He pulls the curtain back on the Downunder Horsemanship Empire. Three and a half hours of unfiltered and raw conversation. We talk business, horses, marketing, successes, failures and lessons he's learned along the way.
Behind the profanity and foul language is a man that has mastered his craft as a clinician and horseman. Clinton Anderson has kept tens of thousands of people safe as they followed his method pursuing a journey with their horse and a better understanding of basic horsemanship.

After listening to this I have a new-found respect for Clinton. His business sense is pretty spot on. As a woman that's in the same age range as Clinton and who has owned businesses, he has learned many of the same things as I have, and both of us learned it the hard way. His words of wisdom in this podcast can save a young person a ton of struggle.
On a personal note he comes off pretty crude, always has, but I also heard in this that he's got a soft spot in him. He is correct, you don't have to question where he stands. No b.s. with him which I fully respect. His horsemanship methods aren't quite my cup of tea, but I can see how for some it is easier to understand than other programs. I personally enjoy the psychology of Lyons and Parelli more and Clinton has it wrong when he says they promote just loving on the horse and feeding it cookies. There's a ton of teaching about respect and discipline when needed in both programs. I remember John Lyons, who's a calm, soft-spoken man, say that if a horse bites you you have 3 seconds to make it believe it was one of the worst decisions it ever made and it almost died because of it. The rules are you only have 3 seconds to do what you need to do and no hitting on the face or below the knees or hocks. It works and no, there are no cookies given afterwards. Parelli has a same approach. So Clinton, ya need to revisit those programs in full again.
In summary, this was a great interview and the story of Clinton shatting himself I'll never forget! 😂
I love love love Clinton. Been a fan of him and his method for almost 25 years.
This a a good interview. People don’t realize how hard it is to grow a business and make it profitable. It takes an insane amount of effort and perseverance. I always signed my checks and managed the money, focused on the NET. Your customers and employees have a different motivation, you need to listen to them but through a filter. You can’t let the tail wag the dog. I almost lost everything 3 times generating 9 figures but was able to cash out with chips on the table.
Love the comment from the aussie guy. I was just scrolling training vids. Never planned on watching 3hr interview with C.A. and I don't necessarily like him any more now than I did before. BUT, it was a refreshing few hours of honesty to offset the saturation of dishonesty from watching politicians.

Really watch the video of him beating a blind paint horse 🐎 He floods horse's and blames the horse for bad behavior after he floods them and gets them worked up. And then he's hitting a blind horse. No respect for this man and would never allow him near my horse. His own country didn't claim him. 😮😮😮😮😮😮he's a terrible trainer 🤣 😅😅😅

A treasure full of truth, this interview.
There are so many trainers out there. Clinton has been around for a long while. Some love him, some hate him. Pick and choose from the smorgasbord of trainers out there.
Gotta give him respect for where he came from and where he is now.
100%. The parallels between training horses and dogs is seemingly endless. There is even a bird dog training method boldly called The Method. I’m sure it is the same with horse people but dog people are both some of the most incredible people I have ever met as well as some of the most troubled. Good stuff.
That's what is great about "The Method" if your consistent with your training it will work.
He worked himself to almost suicide. He healed himself. More lessons learned.

Please return him to Australia. His presence is not needed, particularly in my state of Arkansas, where he recently relocated. I have professionally worked with horses from his program and their conditions are poor. This man lacks finesse and true equitation skills. There is definitely a disconnect between his training methods and those who genuinely care for horses.

I have seen videos of Clinton sorting out some horrid downright nasty dangerous horses that are allowed to get like that because of fucking idiots like you . The worst part is you know as soon as the horse gets on a float to go home it will revert back to being an idiot because you can see the owners should never own a horse they are too fucking stupid which brings us to the point you are most probably in this bracket too fucking stupid to own a horse
