I've had this sitting on a Watch Later list for an entire year. I beat LA for the first time, and just came back to listen. That Game Over gave me goosebumps.
Why am I only now finding this video, in 2016!? I'm sure I need to kick myself a little for this big oversight. So excellent. Kept raising the bar throughout and somehow continually exceeded my expectations.
This is fucking incredible. Why the hell does this not have at least a few hundred thousand views? And why the hell did it take me exactly a year to stumble upon it? Half my youtube history is filled with retro gaming, the other half electronic music and Opie and Anthony
I must've listened to this over 20 times over the last 1-2 days. It's just perfect. My fav part starts at 3:34. Your facial expression at 3:43 is awesome too. I love watching musicians when they get into the stuff they're doing. Keep it up man, you're fucking awesome.
This was a fucking great medley! The Bottle Grottle section was badass, and the entire arrangement was well done. I loved the ending, it's one that stays in your head even after the video is over. Nice job on this one Jules, I think it's one of your best medleys!
Well Jules, you really outdid yourself on this one. Your "A Link To The Past" was my favorite medley so far, but this one just took the lead even tho this isn't my favorite Zelda game. Great job!
Somebody said on another one of your videos about how you appear to enjoy playing the music in your videos. Can I just say myself, I can see exactly what they mean, and it's such a pleasure to see someone who is clearly very very good at their chosen art, enjoy performing it so much!
with in the last 20 minutes you have completely shocked me... I wish I had known about your channel sooner.... it's just amazing bad ass nerdiness and I can officially die happy ... you have an amazing talent sir
DUDE!! I've lost track of how many of your epic remix's iv'e listened to, but this one stands out like a peacock in a flock of geese! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, JULES!!
Considering that Link's Awakening is my favorite Legend of Zelda game, it should be no surprise that I absolutely loved the shit out of this medley. Seriously, every segment was fantastic, especially the Mysterious Woods one. I heard that song so much when I was a youngster, since, when I first started playing, I was rather bad at the game. Thus, nostalgia bombs were dropped.
Michael Anderson I totally understand. Link's Awakening was my first as well and one of the nearest to my heart - I played it legit without guides over the course of five years when I was just nine - so much of the music is a nostalgia trip!
I think I watch his videos at least twice. Once for the music, Twice just to watch his facial expressions while he plays. That is a man who loves his games and music.
I never played Link's Awakening, but some songs, in this case Overworld, Bottle Dungeon, mini-boss and boss battle themes are also in the Oracle games. Oracle of Seasons was the first video game I ever owned, so those themes really bring me back, and you really did them justice. And yeah! This version of the Overworld theme is the best!
One of my favorite Zelda games!!! First one I ever played, when I got my gameboy color! Insane mix man! the quality is crazy, keep up the amazing work!!!
1:15 - Tal Tal Heights is one of my favorite Game Boy (or possibly video games period) tunes ever. I used to just sit and listen to it on my original GB when the game was new (early '90s) and I was a teenager.
I grew up with the original GameBoy and Link's Awakening was one of the few games I had and my first foray into the Zelda series. Hearing this is soooo nostalgic. Keep up the good work :)
This was awesome as hell. I just finished playing Link's Awakening DX recently, also finished watching an LP of it. This inundation of Link's Awakening love is just awesome.
Incredible, especially the finale! Man! Ballad of the Windfish is one of my favorite tunes in the franchise. I was really hoping to hear the last boss music. Seems like you could really shred that one.
holy shit... today I heart this song on headset for the first time... in the bus... I couldn't stop smiling! goose bumps of hell ^^ oh and by the way... you've got awesome bass skills... I'm a bassist and I'm always impressed by your style! just love your videos ^^
Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game, so it holds a special place for me in regards to the rest of the series. It was had perhaps the saddest ending in any Zelda game in my opinion, and some of the best gameboy music to this day.
LOVED THIS GAME, and you sir have done a great job covering it. I remember being really happy hearing all the magical instruments come together for the ballad of the windfish. Awesome dude, OH and I'm still hoping for a cover of Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link!!
Hooooly Criminey! This is THE first cover of Links Awakening I've ever heard that actually used that tune in the VERY VERY beginning with the storm at sea! Awesome work!
Everytime you release a new video, I HAVE to go pickup my guitar again, it's the only time I play it as well. Keep up the good work, Jules! Looking forward to the rest of the year! -Zack1stclass
Very well done. I think the overworld theme from Link's Awakening is the most intricate overworld them out of all the games, and my favorite. Just my opinion. Great job.
I literally have no idea why I haven't seen this until now. This was one of my first games and you're one of my favorite cover artists. Your Tal Tal Heights is badass and Ballad of the Wind Fish nearly brought me to tears because of the sheer nostalgia. Amazing medley!
I've always felt Links awakening has been forgotten - People usually go for Ocarina of Time, Majoras mask or Wind waker as their fav Zelda game. Personally, I have a hard time picking either Majoras mask, or Links awakening - Both amazing games.
I have no idea what this mix was like before, but congrats on making a perfectionist get chills up and down his spine. This game defined my childhood and my love for video games, and you brought back memories of me putting the Game Boy speaker next to my ear under the covers at night just so I could hear that amazing music.
4:22 Gave some real nostalgia. Don't know why that one in particular. Also the overworld part was amazing, my favourite overworld theme from all of the games.
The Tal Tal Heights arrangement gave me goosebumps--i've always loved that theme. Your ocarina cover of Ballad of the Wind Fish quite literally brought tears to my eyes. I wish i could give you more than one like and favorite.
Ive been watching your videos since the start but you never cease to amaze me, the way you structure your medleys along with your flawless tone, and taking my most memorable childhood memories and doing them justice. Just wondering what program you used for the drums ? keep doing what you do.
We need a remaster of this! It's such a good mix of tracks, it deserves a modern re-balancing, because let's face it, it's pretty mid-heavy. Even my system EQ can't make it what it should be, and it should be amazing.
Let's be fucking honest. Bottle Grotto was begging for a metal version
FUCKING DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA DOONKA! DUDDA DUDDA DUDDA DUDDA DDUDA! BAAUUWWWWWWWWWAAWAAAAH!
@@MadNut321 FUCK YEAH, IT WAS!!!!!

