Thank you for sharing Katie, my husband and I started Keto December of last year, then carnivore August 2. I am 70 and he is 80! We incorporated exercise in May, 2 mile walk with rebounding boots, and weight machines 3 times a week. Now that Florida mornings are cooler we will do walks 5 days a week. I’ll be honest, a year ago I couldn’t even get off the floor w/o help. What a difference carnivore and exercise has made. Doing it together has been wonderful! We encourage each other everyday.
This is a wonderful testimony. Thank you for sharing. I love how you have each other in the carnivore to great health. My husband is interested but not focused as yet. He travels a lot for work and we have a small family so our lifestyles are somewhat different. Even so, I love eating the carnivore diet now and bushwalking and hope to increase and add in weights. Love how active you guys are. Godblless.
Omigoodness, just when I think I can't be any more delighted with your videos, here comes you and Katie!!!!! She is absolutely LOVELY, DELIGHTFUL, and INTELLIGENT!! I would have expected nothing less from a wife of yours, Dante. What a BLESSING to have a chance to share this journey with the both of you.
Thank you for sharing your video! I am four months in and loving it! I just learned something SUPER interesting. When Dr. Chaffey says that "plants are trying to kill you", he isn't kidding. I just watched a video from "Sadhguru" and he said, "If a group of elephants come and start grazing on a particular species of trees, within 20 minutes, all the other trees (leaves) in that region belonging to that same species turn bitter and mildly poisonous. The plants are communicating, "We're being eaten up". The elephants know about it, so they will graze quickly in one place and not even bother to graze in the area, because they know they will turn bitter. So they travel further away and again start eating. SO FASCINATING!
Happy Birthday! 😊 My wife started Carnivore just about 2 months ago after seeing what it's done for me. She's had cravings too. She didn't have the broad issues I did. She has eaten vegetables 3 times and I told her that for her I doubt that is going to hurt anything. She's lost 20lbs. But, something interesting happened with her blood work. In January 2022 She was on an extremely fat restrictive diet. She had a lipid panel drawn. Her LDL cholesterol was 168. At that time she weighed 30 to 40lbs less. She's given birth to twins since, (11 months ago) and that of course caused a good bit of weight gain. According to modern medicine that cholesterol is considered high although I put no stock in that. The other day, she had blood drawn. Her LDL was 97. This is after 2 months carnivore and before that 5 months of a heavy meat diet. Her triglycerides, although low previously as well, also fell by 10 points. Her doctor didn't know what to say when she told her that she is carnivore and that's why her cholesterol fell by 71 points after eating a diet super high in saturated fats. It stunned her doctor but after hearing this she encouraged my wife to carry on. It was nice to see a doctor give the thumbs up on carnivore because it is working and not an automatic thumbs down because of tired and old information that is now being proven wrong.
salt, lime, and sparkling water is a drink we do in Mexico called a Russian or suero depending were in the country... very refr4esding and it works well to re-hydrate... hospitals use it here as well
12 ounces cold agua mineral (in the U.S., Topo Chico is my preferred brand of mineral water) 3/4-1 teaspoon of salt juice of 1 lime adjust to your salt needs
Katie - when you have those chocolate cravings, try eating some butter. I know it sounds weird, but it really helps. The fat takes away the cravings for sugar.
My wife was fully supported and all in. She consumes a few more clean carbs because she went down to 95lb body weight which is optimal for her height. The flab behind her arms is gone she is muscled up and looms great at age 61. Her support has helped me stay on course…..stay with it you will be amazed at how great you will feel. Few weeks you will be in this without side effects. 💪
Great that she is open to trying the diet. My hubby is diabetic and eats lots of sugar and junk food and won't stop bringing all the junk food into the house. Makes it hard on me.
I can tell she is being honest about her experience and is not just echoing someone else's point of view. This makes the lifestyle changes all the more attractive because it allows some nuance. There's real freedom in that. Too often I see people pushing an agenda with a singular, dogmatic point of view and that just doesn't seem real. I think having a partner with a strong sense of independence keeps us on a balanced track. Hopefully I'm making sense here. Thanks for sharing a bit of your vacation birthday celebration with us.
What a sweet lady you are Katie! All the best with your Carnivore journey. I've just started and it's amazing the results gained after just one week. Hopefully this lifestyle will gain traction amongst the wider community with more exposure...
