Scotty and Lee are out on a calm afternoon trying a new spot to catch dinner. Fishing the usual method is quiet but a new style hybrid Jig gets plenty of nibs.
Thise frothy ockies are a kabura style jig. We use them extensively in New Zealand drifting, not anchored. Drop tobthe bottom and wind a turn a second, ten winds drop it down again. Superb method for snapper. We use much smaller hooks really light drag, and very bendy rods
Having a hybrid dancing around on the bottom certainly works, all the years of only fishing an unweighted hook makes ya wonder what could have been possible some of those sessions haha 😅🤷🏼♂️🎣✅
Mate I Love your videos and have learnt so much from you but honestly you must loose more fish than anyone I’ve ever met!!! Why do you think you drop so many? Is it the hook style?

Those frothys are good I got one from Jurien Bay managed to get a little snapper and a Skippy nice double header

The shark would have been a decent feed. Perfect size

I have been experimenting with with heaps of different hook styles lately but think I’ll stick with the mustard big red s seem to work best for me .
