The Italians were awarded 93.2333 for their performance that enabled to claim the Gold Medal and a pass for the Olympic Games!

Wow I'm always surprised when I see people who are just discovering this. It's one of my favorite events to watch at the Olympics
I DEFINITELY see why they won. American had the cool factor. But this was literally a BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE of synchronized swimming. Well-timed, synchronized, artistically pleasing, technically on-point.
USA was more interesting to watch no dull moments but Italy is soo clean and hence it is the core of this sport, synchronization and cleanliness and Italy was top notch.

the us choreography was so much easier and slower thats why they got lower on the difficulty score.
the acrobatics of the us team where better but thats not enough. if we talk about overall difficulty italy is much better.

After watching this, I understand why USA scored so low. The height from Italys first toss was so much higher than ours was, and the complexity of their routine 😳 wow. USA's routine was amazing, but Italys is just on a different level.

Their first toss is higher. I even surprised.
USA chose a very complex routine and they weren't well syncronised as this team. Collectively, USA wasnt as smooth as this in movements.
i agree and look how they changed alignment and places so quick. The last part says it all. The whole 0erformance is fantastic. They deserve the gold.

I just watched USA (my home country) and they were amazing. I didn't think that their score reflected how good they were. Now I get it. This Italian team is beyond amazing. Golden!

This was my dream growing up. 16 years of my life and into college. I so admire these girls’ persistence and INTENSE work ethic. There is nothing like it out there. Can’t even explain, the sport is one of a kind. Sorry could also go on forever. Still find myself like counting music 😅
My gosh, the strength, the coordination, the power they have. They make this look so easy. Just amazing.
They managed to look so fierce the whole way through and the entire performance just so neat and synchronised. Italy definitely earned it.
Well Italy truly deserved this win, they were stunning. Spain and USA were great too with amazing coreographies but technically a little bit lower, especially the USAs.

@@word42069 Well its not based on how ‘cool’ it looks, its based on the technical difficulty and precision, which the us did worse in objectively.
See this, this is why I respect Italians. Rome may have fallen yes, but their descendants are like Phoenixes when it comes to Sports and the Arts. From turmoil, from stress, they shine and keep on going.

This is definitely better than team USA. The synchronization is phenomenal! Routine is fast and complex but very synchronized. Well deserved!

Their tech routine was not as good. Low difficulty and execution scores
US was not as artistic or technically difficult, so lost points there.

I rewatched the two teams again and yes Italy deserved it...They were magnificent...although both teams are good but I like the synchronization of ITALY...they did really great...Amazing...

Their difficulty was just not on par. Its still a sport, difficulty will always be awarded higher than entertainment.
@@renming6308 the difficulty of the USA team in my opinion was higher. Their need for speed with synchronization was outstanding. Not to mention how quick their moves were at times.
Their moves are beautifully syncronized with each other. No wonder why they won. Congrats Italy! 👍
Watched the US on facebook and there were loads of people bitching and moaning about why the US didn't score higher. I did think that the American team did very well, but then I decided to see which teams did better and I can totally see why...the speed, the precision here is crazy compared to the Americans.
As Americans tbh we’re very entitled and believe we deserve everything. I am especially guilty of this.

WOW…just incredible! 😍 I can’t even imagine how the artistic swim gals do it… keeping count under water, holding your breath, staying upside down without touching the floor even once, twirling and flipping, remembering your next move, staying in sync with your team mates and emoting through appropriate facial expressions…. All this …and I assume the routines must be different for various competitions so they have to learn new routines and moves every few months! Everything is just incredible! All the artistic swimmers should be awarded medals just for qualifying! ❤️Bravo to all and especially to this Italian team… gave me goosebumps! 👍👍👍

Team USA was definitely more entertaining and fun to watch… and seemed like they had more stunts.. more technical too
I do not agree with being more technical than Italy, USA girls had more space between them and a little bit easier moves than Italians, but absolutely had an original and entertaining routine

@@noori770 if you don't have the eye to judge this sport than don't. USA routine was very unic and entertaining but you have to consider so many factors like the height of legs out of the water, the space between girls, synchronization, transitions, execution etc. So if they gave USA those scores there are many reasons.