Katie had me looking back to my 40th and if I knew then what I know now this past 17 years would have been a whole lot different. You are blessed to have a supportive partner and I hope to hear more from Katie. ❤
Happy birthday Katie. And well done for starting. I told my wife aboout carnivore at about lunch time of the 2nd of January this year. I'd been looking at it for a month because a good percentage of the Bitcoiners I follow on Twitter are doing it. Fortunately for me, we both started on the 3rd and haven't looked back!
Carnivore is different for men and women. Doing what your husband knows is not the way you should do it. Women's hormones play a HUGE role and need to be treated as such. Look up eating real butter. If you eat a stick a day, it rids you of all cravings and reduces cortisol. It truly is amazing. You will feel different if you treat yourself differently ❤
Hey, Katie! Happy Birthday! 🥳 When you have a craving, maybe you can try whipped brown butter with glycine. Glycine is an amino acid that tastes sweet. Dr. Wiedeman (CarnivoreDoctor) has a video making whipped brown butter (I make mine a little lighter because otherwise the cooked proteins at the bottom of the pot taste a bit bitter to me). Once the brown butter has cooled and been whipped, I sometimes add glycine to it, mix it up (not too vigorously), put about a teaspoon full of the mixture in each of the wells of a candy mould (the Ketogenic Woman shows how she does this) and then put it either in the fridge or freezer. Once they have hardened, I wrap them in parchment or wax paper and store them in a plastic bag in the freezer, or put them in a jar in the refrigerator. I have one or two if I feel like having something after my meal (ground beef for steak) or at night about 1 hour before bed because both fat and glycine are good for sleep quality. Having a little extra glycine with meat is really great because you get both glycine and cysteine in the beef itself. The cysteine is converted to N-acetyl cysteine in the body and combines with the glycine to form glutathione which is the mother of all antioxidants. It also keeps aging at bay. There has recently been a lot of coverage of N-acetyl cysteine and glycine supplementation reversing aging markers, but we don't really need that supplementation if we are eating plenty of healthy beef, since it contains those building blocks. Wishing you and Dante the best! 👋
It’s a journey for sure. Katie did great. Her story will most definitely help another woman try carnivore. You both should be proud of that video. It shows why God made Eve for Adam
Haven't finished the video yet but on the chocolate - I (the wife) was the one to embark on the carnivore diet in our house and my husband has slowly come on board but he has his things, including the dark chocolate.. still he has had huge benefits, lost 15kg in weight and stopped snoring! So, its okay to do the version that works for each person. Dropping the worst of it can be enough.
I love how genuine Katie is and open about her food journey espeically about how she can tell the next day if she has had sugar the day before. Same here. When strict carnivore i wake up great but if i have had a slip up or a little more dairy or coffee i can feel it the next day. Dont think we can really get away with anything in this world. Its our testing ground isnt it? We are to expect to be tested as we must earn our stars for heaven.
Awww love seeing you, as a couple, encouraging each other. We went Keto together and it has been amazing. I am venturing more and more into the carnivore world. I call myself a ketovore. I'm also implementing a 24 hour fast now, once a week, for some hormonal reset issues. I'm 57 and my husband is 63. We reversed so many diseases and feel so good. I have to say, covid and a horrible spider bite that got infected, and menopause have set me back some. That is why I'm starting the fasts. Keep going guys!!!!!!!! It's an encrouagement to us. And we are believers too. Love hearing you give Praise to our God!
Hi Dante and Katie .. waw you guys are a beautiful power couple.. happy birthday Katie🎉 .. wishing you success and can't wait for your updates .. Dante you're spot on onthe dark chocolate and coffee ☕️ 😅 thank you for sharing.. its very encouraging and i share with family and friends to encourage this way of living cos its a lifestyle.. Dr Baker sounded crazy back then about the beef and eggs.. today its my lifestyle.. never been stronger .. lot's of love and prayers from Johannesburg 🇿🇦
Awesomeness! She is learning, she sounds self disciplined and committed to her husband for this challenge... as she forms her new habits adhering to a new life menu, reward yourself a nibble treat of dark chocolate or diet sprite.. etc. As your journey matures your cravings will change. As you learn how the chocolate impacts inflammation you'll adapt... it sounds like she doing it for her husband... hopefully, after she experiences longterm benefits to health, she'll realize she's committed for herself... hang in there Girl, you can do it!
