After all of the pre-washing, you can put her in a large pillowcase and wash her on the gentle cycle. I've even put panty hose over the hair to protect the style. You can add blankets or towels to the cycle with the doll. Then air dry. That way the soap and water get all the way inside. She'll be great, promise!
and the eyes panting won't be removed on gentle cycle? I do wash my COLECO (vinyl heads ones) in the machine but soft sculptures? I would not like seeing eyes or blush gone....Thanks for your answer girls....
I use Shout on my soft sculpture CPKs, and it works just as well. If you happen to use Shout instead of OxiClean and don’t want to go buy the other, use what you have
Would this work on cabbage patch snacktime doll from 1995 / 1996? Or remove the zip tie & take off the body to throw in the washing machine with hydrogen peroxide & baking soda in a pillow case? I have a boy snacktime cabbage patch doll coming today in the mail... 🤷♀️😅😅😅
I just bought raggedy ann and she was beautiful vintage but after I washed her the red color bleed to her face !!! Now she has pinky face lol I’m so regret!!
I would rewash her and use a different type of washing detergent or just wash her again on delicate load and see what happens and hope she doesn't come to pieces
Nothing I can do because the yarn 🧶 bleed to her face but i just leave her like that ! I have baby cabbage patch dolls from 80s no hair in good condition no stain I wish I can sell them to you !

I put mine in a pillowcase and throw them in the washer with towels or bedding. I use woolite and spray some tough spots first.

I also dry mine in the dryer with a tennis ball to make sure she stays full and fluffy.

Yes, that’s what I do. Any used dolls I put in the washer on gentle cycle with a little bit of bleach to sanitize. Does hurt the doll at all.