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake brought me here :)
I look forward to listening to the remade soundtrack. This game has some of the best music.

I've had this sitting on a Watch Later list for an entire year. I beat LA for the first time, and just came back to listen.

If someone had rescued the windfish, it would have been you. That was so beautiful, I have tears in my eyes.
Tal tal heights and bottle grotto man epic as ever
These are two of my favorite themes in this game, so glad he put those two in there. xD
yeah definitely
This is fucking incredible. Why the hell does this not have at least a few hundred thousand views? And why the hell did it take me exactly a year to stumble upon it? Half my youtube history is filled with retro gaming, the other half electronic music and Opie and Anthony
This song is so Fucking Epic !
You only missed the Face Shrine song.
Tal Tal Heights, Mysterious Forest and Bottle Grotto... So EPIC! But I NEED a Tal Tal Heights extended version...
The Ballad of the Wind Fish always makes me well up.
Glad I wasn't the only one who went through the bottle grotto and thought, man, when this shit kicks in, it's metal as fuck
As soon as I saw this in related videos, I started to cry.
harry potter poster \m/
and this fucking rules. kudos.
OMG sword search acoustic FTW! Such an undercovered song, one of the most beautiful in the entire series imo!
This is one of my favorite soundtracks the Legend of Zelda had. I really liked the fame too.
That Tal Tal Heights Soundtrack always gives me shivers, so many memories *-*
I must've listened to this over 20 times over the last 1-2 days. It's just perfect. My fav part starts at 3:34. Your facial expression at 3:43 is awesome too. I love watching musicians when they get into the stuff they're doing.
Keep it up man, you're fucking awesome.
I like all of your work, Jules, but god damn... this is the best thing I've ever seen in video game covers ever. Hands down. Amazing.
I know I have already commented, but everytime im listening to this i realize how much I love that Games OST and how AWESOME this Medley is.
This was my favorite Zelda game and you did it perfectly. Thank you
4:45 This riff is so heavy it crushed my mind under the awesomness.
Watching this 7 years later and I still love it!
rewatching it that is. lol
This was a fucking great medley! The Bottle Grottle section was badass, and the entire arrangement was well done. I loved the ending, it's one that stays in your head even after the video is over. Nice job on this one Jules, I think it's one of your best medleys!

That was amazing. The ballad of the wind fish section at the end was great. Done the soundtrack to one of my favorite games a great justice.
Sword search will probably always be one of my favs

The Ballad of the Windfish, your version, it has the feeling that the game tried to give the players, and that's great. Good work man =)
Needed to listen to this cover again, once I heard nintendo is remaking Link's Awakening 😀🎸⚡🎸⚡
DUDE!! I've lost track of how many of your epic remix's iv'e listened to, but this one stands out like a peacock in a flock of geese! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, JULES!!

Jasmine Sweeney Thanks! It doesn't get better than Alphonse and Riza. :D
Yeah hahaha I love Winry too.

By far my favourite of all your videos, loved the game and I've never heard its soundtrack arranged so well, Love it!
Your new mixing/mastering technique sounds much better than the old way and it really helps to beef up the covers! Amazing job once again!
Love sword search cover. This is one of my favorite zelda midi files from back in the days. Awesome work brutha!
1:15 - Tal Tal Heights is one of my favorite Game Boy (or possibly video games period) tunes ever. I used to just sit and listen to it on my original GB when the game was new (early '90s) and I was a teenager.