Happy Birthday Katie and thank you for sharing. My husband and I have been keto for a long time and we went Carnivore Sept. 1st. We were inspired by @carnivoresoldier. Nine days in and I find that I crave sweets every night. For the longest time we would have some Lily's Chocolate at night or a keto ice cream bar and we always had monk fruit in our coffee in the morning. Last night I put a little butter in a mug of hot water and that totally took the edge off and made me forget about "a little something sweet". I'm looking forward to this healing adventure/WOE.
Keep up the great work the fact that yr open minded to try my wife started carnivore with me and I'm over joyed so keep doing it yr way and you will be successful. Just keep communicating with the old man (lol) God bless and good luck.
If she could go 100% those cravings would go away. That’s true freedom for me. But she’s doing what works for her. Good for her! It is different when it’s not an emergency.
I had no idea you lived in Dunnellon! We live there too! My husband & I are carnivores also. We have had wonderful results going carnivore and we helped our 14 year old loose 40 pounds eating this way! It has helped relieve my joint pain, anxiety, bloating, gas, & my body composition has really changed. I love the freedom from food addiction. Hope to see you around the WEC. God bless!
Great perspective on how we are all different and we have to approach it in our own way. Good for Katie! Super proud of her putting in the work and making the changes towards creating a healthier life!
Great job, Katie! I am impressed at how you know your body and abilities well enough to know how to adopt the new lifestyle in a manner which works for you. Dante’s way is not the only way. You two make a great team! Keep going. Looking forward to your progress updates.
Hello Dante. I Loved your wife and her input!!! I Will keep trying...65 year old female trying to go Carnivore and now I feel like I can do it like Katie...1 thing at a time!! Awesome video. 😊
Oh I'm so happy to hear from Katie! I have the same issue with dark chocolate lol. I bought Lily's sugar free dark chocolate chips and have a couple every once in awhile. I hope she keeps going! I had a terrible Sprite addiction as well. I'm so happy that is gone!
The interaction between you and your wife is pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing, Dante. I'm struggling at the beginning of carnivore, and this video helps.
Me too. She’s coming around in that too. She’s always been introverted so it’s a struggle for her to be this publicly available. I rush in where angels fear to tread I’m so extroverted, lol. Thank God I was instilled with good values early because I’m also highly open to experience so I could have turned out to be quite the mess. I’m still a mess, but an organized mess I guess. 😄
Awesome video, thank you Katie for Sharing with us, as always thank you brother, my wife is not doing carnivore but is slowly adding more meat and slowly cutting other stuff out, I support her 💯 the same as she supports me and always has, awesome couple, God bless.
Girl, I can relate to the cravings! The struggle is real, as they say. But I feel so much better on fatty beef, low carb and that helps me. Thanks for sharing your experience and I wish you the best! Hello from Ohio :)
Thank you for sharing! I lost 60 lbs on a low carb, restricted calorie diet, about 2 years ago and kept it off. My depression went away for about 6 months and came back again full force with brain fog. I did some research and found that the carnivore diet has helped some people. I talked to my husband about it and he decided to join me. We have been on the carnivore diet for about a week now and my depression has gone away and I have lost 3lbs. Also I find myself having so much energy I need to burn off that I actually want to work out.
Glass of water, sea salt, apple cider vinegar, and a few drops of stevia, makes a very nice, refreshing drink. Can use carbonated water and flavoured stevia.
Yay 🎉 30 days, Katie. I was a diet pepper and dark chocolate addict so I know how hard it is to give those up. What helped me with the soda craving was the la croix or other sparkling water. As far as the dark chocolate I just gave that up. I miss it but once I gave up the sugars the cravings stopped. You’re doing great!!
Occasionally I make Dr. Kiltz carnivore icecream with 4 egg yolks, 1 pt of cream, a pinch of salt and a few tblsp of your fav keto sweetener. I add 1-2 tblsp of decaf instant coffee to this and it tastes like haagendaz coffee icecream.
Happy Birthday, Katie! Thank you for sharing. You're right about chipping away at addictive foods. Sometimes it's just too much to get rid of everything at once. I'm doing the same thing. Looking forward to hearing more of your results. God bless you!!!
another great episode and it was good to hear your wife in the early stages. I've been on carnivore since July of a year ago and just recently because of traveling I got a little bit off kilter and found myself a little bit getting hungry at the wrong times and eating the wrong stuff but getting a reminder from her that it was important to get that protein in the morning and then get back to the schedule of being able to get your second meal around 1 o'clock rang True !
