If Goku was never born it’s obvious a lot of things would change in the world of Dragon Ball, but people often overlook these repercussions when discussing the topic. If Goku didn’t land near Mount Paozu, Grandpa Gohan would have never become an adoptive grandfather nor would he have been killed by the young Saiyan.
This is a huge change that goes under-discussed when this topic is covered. You see, Grandpa Gohan was likely killed in his sleep considering the fact that he’s able to fight fairly evenly with Goku at Baba’s Palace. Remember, this is Goku AFTER he trained with Master Karin and beat Tao PaiPai - becoming a fighter that even Roshi thinks he can’t compete with anymore.

While on the subject of Grandpa Gohan, I always thought it was a missed opportunity to not include him in the Other World Tournament Saga. He didn't have to participate obviously, but it would have been nice to see him and Goku just spending time together even if it was filler.
He was assigned to watch over the Earth furnace or something.

More filler - in the last episodes of Dragonball Goku and Chichi have a series of adventures which culminates in them travelling to the worlds Furnace (or 8 Fold Furnace - can't remember the exact name). The Furnace is maintained by Annin-Sama and Grampa Gohan is there as her assistant/partner.

Without the Chosen One, then Earth will fall, Frieza’s empire will expand throughout many galaxies, Buu will be free from his Pink Cocoon and set loose to destroy everything in the universe. As Buu destroys planet after planet, galaxy after galaxy, the Mortal Level Ratings of Universe 7 will drop so low that Zeno would proceed to erase without a second thought. Goku is the key to Universe 7’s survival, the light in the true darkness, the one will help bring Mortals and Gods closer together. Like it or not, Goku is the Soul of Dragon Ball.

Dragon ball goes horribly; king piccolo conquers the earth (saying and freeze never go to earth unless years pass). Vegeta likely grows closer to Freeza as a soilder continuing his resentment towards him, until Berus, or Buu, awakens. If Buu awakens, Freeza and the Genyue Force (how'd I spell that?) train to kill Buu. If Beruz wakes up, he'll eventually find brolly, and likely eliminate most remaining Sayins along the way.
The Buu thing is weird, because if Future Babidi supposedly spent decades slowly gathering energy without a ton of Super Saiyans to draw from, why would Buu be awakened within Gohan’s lifespan with no Saiyans whatsoever? All he’d have to draw on are characters that are, at best, low Namek Saga tier.

0:20 Imagine the full moon came out a few hours earlier and Gohan didn't die? Outside how Goku's power would let him breeze through the first two arcs, it is possible that Gohan's training would give him the strength of mind/spirit to control his Oozaru form - which I think would be pretty neat.
Edit: Just thought of this, but Gohan surviving would also lead to a socially well-adjusted Goku that knows more than Train, Fight, Eat, Repeat.

How depressingly beautiful. A truly perfect yet awful ending. It really does show how much Goku did for the series.
Buu's fate would be dependent on how seriously Frieza takes the threat and how much time he has to prepare. He's been shown to surpass Buu with 6 months of training. It would have taken Babidi much longer to gather enough energy to wake Buu without the Z fighters. It would likely put Frieza in his crosshairs as the biggest source of energy. Maybe Supreme Kai makes a deal with Frieza.
Or Babidi plays both out against each other, gathers the dragon balls and makes new "dark" ones with his magic. We would be all his slaves, then, like Spopovitch. What a happy ending! :)

Goku not existing also changes Bulma's motivation because Tights would be dead without Jaco there to rescue her because he wouldn't have come to Earth to track Goku.
I think you forgot Merus. He would definitely stop Buu and Freeza at some point, without even using his angel powers (Since he was comparable to a very powerful goku from the moro saga). He would continue to act as a member of the Galactic Patrol maintaining the mortal level of universe 7 relatively well, and without two zenos, there would never be a tournament of power, probably causing universe 7 to maintain itself well for a long time.
By then, wouldn't zero wipe out universe 7?
@@joshkjoby8400 Without Future Trunks' time travel causing random events to change, the timeline Gohan is in will play out more similarly to the Future timeline. So thus, Meerus would have _at least_ a few years to defeat Buu and Frieza, possibly longer since Zeno didn't seem to want to destroy the universe until seeing Zamasu

@@MrDj232 I believe even without the Androids the timeline should follow the natural course of the future timeline. I think the Future and Main timeline changes occur only due to time travel, which wouldn't happen here

