  • Navigating the car market today can be overwhelming due to fluctuating inventory levels and unpredictable pricing. Consumers are less inclined to pay the high prices that dealers were previously able to command. Yet, the impact of these changes isn't uniform across all vehicle types. This is partly because some car manufacturers overestimated the demand for certain cars and SUVs, leading to a surplus at dealerships. At the same time, some models are struggling to find buyers at all, exacerbating the issue. In this landscape, being informed is crucial. A key piece of information is the Market Day Supply, which estimates how long it would take to sell every car of a specific model at the current sales pace. Using CarEdge Data, we've pinpointed the new cars that have been languishing on dealership lots the longest.

Tell the actual truth that Dodge dealers are putting insane mark ups on Chargers, Challengers, and pickups. No one wants to pay 10-20k over sticker.

Trucks in general to purchase has become like a mortgage payment

  • @joejohnston2035

$100 k for a decently equipped 1/2 ton truck is just plain stupid

Time to go to these dealers and do what they did to us, the consumers, during the pandemic. They wanted an extra $10-$30K over the sticker price, then, now we want a $10-$30K off the sticker price to even consider these vehicles.

    So over-priced cars aren’t selling? That’s not a suprise

  • @michaelquinn8618

Payments for new cars are 1,000 a month that’s crazy

  • @clevelandcarlson5743

The demise of Dodge brought to you by STELLANTIS .....

  • @bobertjones2300

Ram 2500/3500 is unnecessarily luxurious/expensive for it's primary buyers: Tradesmen and haulers.

A new Tundra payment (sr5 4wd) is more than my mortgage

I am not a young person. But I was always told in my youth, if you have to borrow money to buy a vehicle, you cant afford it. I save up, buy a good used vehicle that is cheap to insure and maintain with low mileage. I am not trying to impress anyone with how much debt I carry.

I can afford a new truck and a new car, but I drive a beautiful 04 Excursion and a fantastic 05 Lexus LS430. I've always bought beautiful low mileage high end cars and trucks after they've depreciated. Left my money in investments to make more money.

Chrysler intentionally stockpiled the 300, Charger and Challenger to tide them over until the new model's production is ramped up. They blew it with the Hornet though, it's way too expensive for what you get especially given their reputation.

Prices are too high for all vehicles now. Last vehicle I bought was all most $30,000 in 2016, can't afford another now, in retirement.

  • @benhaze1010

Jaguar just announced they are dropping their entire product line, stopped production and will focused only on +$100k vehicles so good luck with your stock Jag dealers.

  • @jdlutz1965

Stellantis is KILLING it here, poor sales related to high prices!

  • @m.hughes2521

The thing they don't tell you about electric cars is that they also have a substantial carbon footprint. WTF?

I would hate to be a Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer!!!

  • @fleuger99

The reason vehicles like the RAMS and other domestic products are that the manufacturers have decided to mostly build their top models to maximize their profits which are very expensive and most people cannot afford. Hence inventories are high. Jeep has done the same with their Wagoneer and Grand Cherokee models.

  • @Michael_Livingstone

For me any Stellantis vehicles don’t come across as reliable or high quality. Basically like any Italian car.
