      Over 20 countries have now changed how they administer the vaccine by adding aspiration due to blood clots, heart attacks and strokes due to if the vaccine is injected into a blood vessel instead of the muscle the spike proteins replicate and attach to blood vessel walls and platelets then attach causing blood and heart disorders!!!

    This was a well presented documentation of the process of administering the vaccine including steps prior to administration, the administration of the vaccine, and adverse reactions with time frames to be on the alert for. There is a misconception in the health care field that you pinch the skin of the deltoid when administering the vaccine. Thank you for showing the technique of pulling the skin taught. Another less documented step you also showed was that pulling back on the plunger prior to injection is not necessary. Well Done!

      @flyinglpranch3886 Před 3 lety +1

      The "Deltoid Safe Injection Site" provides a location that has a "low probability" of hitting a blood vessel, but not a zero probability. Further, in watching this video, I saw only one person who appeared [to me] to actually be "checking landmarks" properly; most seemed [to me] to be "eyeballing" it. Under those circumstances, you can bet that I want someone who takes those extra few seconds to aspirate the syringe, id est, "pull back on the plunger" as it were!

Why has that changed now with the covid vaccine? Every time I give an IM injection I aspirate because there has been a few times I have seen blood come back. Its rare but it happens. I felt like I should have stayed quiet instead of telling the pharmacy assistant at the last second (when it first occurred to me consciously) that she was on the wrong arm. It was an unorthodox setup with the pharmacist asking patients which arm they prefer and then relaying that (along with all of the the intake information) to the person giving the shot.
    So I have no way of knowing now whether or not I even received the second Moderna shot because it seemed like the assistant yanked out the needle instantly. I assured her that all actually I cared about was increasing my immunity no matter which arm was used. I accidentally put her in the awkward situation of having to keep things simple and decide whether sticking me twice would be worth her having to document since the mix-up which feels mostly like my own mistake. As far as I'm concerned, the person asking which arm to use needs to be the same person who is giving the shot like every other shot I have ever received.
    Now I'm nervous just hearing open sneezing in these suddenly mask-free public settings (having heard zero sneezes anywhere in almost one and-a-half years). I'm wondering how many parts of the world achieved this level of sneeze control which I'm sort of already missing.
