I wish there was a Japanese weekly or monthly to look forward to. It’s hard finding content regularly to look forward to.

I find it so odd how I try to CZcams “guide of ____” character from uni and there is 1 video if I’m lucky. And it’s just combos with not commentary.

Yeah. 90% of the community's guides are google docs. Strange quirk of this game's resources

I don't know if you can make a video about this, but I was looking on the EVO website to see when UNI would be streaming and from what I saw, it's not even on the schedule. Maybe I am reading it wrong, but I do want to watch the tournament, and I legitimately can't find when it's streaming anywhere. This is incredibly frustrating to me...

Enough time has passed, UNI2 has new DLC. Can we now all start glazing this game like it’s the newest wave of Kagura Bachi fever?

There's no point in looking up guides for characters if there's not an adequate amount of new players to fight and practice with. That is the main problem, along with the game not having cross console play online. Until French Bread or the UNI community tries to push this game more towards casuals. It will never succeed, and that's just the fact of the matter. It doesn't matter how many 'easy' characters they put into UNI2. If the UNI community consists of nothing but veteran players who will beat down new players without mercy. The UNI community will never grow.

Agreed. This mentality among veterans of thinking that mercilessly destroying new players is just part of their learning experience is one of the reasons why new players don't stick around. "As a new player, you're going to lose a lot, over and over, that's normal. Keep getting demolished until you get better." That is legitimately one of the most smooth brained ideas that somehow stuck around.
That's not how humans work. People who just lose over and over will feel like they can't do anything, they will not understand anything, not have fun, get frustrated and quit. Telling them to just tough it out is not the way.

tldr for both this comment and the first reply comment: "YO WHERE THE NEW PLAYERS AT? I WANNA BEAT THE SHIT OUTTA NEW PLAYERS CAUSE THE OTHER PLAYERS ARE TOO STRONG"
next time when you get your ass kicked, go find out why instead of typing out all this bullshit. this what happens when you only care about winning and not improving

@@Icekin23 Exactly! And I'm not someone who is new to fighting games either. I have put thousands of hours into BBTAG. A game I had to completely learn from the ground up through CZcams videos and that, for me, took time. But the difference is BBTAG is about 7 years old now...but there are always new players coming in. Yes, the pool of players is EXTREMELY small, but that game heavily pushed itself towards EVERYONE. Not just veteran players who have years and years of experience. Because of that, BBTAG, to me, is still very much alive and you can find players to play with every day (mostly at night.)
With UNI2, new players are nonexistent, and as someone who really wanted to get into this game and I mean it. I REALLY wanted to learn UNI2...there is no one that is my level to practice with. This is the only way (for me) that makes learning fighting games fun, and that's just it really. I want to have fun AND learn the game! Getting destroyed by S rank players every single match (and the same people in a row mind you) isn't fun to me, and the people who push the "you have to lose over and over to succeed" mentality when pro players are the only ones playing the damn thing is just a horrible message. As a gamer, you want to see yourself improving, and if your new and you keep getting destroyed by the same pro players over and over again. It doesn't become fun and I give up on the game completely.
But you have to understand, I WANT to support this game! From the few matches I have played where me and my opponent were learning UNI2 as we went along, I had a blast! It was super fun, but finding those type of matches for me now is pretty much nonexistent. I went online yesterday on my PS5, late at night mind you, to see if anyone was online. To say that nobody was playing the game is an understatement and I'm not buying the game again on PC for $50 when I WANT to play it on my PS5...

@@Icekin23 also, nobody saying to just tough it out, if that was the only thing then that would only lead to people smashing their head against a wall. like i kinda said in the first comment, u gotta find out why you are losing and figure out a way to not lose against whatever you are having trouble against. the game itself provides a lot of help for new people, u just gotta hope the new people are willing to learn the game.

    • @binxthebinx6575

@@h0nterr584 Oh man. You do not understand this at all. How long have you been into playing UNI? You don't have to say that everything is fine when it really isn't.
Many people play and learn the game differently. That'a the part you really don't understand. I am not here to start and argument and it's not about winning matches 100 times in a row. It is the fact that new players cannot learn properly from veteran players because they will just defeat them over and over, which, in turn, pushes new players away.
New players NEED other new players to experiment and learn the game at a steady pace. That's what you don't understand. So you can talk all you want, but your mentality is killing what is left of the UNI2 fanbase. Go look at one of Lighting Hearts other videos discussing this. Literally less than 200 people are picking up this game at any given time, but the numbers don't lie. Keep that mentality going and NO ONE will ever support your game. Your definitely turning me away from UNI2 with this conversation...
