Veyraa Ceyrsilde Do not diddle kids it's not good diddling kids, I wouldn't do it with anybody younger than my daughter it's gotta be big older than my wife
26:31 I can just picture at the premiere of The Room after this scene Tommy Wisueu looked at the rest of the cast saying "We did 32 takes and that was the best one."
31:50 According to Greg Sestero's book, The Disaster Artist, the reason Johnny rigs up a tape recorder because Tommy Wiseau actually used that set-up (in fact, that same tape recorder) to record nearly all his conversations. Greg stated that he later found tons of tapes from the past years of all those conversations, including some of his. It's actually pretty creepy.
Apparently he did it to find out what the cast and crew were saying about him and then when they found out claimed that he was using what he recorded to make a documentary for the DVD extras.
"The Room" and The Disaster Artist book (not the movie) should definitely be consumed together. They elevate each other to another level of terrible greatness. But don't expect the same watching "The Disaster Artist" movie. If you're too lazy to read the book, still don't bother with the movie. It has too much of Tommy's influence on it (as James Franco is way too big of a fan of Tommy, and he was involved on an "unofficial approval" level, which really hinders it), where the book shows Tommy completely and absolutely from someone else's point of view. It truly makes Tommy was a man and the story of "The Room" have all four walls and a ceiling...but still no floor to stand on. Funny note; recording anyone without their knowledge or permission was and still is a crime in the state of California. It's amazing no one sued him, considering they knew he had "money", and would have made much more than Tommy would have paid them for working on the movie. Hollywood...the world's amusement park where more people sneer than smile.
5:40 - in The Disaster Artist, a book by Greg Sestero who played Mark which chronicles his relationship with Tommy Wisau and the time he spent on the set of The Room, he writes the reason Denny picks up an apple and longingly eats it is because, according to Tommy, it is a "veeeery sexual symbol".
@@bastih.5264 Jay says it first which makes OOC crack up and try to repeat the line but he can barely get the words out because he's laughing so much. At least that's what it sounds like to me - it could be Jay both times, I've been wrong before.
Tommy also credits Chloe Leitzke and Drew Caffrey as members of the crew. Chloe Leitzke is kind of like Tommy's grandma and had nothing to do with the film and Drew Caffrey was dead years before the concept of The Room even existed.

This movie is clearly Tommy's version of a relationship that happened to him. And every scene is designed to make him look like a good guy. So I'm willing to bet he really did hit her.
I can not stop watching this review....I have watched it fully at least 6 times in just the 3 days it has been out....I fucking love V1's absolute perplexity during this whole review...Also,you can definitely tell by his voice that you guys have new audio equipment
11:51 - I agree with Mr. OOC on this. I do think there was supposed to be a passage of time. Mark is wearing a completely different shirt from when he's in his car.
Saw this for the first time on the last night of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a few years ago in a pack cinema having never heard of it before. To this day it's legit my favourite cinema experience that I've ever had, it was like a rowdy football crowd only they were throwing abuse (and plastic spoons) at the screen! If anyone who read this gets the chance to experience The Room in one of those special screenings, ABSOLUTELY DO IT!
"I slept with another guy..." "Who did you sleep with?" "I don't wanna talk about it.." "Then why'd you bring it up?" That made me laugh so damn hard!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Claudette doesn't in the final scene tell Lisa to not throw her life away by marrying Johnny. She says she is throwing her life away by not marrying Johnny. That scene in particular reveals she really doesn't care about any emotion or love, only money. Honestly one of the more subtle and well-thought-out developments in the movie in my opinion.
You guys should totally read Greg Sestero's Book My life inside the Room. It explains everything about his relationship with tommy wiseau before, during and After the film.. It is Completely MENTAL!!
Tommy’s understanding of drugs and their effect is like what anyone who has never actually experienced it like cops talk about drugs like lol i love this :D
"I slept with another guy..." "Who'd you sleep with?""I don't wanna talk about it...""Then why'd you bring it up?" Rofl! That made laugh SOOOO hard the first time I heard that.
34:57 "I'm cheating with my best friend's wife and you called her a sociopath? Right I'm throwing you off the roof" was Mark's thinking there apparently.
I'm 51 years old and for my whole life I hardly ever laugh nor smile because I'm a hard headed person and take most things serous, but these two guys make me laugh like I have ever laugh in my whole life. 😆
Interesting side note: that scene at 43:08 in which Tommy is waving to someone. He's actually waving to the camera crew to let them know he's ready to say his line. If you watch him in the background beforehand, you can see him waiting for his cue to walk to his mark.
05:03 might i suggest that you try fitting danny into this movie as a dog instead of as a person... see... makes more sense now, doesn't it? being taken cared of, provided for, no family ties except to johnny and lisa, free to join them on the bed, free to say he loves them both casually, ask if he could kiss lisa casually, doesn't get johnny upset when he expressed his love for lisa... i know, right. mindblown!!!
perhaps a metaphor of an event when the pet didn't know any better, lured by a stranger perhaps or almost got hit by a car, endangering itself. an event that actually brought tommy and everyone closer as they set aside their differences. because, tho the relationship between tommy and lisa along with his best friend may grow deceitful. treacherous, one thing remain in common: they all care for the pet. sorry, i mean danny.
If you ever, EVER, get the chance to attend a live screening with Tommie and Greg like I did in London, you do it. One of the most wild and fun experiences I've ever had.

Wow... What incredible storytelling.
Applying wrestling terminology like “heel” and “face turn” to movies needs to become a general thing.

i dont blame you i was too distracted by the acting to notice either.

Better than the old WWF arena green screens haha

26:08 The way OOC struggles to say, "Only the innocent," through his laughter is priceless.

It sounds even better, Especially when Steve talks
At 09:56 when OOC and V1 give out about Johnny being in bed all day and complaining about having to get up at that time, I nearly died from laughter.
Lisa is wearing an all red dress. Steve! What bar is Lisa?
She's a twizzler and a Swedish fish.
She is an Red Apple.
+mariopikaman1 She's a bottle of Heinz Ketchup.
Lisa is a used tampon
+Kyle Murie She is a kitkat chunky and Lisa is an Arsenal football jersey!
11:51 - I agree with Mr. OOC on this. I do think there was supposed to be a passage of time. Mark is wearing a completely different shirt from when he's in his car.
41:16 Even funnier is the fact that his last words in the film were "I'm done" which was probably the actor speaking out of character.
42:15: "Hey look at that. Look at the state of it..."
LMFAO!!
This is STILL my favorite quote from the whole of the OSW.
It's too bad the guy playing Peter had to leave the production, because he was arguably one of the best actors in this.
I don’t think it’s very arguable lol, he was a shining star in a shit gumbo.
This is nearly the 20th time I have listened to this review while playing games. Never gets old.
"Belly buttons were penetrated" I spit my water at that comment. Amazing
Lisa cheated cause he kept humping her torso. Dont blame her, she got needs 😂

The movie pretty much says that Claudette is a gold digger who only married Lisa's father for his money. She also implies that Lisa was an accident.