Oh my God it's been some years I waited for a Metal Medley of Zelda LA ! You're my hero !
I don't know HOW you manage to make me feel nostalgic about games I've never played, but you seem to do it a lot!
Incredible, especially the finale! Man! Ballad of the Windfish is one of my favorite tunes in the franchise. I was really hoping to hear the last boss music. Seems like you could really shred that one.

I've been subscribed to you forever, and I JUST NOW found this. Blew my god damn dick off.
Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game, so it holds a special place for me in regards to the rest of the series. It was had perhaps the saddest ending in any Zelda game in my opinion, and some of the best gameboy music to this day.

I love what Koji Kondo did in this game. and how some tunes were used in the other GBC games. great composer, and great job to you, Jules

the "game over" brought me to tears
that ending made me cry like a freaking baby :')
That miniboss theme was pure madness. And that ballad of the windfish - so beautiful. you really made the most out of those nostalgic 8 bit tunes.
Very well done. I think the overworld theme from Link's Awakening is the most intricate overworld them out of all the games, and my favorite. Just my opinion. Great job.
One of the greatest medleys you can find.
Very very great! I just have to listen to it again and again :D
this is seriously one of the best covers I have ever heard! I love all your videos
Many years on, this is still one of my favourite things you've ever done!
I literally have no idea why I haven't seen this until now. This was one of my first games and you're one of my favorite cover artists. Your Tal Tal Heights is badass and Ballad of the Wind Fish nearly brought me to tears because of the sheer nostalgia. Amazing medley!

Yeah, I absolutely love Links Awakening too! Play it again at the Moment, after playing it 20 Years ago! Its still as much Fun as at the first Time
This is how I feel too. Awakening and Majora are my favorites.
Because they shake up the formula, at least a little bit.
Never too late to express your love for this game.
True indeed :3
I love OoT but Link to the Past is definitely one of my all time favorites
I have no idea what this mix was like before, but congrats on making a perfectionist get chills up and down his spine. This game defined my childhood and my love for video games, and you brought back memories of me putting the Game Boy speaker next to my ear under the covers at night just so I could hear that amazing music.
4:22 Gave some real nostalgia. Don't know why that one in particular.
Also the overworld part was amazing, my favourite overworld theme from all of the games.
Awesome work man. Just love everything, specially the Ballad of the Wind Fish finish, simply beautiful.
The overworld theme from this game is my favorite from all TLOZ games :) you did a good job with it!
I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH! And its OST. And this Medley. And your Work!
I think I love you more and more after every cover! :D This is now on my all time favorites of your videos! (The facial expressions make me smile!!!)

One of your best medleys! I'll be listening to this for a long time
I read your description. Links awakening is one of the tops in many zelda ranking lists!
Brings back so many memories!!!!!! This is SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!
Never knew you could sweep. Prolly the only song that allows for it. Well you did a mini sweep type deal in oot melody. I digress
The sheer talent in this video is phenomenal
Ive been watching your videos since the start but you never cease to amaze me, the way you structure your medleys along with your flawless tone, and taking my most memorable childhood memories and doing them justice. Just wondering what program you used for the drums ?
keep doing what you do.
Love Sword Search and Bottle Grotto, really well done. I just missed a cover of the final battle against the Nightmares.
Kohohini island brought tears to my eyes i love that theme
Incredible... Brings back a lot of memories
You were doing the Link's Awakening metal cover before the remake. Aka before it was cool. I respect you for that.
So much emotions and nostalgia in your music, thanks dude ! It makes smile !
Oh god... the memories.... so much awesome in one video.
We need a remaster of this! It's such a good mix of tracks, it deserves a modern re-balancing, because let's face it, it's pretty mid-heavy. Even my system EQ can't make it what it should be, and it should be amazing.
I favorites this even before it started playing, this is my favorite in the series, and after listening all my hopes came true!
Man the intro of this is a lot heavier/djenty sounding than your usual stuff, interesting rendition and usage of your style!
the end is SO FUCKING AWESOME *.* This composition !!!! EPIC!!
I haven't even gamed in years, I just love your covers and think you're an amazing musician.
This is the best musical tribute I have ever seen for Links Awakening.
You have mad skills on that ocarina bro. Beautiful, just beautiful!
Best medley from that game ever. It's just so genius, thank you :-)
This is the most metal thing ever done to my childhood. You are a god, sir.
This is my wake up ring tone on my phone every morning. Perfect music to get you going.
Honestly I love all of your covers but I think this is the best one. I love the way it was done.

God yes man. This was my second favorite LoZ game.
Now this is my favorite cover of yours :D
