I went bikepacking alone in The Highlands of Scotland. one of my favourite places to go bikepacking in the world. I go up here at least once a year (more like 3 times really...) because I have to get my fix. I was riding over the mountains to watch the StrathPuffer 24hr mountain bike race and do some filming!

Thanks for watching! By the way, this was obviously filmed before the drone mishap on Raasay… 🤦♂️ 👇

this deserves *way* more likes and YOU deserve *way* more subscribers
Cheers!
Rather you than me riding there in winter time, though it looks stunning. As does the footage again, well done mate👍
Haha thanks! Yeah summer would be nicer I’m sure
I spend a lot of time cycling in the Highlands, im biased but its probably my favourite place to do some bikepacking...looks like an epic adventure, I really must head to loch glass. Ride safe buddy
Cheers Ian! It’s a cracking location worth a trip for sure. Can’t beat the highlands in winter in my opinion!
Nice place to ride ❤
It really is!
Always well film
Thanks mate!
Another beautiful adventure!
Thanks very much!
Im so lucky to be able to watch from U.S 😊
Thanks for watching! Looking forward to coming back to the US soon
Great video! Looks super cold in Highlands just now!! Thanks for sharing with us!!
Aye looks like very deep snow up there which is cool. Shame I’m missing it!
Gorgeous scenery.
Thanks very much!
Great video and very brave in that weather! Loch Awe is my first one of the year in mid-March. 🥶
It’s not so bad when you’re kitted up 😛 nice! Can be just as cold in March sometimes though so fingers crossed for you
Another cracking watch. Really look forward to your videos. Many thanks
Thank you very much, always appreciate the comments :)
That was a wee surprise Rasaay then the Puffer out of order 🤣 The Adventure Show did good coverage of it last Sunday even included a cold water dip! Wasn’t sure if events were your thing but look forward to the film when you do but will you do a 🏊♂️?
Hoping to get up this year to do the Ben Wyvis Circular and Glen Affric.
Not a fan of Instagram it doesn’t do it for me for some reason one too many social platforms.
Aye, it was a decision to put Raasay first as I felt it was a more remote destination for the headline monthly film.
Yeah I used to do triathlons before I went full time into cycling. Might do some more events like that at some point!
Wow i can see you have 4 season bag what i do is take a light sleeping bag then lots of thermals less weight and space
Yeah I used to do the same tbh, but this bag is so warm in any condition it’s been a good investment. I’ve literally never been cold in it and I’ve slept in some severe wintry conditions and all good!
Another magical video
Thanks very much!
Beautiful video.
Thank you!
Your bike must’ve absolutely filled the train bike cabinet as I struggled with my less loaded 29 HT.
It did! I booked two spaces so I didn’t get any complaints. Tbf it was completely empty each way anyway so no worries this time
How often did you go through a village or town? You have to be self sufficient regarding food and water?
There’s a few supermarkets near the beginning of the route so plenty of places to stock up there. Nothing much after that I’m afraid. Strathpeffer village has a little shop but otherwise you’ll have to be self sufficient.
Hi. Do you have a video on the Caledonian Way? Thanks Wayne
Not the full route I’m afraid, but I do have the section from Fort William to Oban.

Ok thanks. I’m coming to Scotland from South Africa in August to do the Caledonia Way and the Yorkshire Coast. Initially I was thinking of the NC500. I see that your NC link isn’t there. Anyway I appreciate your reply and I’ll check your video out. Cheers Wayne
Nice! I live in Yorkshire and have done some of the coastal route myself. That link is there now just fyi.