Thank you both for sharing your thoughts with all of us. God bless you for being so honest, all the best to both of you. Happy Birthday to your wife. 🙂
Dante, If you hadn't made it clear, I would have thought Katie was your daughter. :) :) Getting off soda is a huge step, but it does have to be a way that works for you Katie - according to your psychology and in your control. I've been looking into maintaining strength, stamina and bone density --and you are right on time getting serious about it right now. HIIT and resistance training and sprinting (not long distance running swimming or biking) seem to be coming out at the top of every list for those specific goals. You got this!
lol, she appreciates that. I am 11 years older than she is, but I tell her all the time that she has been blessed with genetics that has kept her looking youthful, but I’ve been encouraging her in this direction because genetics can only get you so far when you’re constantly consuming poison. She knows we’re up against a wall in the way the world works today, but even she is slow to put the changes into practice that free us from it. It’s a daily battle.
It’s so great that your wife is getting involved in the videos and that you guys can eat together and work out together. You should make a video about your wife’s favorite cuts compared to your favorite cuts of meat. Also does she like the fat or does she avoid it I know it grosses some people out? I love it.
Hi Katie, and Happy Birthday! U2 are a very handsome couple! Katie, I've had similer struggles with carnivore and I think it's a smart idea you hve taking baby steps. But what you've done is really HUGE leaving the soda behind! Oh, I by the way, my favorite soda is Vernors Ginger Ale. Keep up the good work and with Dante around for encouragement your gonna be fine.
The chocolate/ice cream/coffee craves gradually went away~ AFTER I got enough extra fat into my day. It was both salt & fat that my body was lacking, so the soda/coffee/sweets/etc went away after my salt & fat levels finally leveled up. Same applied- for me- w/potatoes & other foods. It truly seemed to have everything to do with the fat & the salt.
Great chat on your experience. I think we all try and do our best even when we have the information on what the “right” thing to do is. None of us are perfect. I know, I keep trying.
Awesome. I’m near Crystal River, and The Equestrian Center is on my list of places to visit. And my DREO should be arriving next week. Thank you for your inspiration.
I switched to darker chocolate at the beginning. 70%, then 82%, then 90%, then 99% and then I stopped eating any. 99% cholocate is basically pure cacao fat and some oxalate. :-)
I understand that when we find something wonderful that works so well for us, we want the world to experience it. I can be a complete butt when I discover something. This time I decided to take the " I can show you better than I can tell you" approach. I let my family know when I'm beginning, and how we will handle money for groceries and meals, but im not asking or forcing anyone. Wishing everyone well!! ❤
Happy Birthday Katie! Dante is such a sweet husband to put healthy (snacks?) In your purse. How very thoughtful. You two are a special couple. Thanks for sharing your experiences Katie.
WOW Katie... I am IMPRESSED !!! You are doing FABULOUS !! YOU GO GIRL !! Such an absolute DOLL !! What a blessing to see a couple like the both of you !! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE !! MANY MORE! God Bless both of you !!
I think she did great! Letting go of sugar and processed carbs is really hard when you’re starting. My journey has been more of a process like she is talking about. I’m glad she shared her experience. I’ve been dialing down carbs over several years. I’ve been Ketovore since last fall.
That is Soooo inspiring !! Trying to get my parents to do it . They have this ideia they’re too old :/
Thanks you for sharing !! ❤
Wow! That’s great!
Don’t use machines! Use free weights and BW exercises ❤
I agree ❤
Em so excited to meet Katie. This is going to be great
Happy Birthday Katie!!! Thank you Dante for sharing your wife 30 day journey, and the carnivore diet. Awesome.

I swear the movie The Happening is all about the plants turning on us. 😎👍🏽
Happy Birthday Katie...I'm starting to realize the importance of eating more salt in my daily consumption.
I'll say it again. Dante Ferrigno is a pro to learn from when it comes to editing speech with a natural pacing.
I lived across the street from the equestrian center long before anything was there.1988. Moved away in 1997. Funny, now I'm on carnivore.
I love that she grabbed your hand when the sprinklers startled her… that is huge Dante.
Happy Birthday! 😊 My wife started Carnivore just about 2 months ago after seeing what it's done for me. She's had cravings too. She didn't have the broad issues I did. My husband has his stuff too. Yes its hard ..we dont agree on much and now its food too!