Pui Pui and Yakon being the end game villains is awesome. You could theoretically continue the story with Future Bulma going back in time and warning of Babidi and Roshi training to his Tournament of Power levels in response. Or the Earthings devising a plan for Devil Man to shoot Dabura with his devilmite beam lol
Buu would also just kill Babidi at some point, as even Goku saw that happening without him having to goat Buu into it. And if Buu ever shows glimpses of good because of the Grand Supreme Kai, then he’d probably become Super Buu at some point because he dropped his candy or some sh*t. Which would lead to an even more Evil Buu rampaging around the universe
potentially but i dont think so. buu only killed babidi because of goku's words. As long as babidi keeps feeding him i think hell be okay just like his ansestor bibidi .But buu might get bored and leave babidi anyways and just wonder around the universe aimless and destroy planets for fun if they dont making him happy. If someone in the universe is able to teach him empathy ( which is unlikely cuz who whould try to live with a tyrant only satans that dumb😭😭) then he would turn into super buu and delete the universe for fun and absorbing all the strong people and truly becoming bulit different. hed still die to the universe erazer tho.
@@abduking4204 the anime version makes out to be more so of Goku’s influence, but in the manga Goku does tell Piccolo he saw that happening anyway. And we don’t see the relationship with Bibidi, so we don’t know if we just name calling Buu. And Bibidi also mostly worked with Kid Buu, who acts differently than Fat Buu.

@@johngulster7787 Frieza never met Super Saiyans, so his hatred towards the race and Goku specifically wouldn’t urge him to train. And Beerus would ultimately kill him if they ever met again, as he said he would in the Battle of Gods arc/movie
Beerus would be long gone because Buu killed the Kaioshin. Also i don't think Babidi would have any troubles keeping Buu happy, since there is noone that can oppose him. The only people strong enough to pose any threat are all evil. The only thing that would happen if they meet Freeza is Majin Freeza. Also Freeza stands no chance agains Dabra. Oh and if Buu ever goes super, that only helps Babidi, since he can just control him with his evil at that point.@@joeker5208
I think the only reason Grandpa Gohan was so strong by the time of Baba's tournament was because he had been constantly training in other world. Without that, I think he probably would have been about as strong as Goku in the 21st world tournament, mostly because of him not being in his prime.
That is my headcanon as well, personally.
It's cool to see Majin Buu actually get a win for once. Every What If either has the characters kill Babidi before he can awaken Buu, or have Buu die immediately because the protaganists are uber powerful.

The outcome depends on whether goku wasn’t there because he was never born, or he died on the way to earth (like idk crashed into Jupiter or the sun). Because in one raditz doesn’t attack, but in the other he does. In that case I would assume kami would resort to fusing with king piccolo to become stronger than raditz
piccolo wouldn't be freed by the pilaf gang tho and if kami does free him piccolo probably wouldn't want to fuse with him anyways so raditz probably just leaves and assume kakarot died on earth since he was a low class warrior.

To give Earth some survival chance we can say that Babidi never gets enough energy to release buu thus either Babidi gives up or uses Dabura to do a majin Buu role, which migth give Earth a few years of survival depending on how Babidi chooses and even then about GT, Baby would either possess Dabura or kill him because Hildo was said to be as strong as buu and bad ending for GT

Considered how evil Frieza and King cold are. They'd probably fall to Babidi control and becoming majin servant(If Babidi considered that Frieza influence are worthy of being used by him). This is the fun part, Babidi will rank up from like lower level threat to high ranking threat. He's probably try to destroy everything at this point and he would probably accidentally destroy galactic patrol causing Moro to be freed.
(Post Wish)Moro and Buu fight would probably happened Though Moro would still lose because he didn't gain Goku and Vegeta power, . he will pull the trump card of Moro 73 and become perfect. Now this is the fun part Moro 73 have high level of power boost so Moro 73 vs Majin Buu will be one of the most intense fight in this timeline... And Moro still lose since Buu instinctively use grand kai power or.... Let's make this worse
Buu then absorb Moro and became Super Buu since Evil part of Buu is more intense than innocent part, At this point he would gain his own ego and kill Babidi allowing him to became the true devourer of the universe.
And it's still end with U7 erasure.

This makes a lot of sense. I don't think I have ever heard someone mention that Grandpa Gohan would still be alive. So it makes sense that the martial arts master would go on the adventures instead. I don't think Babidi would have been able to get the power he needed to resurrect Majin Buu. Goku's Son Gohan had a battle power was in the millions when he got his power siphoned. Same with Majin Vegeta fighting SSJ2 Goku. Grandpa Gohan's power wouldn't need to be over 1000 to beat all the villains they encountered. So everything would be fine. With no one with a Battle Power Over 1000 they would be fine.
In the Future Trunks timeline we learned that Babidi collected small amounts of energy over many years to eventually free Buu. It will take much longer, but eventually he would be able to free Buu. Also when Babidi finally meets Freeza, it would speed up dramatically. He could either just have Majin Freeza fight Dabra until enough power is released, if that is possible, or just use Freezas massive empire to collect energy from everywhere.
Oh boy. Without Goku, then either Emperor Pilaf or the Red Ribbon Army would take over the Earth. Than, Babidi would come over to revive Majin Buu and destroy everything.
And then Zeno destroy’s universe 7 due to low mortal ratings

Let's see....
Raditz would arrive and murder people around to provoke, and then in duo with Piccolo Goku would defeat Raditz. Than King- kai training and Vegeta, Nappa arrival. Goku would destroy Nappa, and together with Piccolo they would defeat Vegeta. Since Kuririn is most probably dead, Piccolo would kill Vegeta. Freeza would catch info about Dragon balls and go to Name seeking for immortality, than Goku and Piccolo would also go to Namek to find the way to ressurect the guys who already died twice...
In short: Goku and Piccolo would be best buddies beating down villains.

