I feel a lot of its about how he approaches the music with" his ears "its such an important skill and many drummers tend to just jam out their patterns without nearly as much thought and tastefulness
I've created a monster, I introduced my nephew to prog and jazz when he was 10, now he is 20 and he suggested this. I am glad I corrupted him with good music at a such young age.