I can tell she is being honest about her experience and is not just echoing someone else's point of view. This makes the lifestyle changes all the more attractive because it allows some nuance.
Sodas are harder than alcohol in my experience. You're doing a great work.
Fun fact: No Irish had ever seen a potato just 500 years ago.
Excellent “WHY” Katie! I wish I started at your age, but I’m thankful I figured it out at all. Thank you for doing this! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Can you please and thank you give me the information on your club soda with salt recipe. What a great idea I love your channel.❤
I have been thinking about dehydrating and making my own carnivore crisps.

Thanks Katie!! Happy Birthday🎉
The interaction between you and your wife is pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing, Dante. I'm struggling at the beginning of carnivore, and this video helps.
I love this video awesome to have your wife on board. She did an excellent job sharing her experience. I’d like to see more of y’all together.
Thank you for sharing Katie! Love the encouragement from this channel. Keep looking up, He comes soon!
Happy Birthday, Katie!!🎉
Great video Dante! I love the way you honor your wife and let her speak her mind. Great example! Thanks for sharing Katie - love the earrings!
Thank you for the honesty. It appears you are a great team. It helps to hear the different experiences couples have with carnivore.
Fantastic
Happy birthday, Katie!!! 🎉
I'm glad to hear that you're going to continue with this journey.
God Bless and take care.
Glass of water, sea salt, apple cider vinegar, and a few drops of stevia, makes a very nice, refreshing drink. Can use carbonated water and flavoured stevia.
Happy Birthday to your beautiful wife. You guys look wonderful and thank you for all that you do 🤗
Yay 🎉 30 days, Katie.
Happy birthday Katie
Occasionally I make Dr. Kiltz carnivore icecream with 4 egg yolks, 1 pt of cream, a pinch of salt and a few tblsp of your fav keto sweetener. I add 1-2 tblsp of decaf instant coffee to this and it tastes like haagendaz coffee icecream.
Very nice to hear from Katie, I struggle with wanting Tea, Coffee - with Honey and that is my challenge at present. Love Breakfasts too.
Good job, Katie!
chocolate craving is a magnesium deficiency...just keep eating beef and it will resolve itself.
I am day 7. Feeling so much better! But I am the only one in my family. So still navigating through.
Awesomeness. It’s a tough road, but anything worth doing usually isn’t easy. 😎👍🏽
Thank you both for sharing your thoughts with all of us. God bless you for being so honest, all the best to both of you. Happy Birthday to your wife. 🙂
Happy birthday, Katie. What a lovely place.
Dante your are the man!!!! Real big man ♥️
Congratulations Katie, and Happy Birthday to you!!!
Happy birthday, Katie. Thanks for the input!!!
How do you know the mints in the herb garden are having fun? They went to an amuse-"mint" park
Lily’s dark chocolate is a good option if you have to have chocolate. Still has stevia but better than sugar…
Love the interview with Katie. Happy birthday🎉
Thanks for your wife sharing... so much encouragement...
Happy birthday Katie from my wife Kitty and myself from Finland. Thanks guys for the informative video!😁👊
I hope you love it as much as I love mine 😎👍🏽🥩💧🧂
12 days carnivore now ,feeling good
Great to see the both of you and hear Katie's thoughts. Will she go for another 30 days? Make it 60?
Happy birthday! Thank you for sharing Katie!
Happy birthday Katie 🎉
I switched to darker chocolate at the beginning. 70%, then 82%, then 90%, then 99% and then I stopped eating any. 99% cholocate is basically pure cacao fat and some oxalate. :-)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!🎊
Happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉. Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing
I grew up in Ocala
Happy Birthday Katie! Dante is such a sweet husband to put healthy (snacks?) In your purse. How very thoughtful. You two are a special couple. Thanks for sharing your experiences Katie.

happy birthday kathy!
Thank you, thank you. This was EXTREMELY helpful to me. 🙏🏽❤️
I think she did great! Letting go of sugar and processed carbs is really hard when you’re starting. My journey has been more of a process like she is talking about. I’m glad she shared her experience. I’ve been dialing down carbs over several years. I’ve been Ketovore since last fall.
Awesome lady. Happy birthday.
Great Katie that you are able to join Dante on the Carnivore journey lifestyle. Cheers!
