    Have used the 12C since college, thru CFA, and all the way to retirement. It served me well! Hands down best financial calculator for analysts. Thanks for this video… had no idea why one of my 12Cs had reversed the decimal and commas.

    I "upgraded" to a platinum version after using the regular for 20 years... and the damn thing tells me that I am in RPN mode all the time. I know that. Can I delete the annoying display, but have the calculator in normal RPN mode?

    I recently purchased an HP12C Gold calculator. Sometimes, when I am performing discounted cash flow problems, and have to press the time period followed by the 'n' key, the display goes blank. When I press the ON button, it shows "PR ERROR." I clear the register before turning off the calculator. Any suggestions?

    I work in the mortgage industry, and my old calculator I must have forgotten how I used it. I've used Excel so long but I really wanted to get back to doing everything on a calculator. This is definitely not my HP IIB. Do you have videos about mortgage and investment in more detail?

    Can any tell me how to do an Algebraic equation in RPN and use them for N (years) and I (interest)?!?!?! Anytime I use the G key like I'm advised the next button I hit next gives me "error 2" no matter what it is.

    Hello, thank you for your presenting. I would really love to know, if I have input several numbers (eg. 1 2 3 for standard deviation), suddenly i realized I input 1 twice without 2. Is there a way I can search the previous numbers I input and change the 1 to 2? Is this function viable? Texas calculator has this function, but I couldn't find on hp anywhere.....so annoying.

    The HP 12C is a completely obsolete calculator that costs 5 times more than any modern calculator with millions of extra features.
    In the exact courses, the teacher asks the students to buy a calculator and each student chooses a different model and learns how to use it. Only in financial math courses students are REQUIRED to buy the HP 12C and have to learn how to use it to key the key.
    I do not know if the students in this area are stupider than the exact ones or if the teachers in this area are stupid and only know how to teach using this calculator.
    The result is a technological backwardness of 30 years and an unnecessary expenditure of money. It was the extra time that students spend to learn how to use it.
    This calculator:
    There is no alphanumeric display,
    It uses "Polish reverse logic" that is not intuitive and is what makes learning difficult,
    It has no advanced editing feature of the number entered,
    It does not save the calculation history.
    To evidence bad faith in this process. Suffice it to say that there are mobile apps that emulate this calculator. Then no one else would need to buy it. But that no one teaches.

      @email2hector Před 5 lety +1

      I think this is not really a calculator to use for beginners, Im not sure why so many schools make finance students use it. Maybe once someone gets more in the profession and doesent need all the alphanumeric display and making many errors therefore needing more editing. As well if someone is not sure of the equations they use and needs to go back often to check their calculations they will need one of the more basic calculators. This one is for the more advance.
