    German DDs will be interesting... I wonder whether they will introduce mines into the game? I actually hope they don't... Player are already too cautious and cowardly, without having to worry about mines^^
    Seems like the Z-32 will be a Premium ship at some point, but I wonder what their plan for a German DD tech tree will be. Will they finally give their Torps the magnetic Detonators (probably not, since that could potentially be OP) or will they add other varieties of the G7 Torp?
    I doubt they will put the "Zaunkönig" in the game... An acousticly guided Torpedo would be a both OP and at the same time super risky in terms of friendly fire. Neither do I believe they will put G7e Torps into the game, since they were for U-boats... And they would be hard to balance in the game, since they were electrically powered -> no bubbles -> (almost) undetectable.
    So they'll probably just add some variations that just change speed / range and maybe damage.
    What I am wondering though, is whether they will give the G7 Torp the chance to trade range for speed on the fly, before you launch them. I think irl you could change between 6 km, 7.5km and 12km. The longer you set the range, the slower the Torpedo goes. That could actually be a nice game feature.
    And they could potentially give some german DDs the "Gruppenhorchgerät" and "Atlas Echolor" they had, meaning they would have Hydro. Radar would be realistic as well, but just too powerful.
    We'll see :-)

      T6? This thing reminds me of Benson (they look a bit similar) , however it has 150mm guns... That will be fun and probably wont have problems even in T10.

    Everytime when I think about the sunken ships from every nation. the scraped once or whatever happened with them. All the ships we lost...I wish I could bring them back. Ships are more than a tank or a plane.
    They are bigger, better, stronger, and have so much more work and love in them. To me ships are like other people who died and are now forgotten. I want to help them. Bring them back to live.

    • @MrPHAELAN
      @MrPHAELAN Před 8 lety +1

    • @OireshPotehtoh

    • @almightybogza

    • @captaincrooked9051
      @captaincrooked9051 Před 8 lety

      Premium's are of the specific ship of a class, or of an unusual class.
      Z-32 is a specific member of the class, thus, she can be a premium.

      @vladimirceh986 Před 8 lety

      That´s true, in every video Wargaming mentions german destroyers, they show these M35-minesweepers.
      But: these minesweepers were so powerful in artillery (2x105mm + numerous AA) that the british called them respectfully "channel-destroyers". Maybe that´s why...

  • @jellyorwhat3343
    @jellyorwhat3343 Před 8 lety

    Yeah, you got it. The Z stood for "SERS-TÖRER" NOT to be confused with ZERSTÖRER, many Germans get that wrong, too!

    Why is the class names Narvik? I know that Narvik is an inportant norwegian city.

    • @rofl0rblades
      @rofl0rblades Před 8 lety +6

      The second batch of this class of destroyers was named Narvik in honor of the casualties the earlier destroyers of this class suffered in the costly battle for the important Norwegian harbor. Its importance lay in the proximity of the swedish iron ore mines and the railway connecting them.

      @joaquinandreu8530 Před 8 lety +2

      Just like Tarawa is an island in the Republic of Kiribati or Normandy is a region of France and there are US ships that bear their names. Narvik was a German naval victory, and thus, those ships designed during the war bear the name of that Battle.

    This is the first time I hear the german destroyers had good sea qualities....truth is: they were HORRIBLE ! The twin turrret was about 60 tons and pressed down the bow.They never rode the waves, but cut through, resulting in washes over the bow into the bridge. ( This even works on models of this ships....)
