we will try these in the morning. I’m trying to get us off store bought processed foods. I told my 11 year old that we would find some swaps. These look amazing
What do you think of this grain mill vs the other one you use? I have 2 grain mills also, one electric called the Royal Lee, and one manual, called the Diamant grain mill. The diamant grain mill is to have a good option if the power goes out
I love the idea of having a manual mill! I like the NutriMill Harvest. I love the wide range of fine-very course. The NutriMill Classic doesn’t get super course. I prefer the harvest for smaller batches and the NutriMill Classic for larger batches.
@@Gcolorina I find it easier to get a fine flour in the NutriMill Classic. The Harvest can mill just as fine but it has a learning curve to figure out how to do it without grinding your stones and making them glaze over.
I so look forward to these wonderful videos! The donuts look scrumptious and I will try your recipe. My journey with fresh milled grains is only 2 months old. I so appreciate you and the recipes. Looking forward to more videos and inspiration! 😊
I'm sure when you kneaded the dough, the mixer should have been set to the next higher gear. Also, it is always recommended to dock a doughnut dough before cutting out the doughnuts. I've been at it for over 35 years.
@@cadcock753able Here is a video that shows dough being docked: czcams.com/video/VJpFhxPWo6A/video.htmlsi=gb2_HRJ8cYI-Z3YY Though, it's about twice as much as necessary(she was having fun). If you don't have a docker, a fork will do.

@@Lovelybellbakes thank you for that information.

I used canola oil.

What does it mean to dock the doughnut? I’ve never made them.