Wouldn't Gohan wish for youth after he trained with kami? I mean with kami's permission it should be possible. King piccolo wished for youth and he became quite a threat. So I feel like gohan should've wished for youth, then he could keep training new fighters and protecting the world from new threats and let's say radditz shows up on earth with a small scouting squad for business and gohan sacrifices his life like goku did to kill radditz. He'd also be recognized by king kai and learn the kaioken and the spirit bomb, also king kai would tell him all about frieza, namek, yardrat, Supreme kai, buu, and Beerus. since there isn't really any incoming threat to earth like nappa and vegeta, so there's plenty of time. Also Since gohan keeps guard of all the dragon balls. I'll say yamacha uses them to bring him back. So you got a young Gohan with kaioken and spirit bomb, also he'd probably teach it to his students to so, everyone has kaioken now. It's a kaioken bargain sale. Gohan would then go to yardrat with Bulma's help and learn instant transmission and Spirit Fission. The yardrat elder would probably tell him about someone that knows about Fusion, so he'd go to that person and learn the fusion technique to. Then to namek, since frieza doesn't know about dragon balls, he's not there, so guru would see gohan as a great warrior and unlock his potential. So with that gohan heads home to earth, to find more frieza force goons and deals with them easily. Now being stacked with so much knowledge and power. Gohan is the strongest on earth for sure, teaching all he knows to his students incase looming threats arrive. Also, I'll say roshi at some point also wished for youth and learned gohan's other worldly techniques. At some point we'll get a badass fusion of these two powerful men, Goshi or Roshan. Now that sounds like epic dragon ball Z without goku.

I would assume that Gohan would be the sort of person to become Guardian of Earth/Kami. I am fairly certain with his protection of the Dragon Balls and permission from Kami, he would be able to get Eternal Youth like King Piccolo did to enable Gohan to become Guardian in case Kami wanted to retire, or in order to act as a long-term protector of Earth, the Guardianship Role becoming Two (The Observer, and the Defender).
As for the power problem, honestly considering Babiddi would be draining people's energy for years, I bet that Kami would notice and after sensing a bit more would feel the monsterous ki of Dabura, him and Gohan formulating a plan on how to deal with Buu.
A Eternal-Youth Gohan in his prime body probably would be among the strongest Earthlings in existence, likely able to defeat Puipui and Yakkon after Supreme Kai Training. However Dabura is the big obstacle, which is where the Wish to Get rid of all evil people in the Red Ribbon Army made by Gohan earlier could come into play.
Why wouldn't Gohan make a wish along the lines of "I wish for Majin Buu's egg to be moved into a Black Hole where no one can unleash him"
The Supersittous Babiddi would not understand what exactly happened before it was far too late, and unlike Goku refusing to get teleported to Earth, Buu is dormant, it'd be like asking for the Forest to be restored in the Tree of Might movie, or for Shenron to move a boulder.
Now, that would leave Dabura and Babiddi still on earth, but I feel Babiddi would try to go back out and search for the egg immediately rather than risk it be destroyed (Not knowing that it either was in fact destroyed or put in a place where anyone who could release it could never escape/would get torn to atoms).
And even then, a Garduain Duo of Kami and Gohan, ones who understand the power of the Dragon Balls and are capable of using them to their potential to defend the Earth and the Universe, would probably formulate a wish to help deal with Dabura, maybe having Gohan, with his Eternal Youth wish from Earlier, get granted a wish similar to what Granolah got? There isn't anything explicitly saying that Shenron can't do a "Trade-off" to enable a wish beyond his power. And the Trade-off in this instance already is undone by another Wish. Or heck, the trade-off in this instance could be removing the Eternal Youth, and allowing Gohan to age again starting from wherever his Physical Prime was.
I just see multiple ways a Gohan who used the Dragon Balls to eliminate the Red Ribbon Army and whole effectively defended them for the back part of his life, and was trained as the next Garudian of Earth, and by Supreme Kai wouldn't use the Dragon Balls in a manner to defend Earth and especially the Universe when Buu and Babiddi came around.
And that is without considering Buu tendencies to go against Babidi if someone else gets close to him.
I think you extremely overestimate the role of earths guardian or the power of Kami's dragonballs.

