- Curious about the 2024 #GrandHighlander Limited? Watch this video for the real owner's thoughts on this new Toyota SUV model! These are some pros that I have found work out for my family and I.
Thank you for watching!
@AviatorsGarage
Picked up my car in April. Still waiting on second key fob
Me too. Thank you for the information!
We have a 2024 Highlander Platinum. It's got everything we need. Love the captain's chairs. We chose the front wheel drive version. Don't need AWD here in Florida.
@@accord50 thank you for sharing! Is the recall affecting your GH?
@@AviatorsGarage So far so good. But we did have a problem the first month of ownership. In fact, in was in service for almost week. We had two warning lights stay on. One was the check engine light and the other was a message that read Advanced Ultrasonic Detecting and ranging system. I took almost a week to figure out how to fix it. The mechanic claimed the car was so new that they had to contact Toyota to figure out how to fix it.
Looks like the rubber liner you installed is holding up well. Seems like it was a good purchase.
So far so good. How are you Dan the Man?
@@AviatorsGarage Doing good. I'm working on my special issuance and studying for my private license. Fingers crossed! Glad to see your channel is growing!
Excited to hear the real owner's take on the 2024 Grand Highlander! We sent you an email, take a look.
I sent you one back!
I test drove gh, I actually liked the engine, when i stepped down the gas, it went, very linear, only thing that turned me off was how soft the brake felt, i felt like i couldn't stop many times.
It takes a second to get use to for sure.
Hello, you are correct John, I bought my grand highlander a month ago and Toyota only gave me 1 key fob for now. The phone acts as a key fob but for only a limited time. After that, we will have to pay a subscription fee.
Gotcha. Thank you for the heads up and confirmation. I appreciate it! I’m going to research and find out when we get our second key FOB
It took 6 months to get mine.
For folks who may wait for a car to come in, you need to know those hatch lights, panoramic sunroof, (and a 360 view monitor) are options, , not standard, on a limited.
@@elliott3991 I believe the sunroof is for (limited) I’ll look into it.
I did consider the GH. I do like how it is bigger for sure. But compare to the new Atlas and Traverse, I find the seats are more harder than both of those vehicles. I will say though, HybridMax feel fast though
Thanks for the input!
I ordered one on the 20th . Now it’s the waiting game
Ya unfortunately there isn’t a fix yet. Hopefully they figure it out soon.
Why would you order a vehicle with active safety problems where the production is stopped... kinda weird
4wd models turn off safety features so they don’t beep when you’re off-road
Good to know
Did you get yours from Butler, Keith Pearson, Arlington or Coggins? I ordered one at Coggins which had the lowest price. Just $700 over msrp, plus taxa and title. All the others added several thousand markup for practically nothing, nitrogen in tires, 3-4 oil changes, and pin striping lol
I got it at beaver in St. Augustine. The took the addendum off and went about 1,500$ below MSRP. Talk to Pheaon, he got me the deal.
Man, i’m in AZ and all i keep looking at in new vehicles is ventilated seats and remote start. We are between this and a Landcruiser. I think Toyota may have made our mind for us lately though…
I’m not sure you can buy one until the recall is fixed. I’m think the Land Cruiser is available just be aware it’s the 1st year of the new generation and it may have issues as well. Thank you for the comment!
@@AviatorsGarage yeah, that’s why we’re most likely going the Landcruiser route. Wife and i used to do a lot of off-roading/camping in a 2000 4Runner i just sold and now we have a 2.5 year old and a dog. Need more room, power, creature comforts so we can do those things as a family. Also the 4cyl hybrid max has kinda been around a while already in other vehicles as well as commercial vehicles in Japan.
235ibs on a good day, so on a bad day that equates to what ? Good detailed review
@@papaagidi2838 lol. No comment! Thank you for watching. I appreciate it!

I made a video- Critical Update: Toyota Grandhighlander Recall Notice

I don't go through car washes anymore. They do a lot of damage to the paint.
That would be a bad idea on a motorcycle lol.
@@AviatorsGarage most definitely. lol
Toyota mini van looks cheap very low to the ground 😊
@@beeslandscaping the price is definitely cheaper
2024 GH … under the hood turbo engine get too much heat … 🔥 🔥… it’s big suv… but turbo engine it’s👎👎👎…I did sold it after 4 month. 👎👎👎
I can’t say you’re wrong, the new tundras have a ton of issues with the V6 twin turbo. Only time will tell. Hope you didn’t lose a ton of equity!
Americans and their turbo phobia lol 😂 living in Japan for 11 years turbos have been around for a looooooong time. Nothing new. The 4t drives way better than any v6
There are issues with the tundra v6 turbo. They are built in the states. Something wrong with the production line
@@AviatorsGarageTrue but it’s not because of the turbo.
@@rustynail7866 I’m just talking about what engine. Not say it it was the turbo- but they did have issues with the turbo in the tundra.
Cheap looking car for 50000 dollars. Hell no
@@mbenton6 actually $37,000
@@AviatorsGarage no with the markups. It stills cheap for 35,000 dollars
@@mbenton6 actually 25,000
