I decided to recreate the theme song to Doctor Who, but with a twist. Imagine if you will, Doctor Who has returned in 2005, but instead of Murray Gold using samples from Delia Derbyshire's original composition from 1963, what if he sampled Dominic Glynn's 1986 version of the iconic show's theme song. This is what I've tried to do, using midi, and sampling of said composer's version of the theme song. The underlying arrangement is original, made using my smartphone and midi composition app "Mid Sequer" by Utworks.

I think in general with this variation of the Doctor Who theme song there were some horror vibes. I always felt like like Dominic Glynn's approach was more mysterious, dystopian, and horror based. Worked well on a Sci-fi show approaching 23 years old at the time.
With my remake here, I added period accurate synthesized orchestral elements using midi and worked around the arrangement to ensure everything is in sync and correctly sampled to not sound clipped or badly out of place.