Even in Cannon the Earth Dragon Balls were able to revive mass amounts of people, or revive powerful people.

And dont you think if Moving Buu was an option, Supreme Kai wouldve just did that either by himself or with the dragonballs? 1. Supreme Kai seemed to not realize Earth Had Dragon Balls when it was brought up. Chock another one up to his education being cut short due to Buu's killing and absorption of his mentors.
2. It'd have a cost to do so if possible as a wish like Toronbo's wish for Granolah. And even if not, there is the chance Babidi would leave Earth immediately to find Buu's egg which would take him a good while and give the party time to prepare and maybe use the Dragon Balls to ask how to attain power to beat Dabura, consulting the Namekian book of Legends (God Ki?)

I mean with supreme Kai's training there's a chance to get a strong (and smart) fighter to stop Babidi. Also if buu gets revived he could turn against Babidi if someone gets closer to him regardless of power level. Overall Goku not existing is a improvement to earth that won't get dependent on aliens to save itself and if earth gets destroyed Kami is to blame for being picky about who he trains
While it would be tough, it is possible for the earthlings to beat babidi and his henchman. The evil containment wave can be used to seal away Dabura and Buu (if he does get released somehow). As for the rest, Tien can just tribeam them away basically. Krillin can just do solar flare and then cut Yakon in half with a destructo disk. Heck, he can do that to Dabura too. While they may not be strong enough to take them all directly, by training with the Supreme Kai and using the time chamber, they could possibly reach Dabura's level. Babidi would take far longer to resurrect Buu than in the main timeline, so the earthlings would have more time to prepare. Best case scenario, the z-sword is pulled out and Elder Kai is released, who then releases the potential from all of the fighters. This would allow them access to the Beast form if they power up enough, which could give them the edge in defeating Dabura or even Buu with enough training.
only sayians can use the beast form as far as we know all the humans in dragon ball have no transformations
they didn't go to train with kaiosama since the saiyans didn't came to earth so tri beam them is not an option.

Interesting thought, could Ginyu steal Buu's body? I think Buu was shown to be easily distracted enough that you could get a shot in like the body swap, and then Ginyu would be strong enough to do whatever. I don't remember him ever being disloyal to Frieza so ig he could help train Frieza to Gold and Black levels eventually. That is if something doesn't destroy Universe 7 before 10 years after Buu like your suggested Zeno, or I like the idea of Champa arriving to get revenge for his brother. Ik we haven't seen Black Frieza much in action but I'm just hoping we get to see him thrash Beerus in the next arc and make the stakes super high again, but that's just a hope of mine. For the timeline without Goku though, maybe Frieza is that strong and becomes the next Destroyer and continues cultivating his Empire and in a way making Universe 7 the strongest as he grows it, since mindless destruction was never his angle.

I would say no, if only because I think the question of him stealing Frieza's body wouldn't be possible and i think it was due to how strong Frieza is that it wouldn't have happened. I think Ginyu had to atleast be close to their strength to steal their body (though this is hypothetical). If he can though, I don't think he would due to how loyal he is to Frieza. Heck he had a chance to live a new life when he swapped with Tagoma and he went straight back to Frieza just so Vegeta could get the kill (something i'm still annoyed by, it would have been neat if Ginyu wished back his comrades and we got the Ginyu force back into the series, or maybe he formed a new group with new fighting poses, but couldn't shake it that he missed his old team
@@romram7984 well he swaps with Bulma and Tagoma in the anime while a literal frog and Goku was definitely strong enough to beat him on Namek so I don't think power can block it, just speed to escape it. I always thought Ginyu was just loyal to Frieza for some unknown reason and that was why he didn't try to take his body. Frieza always seems weirded out by him but maybe its also a little bit of fear like what drove him to eradicate the Saiyan race, and that's why Ginyu has his own Force and usually isn't around Frieza unless he really needs him like on Namek. Anyway I think if Buu sat there and let Goku transform for 5 minutes I think Ginyu could pull off the swap, but Buu was only the way he was because of the Supreme Kais so maybe Ginyu would have to deal with their personalities too or maybe he'd just accidentally unleash Kid Buu and doom everyone.
While Ginyu maybe could steal Buus body, there is absolutely no way that can ever happen, because Freeza, and his entire army would be in service of Babidi, since he can control everyone that has even a speck of evil in his heart.

I'm sure most of the main characters like Krillin or Yamcha would eventually reach low Saiyan Saga levels at a much later age. Assuming Buu isn't released too early, Frieza would probably eventually reach Earth and take it over. If by that point the earthlings were taught about KI and Martial Arts, they'd probably just all work for Frieza. If this what if has any power creep, Buu would eventually be dealt with by the humans. That is, assuming he doesn't get released too early.
