba is something I (Chris) would love to do but don’t have the time/patience to get certified. Thanks! Love that shirt. Wore it yesterday 👍
@@AdventuresinMillerland The great thing about the Discover Scuba excursion is you don't have to be certified. My wife, Eva, my son and I all did it. It was a really great intro to scuba diving and has us interested in getting certified.

We really enjoyed St Thomas when we were there. It was before the hurricane that destroyed so much of the island. We're glad to see things have started to return to normal there. We feel your "pain" over the poor visibility for snorkeling; the same thing happened to us at Castaway Cay! Weather can have a big impact on shallow water snorkeling. Looks like you had a great day and we can't wait to see the Remy vlog since we've never had the opportunity to dine there.
I was hoping to go out deeper, but the wind was whipping around too much. Still fun, but yeah… we really enjoyed our day. Thanks!

Just a heads up, one of you are so they recently or in St Thomas and we’re hoping to go up to Paradise point, but it was closed. You may want to check before your cruise just in case 👍

I know it’s different for a Disney centered family but I would highly recommend it.. rock climbing, bumper cars, laser tag, indoor adult solarium. Lots of new adventures! @@AdventuresinMillerland, it just felt like we were running back and forth to go to Bingo and Trivia etc. Didn’t take the time to relax much or just enjoy the scenery while on the ship. It didn’t help that my kids wouldn’t to go to their respective kids clubs (10 & 17).
That does sound like a bit of a whirlwind cruise! Definitely good to force yourself to relax and not feel the need to do everything 😄 sounds like a good reason to book another cruise!! 😂

Love St Thomas and specially the skyline. I can totally sympathize with Lindsay 😂 I was getting my scuba cert and the minute I saw monkeys swimming towards us… never got back into the water 😂 I’ll snorkel so i cant wait if she will make it to the snorkeling on CC!!!!! Hoping she does.
Ummmm… we’re all kind of shook over here. Did you actually see monkeys swimming in the water toward you?!? 😂 I don’t know if we would start laughing or screaming in terror?! Probably both. And did you double check that it was oxygen in your breathing tank instead of something else?
@@AdventuresinMillerland 😂 i know hard to believe. You know how they say if the tank oxygen has a funny taste it’s no good lol that day I was getting all the warning ⚠️ signs 😂 so i never finished! In all seriousness, yes, search Monkey Island on CZcams lol the darn monkey can swim a few feet off shore in search of food inside the boat. Ummmm I did snorkel but still them monkeys were too close to comfort 🙅🏻♀️ can’t wait to see Lindsay on CC and tell her it’s all good lol fish are friends not food.

Hello girls, how would you rate the comfort of the beds? Hey parent, you both look fantastic for your Remy dinner night. Looking forward to that vlog. This itinerary is on our radar and we will absolutely be at the top remembering this cruise series.
From the parents: thank you 😄 It was fun dressing up! We’ll ask the girls and hat back to you with their honest thoughts about the beds they slept in 👍 The queen bed on DCL ships are amazingly comfortable!
lLower bed got a rating of 6 out of 10 from Lyndsey - she slept well but not as good as the queen.
Hi Miller family! I’ve been rewatching this vlog series because my spouse and I (also a Chris) will be doing this itinerary on the Fantasy in 32 days!! I made note of the restaurant you ate at called Taste of Paradise Point. We’ll have an early excursion that morning, but we also want to do the sky ride and the pirate museum. So, we thought we might eat there for lunch. We are first time cruisers, and I am wondering how payment works? Were you able to pay with a card? I’m wondering if we should plan to get local currency, or if we can avoid that. Thank you in advance for your insight. 😊
So fun! We hope you guys have the best time on the fantasy 😎 St. Thomas is part of the US Virgin Islands, so it’s a US territory. You should have your regular cell service there and you can pay with US dollars or your credit card with no issues. It’s helpful to have a travel credit card (we use the chase sapphire visa) that doesn’t charge for international fees if you use it outside the US. Something you might need to be mindful of when you go to Tortola, which is in the British Virgin Islands. You don’t have to worry about it being brace or changing for different currency at either of those ports 😊
