Yu-Gi-Oh! Top 4 WCQ National/State Labrynth Deck Profile! Pure Trap, No Furniture! (South Africa)

- After taking a short hiatus to keep my list under wraps before the World Championship Qualifier States, I managed to pilot Labrynth to Top 4! I went 6-1, only losing in the last round, and ended up 2nd after Swiss. I won my Top 8 match, and then, unfortunately, lost to the player who would win the whole event. With the release of Legacy of Destruction, Labrynth finds itself in a pretty good position, having a strong match up against Tenpai. Snake eyes is still a terrifying deck, but by teching certain cards and cutting the Labrynth Furniture, the match-up is an interesting one, to say the least. This pure trap version cuts furniture and floodgates and opts for board breaking traps and main decking Lord of the Heavenly Prison.
This is my second States Top 4, and I couldn't have done it without my friends and testing circle.

Apologies for Hurbert's, cameraman's, breathing, just didn't have the heart to rerecord as this was just after the event and needed to catch the moment. Clearly, Hurbert was as excited as me🫡
Bro sounds like Michael Myers 😭
As someone with heavy allergies from march to september I feel this man. Normally normal breathing but with my nose clogged for the entire allergy season I too turn into michael myers. Great deck profile, really entertaining and congratulations on your top 4!
Fxck it. Dont apologize. Breathe on the haters 😤
Awesome build man! Labrynth players are coming back this format!
Well done on the top 4 man! Nicely done!
This deck profile is fantastic! The deck list is really interesting and innovative, and your explanations are so clear. It's awesome to see how well you did in the tournament with it, congratulations on topping!
its that guy! Welcome back and thx, Ill try it out but only 2 buttlers. Dont have the 3rd one at the moment.
“Side deck? Useless.” Spoke to my very core
🤣🤣🤣
Found u all today even though i am just still I 16 year old boy from limpopo I really hope when I turn 18 I can come and participate 😁
Well done brother man !! You deserve it after all the testing we did ❤
Love you❤️❤️❤️
Congrats on the top bro 💪💪💪💪
Love and appreciate you❤️Next year is your year
@@FutureKnightYGO won't be a next year unfortunately 😂 but thanks bro 👍🏽
I heard it multiple times from various sources but how exactly does Lord of the heavenly Prison enable the otk? Care to explain or maybe do a combo/guide video on how you pilot Labrynth?
So what this tells me is that the trap card lineup in modern Labrynth is whats cracked. The furnature is more or less just consistency if you decide to play it.
What I really find impressive are the lack of floodgates. Not sure if its because the size of the event or if its because Rivalry just hinders the deck more than originally thought.
Floodgates have always felt bad for me, and after I got Top 4 at States last year and then proceeded to top multiple other events, I realised how much I hated them. Specifically Skill Drain. Gozen was/is great, but not worth it at 1. Rivalry conflicts with Lord but is still probably worth playing.

Love the full trap approach, im always torn between furniture or heavy trap builds. I love furniture and the grind they give you, but going -2 to eat an ash or anything else fells so bad. eventhough i have tried to play black goat laughs with furniture and that felt insane. But idk of black goat can perform in a trap heavy build.
Are the pots and trap-trick needed? i played without pots for a while now and tbh never missed it. I also dont like trap-trick, i get that it "searches" and lets u activate that one trap that you need, but i dont like it tbh, maybe only a me thing lol. Also: I have been using a small unchained engine (shavara and escape) in side to go 2nd and break boards more easy, idk if thats something you could mess with, just letting you know. Eventhough arias turn 0 daruma, punishment, etc serves the same and better purpose i guess
congrats on the top 4 bro !
Unchained stuff is terrible. Plays into more handtraps that otherwise do nothing against us (Like Nib)
You NEED to play Trao Trick. It makes Arias stronger. It also allows for the Set-up play, and that's the same reason I'd play the pots.
Furniture doesn't feel like it right now.
Can we see the dragon link deck profile?
Have you thought about playing foolish burial goods with rollback?
hello, do you know the top 8 deck breakdown from this evernt'?
Pure Dinosaurs
Snake Eyes
Yubel
Kashtira with smokescreen Tenpai Side
Tenpai
Dragonlink Bystial
Voiceless Voice
Labrynth
(Not in that order)
hey nice list! Lab playere here, can i ask you something? what you think about 2x full force virus and gozen in exchange of the shifters?
@@KappaMatt the current format is rough. Rought to the point shifter might be a maindeck card.
@@FutureKnightYGO thank you for the fast reply!!!
Hi futureknight congrats! Was this Cape Town or Johannesburg?
Johannesburg
Can you explain why didn’t you use Skill Drain? Thanks!
I watched back all my profiles. In every single one that I played skill drain, I say that I hate skill drain. So I didn't play it. I never felt like it was needed
What are the two cards after N'TSS???
The Chimera Fusions. One revives a Fiend during the opponets turn, the other summons from banished during opponents turn.
Hello ! Why you didn’t play rollback ? And black jack ? 🙂
The build he is running doesnt use any furnitures, meaning that he has no way to discard them to the grave. Rollback and black jack are great as discards but almost next to useless by themselves
What @tkodemolisher said!
i see tenpai causes baldness
I'll have you know that my hairline is exquisite. Shaved my head recently for cancer.
@@FutureKnightYGO forehead looked way too shiny for that to be true lol but best of luck with that
