Lucas Deconninck might enjoy watching some of Alec Steele’s videos he’s an amazing blacksmith he likes his humor but spends an enormous amount of time on every project he takes on and they all come out looking awesome definitely worth watching
Right? At the first glance on the thumbnail it looked like a thick branch and when he presented this really thin bar of steel I was a bit confused. Well done.
I think he wouldn't function very well in a large workshop, this is much better suited for people like him that only do small but good looking projects. The smaller they are, the less massive time goes into hand filing and all the other tedious work.
You mustn't compare your competence with such multi-artists as Uri. Don't be sad you aren't as good a sculptor as Rodin, and don't be sad you aren't as gifted a musician as Mozart .
When I first saw that, I thought of the Damascus steel one that Alec Steel made, where he accidentally left it in the etching liquid over night, it ended up looking like a gnarled piece of driftwood. I love the detail you put into this, it's awesome.
The mark of a true artist is to see a blank canvas and be full of wonder at all the possibilities. Get you someone that looks at you the way Uri looks at a simple piece of blank metal.
This is a work of art in it’s own category. I am extremely impressed and amazed by your ability’s as an engineer, metal worker, woodworker and as an artist. You’re an inspiration for many and I respect everything you do. Keep up the amazing work and continue to impress us all.
This man deserves so much respect. Even CZcams trolls don't post stupid mean things here. You would look ridiculous criticizing this man. I am impressed every time.
I'm left handed. Hint Hint... Your imagination meeting reality I'd a pleasure to watch. Thank you for letting us. From a left handed no kiridashi having old man in California.
This turned out quite amazing, I am inspired to make one myself. I have a few kiridashis and I love them. It's definitely in my go to blades when I work.
I am always amazed by your work. You are a builder/maker and artist, rolled into one person. A unique and powerful combination. I love that you used an oak tree for the design. Oaks are my favorite trees!
Kiridashis are one of my favorite tools . I use mine nearly everyday. You should make more of these types of videos, I really really enjoy watching them .
Really inspiring work! 10/10 on form and function. I loved the texture punch idea. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. You and The Crafsman are keeping zillions of people from going stir crazy!! Best wishes from Missouri
Uri, there are many interesting and fascinating channels of people creating interesting and fascinating things on CZcams. BUT, hands down there none that create truly one of a kind pieces like you do. The best way I can describe your work is that it’s a blend of art and craftsmanship. Thank you.
I love this man.
Doesn't have the right tool? Makes it himself.
Doesn't have the right tool to make the right tool? Makes it too.
Lucas Deconninck might enjoy watching some of Alec Steele’s videos he’s an amazing blacksmith he likes his humor but spends an enormous amount of time on every project he takes on and they all come out looking awesome definitely worth watching
what if he doesn’t have the right tool for the tool made to make the tool?
minecraft veteran
Samuel Yap make that too
As it turns out he made his whole house from scratch with the natural resources around him
The tools he makes in the middle of the video to make the tool for the video are my favorite little surprises.
Quite amazing this man is.
I love how much dimension you managed to get out of a relatively thin piece of steel!
Right? At the first glance on the thumbnail it looked like a thick branch and when he presented this really thin bar of steel I was a bit confused. Well done.
This man does all this out of an apartment. I wanna see what this guy could do with a full shop.
Meanwhile I'm over here with a 5 car and can't do anything like this...the patience is beyond me I guess.
This is a true craftsman. The old timey feel would be diminished standing next to a CNC mill. I appreciate truly hand made workmanship.
He’s in an apartment? The neighbour from hell
@@Desi-qw9fc he's been doing this for quite a while, I feel like it is one of those concrete buildings and he uses very few power tools.
I think he wouldn't function very well in a large workshop, this is much better suited for people like him that only do small but good looking projects. The smaller they are, the less massive time goes into hand filing and all the other tedious work.
I can't believe how talented uri is. The things he does seem impossible
Ikr same and I can't believe people disliked this video- currently hunting them down lol
Who would be the supreme skillmaster? My mechanics or Uri? :D
@@pistool1 the universe is gonna implode
@@pistool1 I think they should do a collab, My Mechanic restore something and uri will engrave it
Most of us have one or two skills that were good at he seems to have got lucky and gotten every skill known to mankind.
people: what is that knife for?
Uri: For carveing wood, you see, it even looks like a branch.
People: And that Shoe?
Uri: it`s a loudspeaker.
That is just beautiful
Good to see the finger tapping machine is still operational
Thanks! The FTM is still running true ¦D

@@urituchmanpigeon hi uri i was wondering if you are by any chance from israel
@@bar5600 With that name and accent?!You can stop wondering :)
As a blacksmith, it’s interesting to see someone make a knife like this without any forging and it looks amazing
Holy guacamole, our monthly dose of feeling incompetent boys! Awesome work

Thanks man, I'm just glad we get to live in the same age and get to see him work. =)

Social distancing for Uri is a breeze with his excellent hobbies.
but hell for neighbours after hours of file work sounds ;-)
@@frozenthunderbolt1 - do you not have walls over there?
Uri is an absolute wizard, and I aspire to be like him some day.
It turned out that there was a beautiful knife hidden in this cold square piece of steel. Very nice work.
Putting the knife on the wall with artisan hangers just in-the-matter-of-fact manner is reason no 7 why I like your videos.
The mark of a true artist is to see a blank canvas and be full of wonder at all the possibilities. Get you someone that looks at you the way Uri looks at a simple piece of blank metal.
I love how when making a tool, you made another tool to help make that first tool.
What if he need the first tool to make the second tool that will help with the first tool 🤔
Prettiest metal candy bar I've ever seen.

You genuinely are a multi talented artist. A craftsman in every sense of the word and it’s a pleasure watching you create every masterpiece.
Not only do you make beautiful (and useful) objects, but your videos of the process are outstanding.
One of my favorite tools you've made 🙂
Love it! One of your best and that’s really saying something!
The best word I can think of to describe your videos is "Inspiring". Watching any of them motivates me to get out in the shop and create.
This man deserves so much respect. Even CZcams trolls don't post stupid mean things here. You would look ridiculous criticizing this man. I am impressed every time.
I love it! I think it's one of my favorite things you made, which is hard since I like all of it.

You, sir, are a genius craftsman in a world of people who just buy premade stuff!!! Bravo!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It truly is a thing of beauty. Thanks for sharing, Uri.
If I had just one of your skills.. just one, I would be content. Thanks. Keep them coming.

The pattern of the oak tree is amazing and its sharpness is so satisfying when it cut the paper
אורי אתה פנינה, לא מאמין שאתה לא מפורסם. אתה מוכשר כל-כך! איפה למדת לעשות את כל הדברים האלו?
I am impressed by how much you can do with metal and simple hand tools.
Another beautiful piece of work, thank you for sharing.
The 10 people who disliked this are his jealous sworn enemies from childhood.... I assume 🤷🏻♂️
“Isn’t this the prettiest chocolate bar you’ve ever seen “ well it’s the only one you need to eat to loose all 24 teeth so , yes ?
if you only have 24 teeth left to lose you've probably snacked on that sort of candy before xD
Always wonderful to see your work. Hope you and yours are safe and thank you.
From someone who makes tools all the time, you Sir do a wonderful job
