      We had the best time in Japan! Next time I would love to also visit places like Sendai, spend a day in Mt. Fuji and do things we did not do in Tokyo - there is so much to do😊 I hope we can visit later this year again! ^^ Thank you for watching my video 😊

    yoyo! Thinking about this exact itinerary myself, leaving in 2,5 weeks, and started planning just NOW.... Already been through 5 counties in Asia and ending my trip with japan and south-korea. I'm really worried about my budget tho lol.... Did you purchase the jrpass in before hand and had it sent to you to Norway or did you buy it at the spot? Is there any way you could estimate the costs of your trip, or lets say just transportation.. Looked fun! Went to tokyo for the first time 11 years ago so cant wait to go back 🤌

    Hello, I have a question. I'm debating on my trip. Is over $4000 dollars enough to spend 3 weeks in Japan? Including the flight, hotels, transportation, food, and activities. Tbh I'm not planning on doing a whole lot of anything special. Just play games and go shopping as well as probably chilling in the hotels here and there when I'm all worned out. Arcades so far estimate wise I would spend at least around 4500 to 5000 yen whenever I go to an arcade. I'm planning to go in the fall.

    • @JapanBoundCouple
      @JapanBoundCouple  Před rokem

      Hi! We spent around 40 000 NOK each, which was at that time (last fall) around 4000$. To be honest, that is more than enough! Of course depends on what you want to do, but we could even have spent less than this I think. We also went to different cities, amusement parks and ate a lot at restaurants. And yes 4000-5000 yen at an arcade will get you a lot of fun! Next time we go to Japan, in January 2024, our budget is 2000$ each with flight and hotel - and I think this will be very managable. Have fun on your trip!!🥰

    Hello, what did you guys pack for clothes we plan to go in november 1- nov end.

    • @JapanBoundCouple
      @JapanBoundCouple  Před 5 měsíci

      Hey! We actually packed a bit warmer clothes than what we needed. We travelled mid-october, and some days we could even wear a T-shirt outside. It went up to 15 -20 degrees some days. So I would recommend a good pair of sneakers and a light jacket just in case - but not too warm clothes or you have to go shopping xD

    Hi i have a question, do you need basic japanese to communicate there or is english enough ?🙂

    • @JapanBoundCouple
      @JapanBoundCouple  Před 10 měsíci

      Hii! I only knew a few words for my first trip, and I managed very well. I knew words like konnichiwa, sumimasen, arigatou gozaimasu etc. I also used Google Translate to translate in stores and menus at restaurant (you can use a feature here that lets you take a picture to translate!). Do not worry 🙂 In Tokyo there are more English-speakers, but less outside I would say. I hope you will have a great trip!

      Hey! We did nothing except bringing our passports and a negative PCR-covid-result. Of course, it depends on what country you live in and are travelling from. For Norwegians, we could travel to Japan without a visa for up to 90 days. Thank you for watching the video, and if you have some questions please feel free to ask🥰

      Hei, august er en veldig hyggelig tid i Japan, siden det er sesong for tradisjonelle festivaler og fyrverkeri.
      Men vær forsiktig så du ikke får heteslag, for det er varmt som bare det!
      Mine personlige anbefalinger er Magome-juku og Kanazawa.
      Jeg brukte et oversettelsesverktøy, så beklager hvis det er noen rare ord!

      We didnt go to disneyland, but to Universal Studios. The queues were long, but for nintendo world we could book tickets inside instead of waiting in line 😊

    Hi
    How much did you pay in total for food, visits, hotels and transportation? Thanks

    • @JapanBoundCouple
      @JapanBoundCouple  Před rokem +1

      I dont have a total amount, but hotels we paid around 1600 dollars together (was a bit cheaper when we booked due to uncertainty if it would open up again after covid). For food we paid around 10-15 dollars each time I think, it can be more expensive or cheaper - but this was the average for each dinner/ restaurant meal we had. Transportation I only remember Shinkansen which was around 200 dollars roundtrip! And the trip can be done with a tighter budget than we had as well! I recommend looking into APA hotels, as it is cheaper and a nice hotel I've heard. 🤩
