The SARS-Cov-2 virus which causes COVID-19 uses a specialized glycoprotein or sugar based protein on its surface to bind to a special locked entrance on the surface of the cell it targets. The virus targets the *Type-2* *Alveolar* *Cells* in the lungs. The Type-2 Alveolar cells are responsible for primarily 3 things *(1)* - Producing surfactant which lubricates the lung tissue to prevent it from sticking together when you exhale thus leading to lung collapse. This is why you need a ventilator in worse cases because ventilators force air into collapsed but not perforated lungs. *(2)* - Protect the type-1 alveolar cells which carry oxygen from your lungs to your blood *(3)* type-2 alveolar cells become type-1 cells if needed. The SARS-Cov-2 virus uses its *S-Spike* glycoprotein to bind to the ACE2 receptor on the surface of the type-2 alveolar cells in the lungs. Once inside, the virus releases its mRNA to the ribosomes in the cells. The ribosomes takes the mRNA instructions and uses it to pull together the amino acids to create the parts of the virus. Those parts are assembled and then the virus buds out of the cell to go and infect other cells. *The* *vaccine* causes your cells to produce a version of the S-Spike that is similar to the one on the surface of the virus. The S-Spike becomes the thing that triggers the immune response. When the body responds to a viral invasion the first thing it does is determine specifically what the invader is. Then your *B-Lymphocytes* produce *Antibodies* Antibodies typically don't eradicate viruses. In some cases they do but not typically. There's *Contracting* a virus and then there is *Infection* from a virus. Contraction is the virus being in your body. Infection is the virus entering the cell to replicate itself. The antibodies stick to the outside of the S-Spike which would normally be on the virus. The antibodies tell your cells not to let the virus bind and enter. This is how the body stems the *INFECTION* part only. You can still contract the virus, but you can't become infected by it with antibodies stuck to them. Ultimately the body later produces *Killer* *T-cells.* Killer T-cells actually eradicate viruses. You see the antibodies don't just scream to your cells to not let the virus in, it also lazes the target so to speak for the killer T-cells. What do you think the killer t-cells will do when it encounters your cells throughout your body which have these spikes budding from them? the T-cells will interpret them as invaders and attack them. When Killer T-cells or any other immune cell mis-interprets and attacks the body's own cells, this is called *Auto-Immune* *Disorder.* It is literally a malfunction of the detection process used by the immune system where the body's own cells are seen as invaders and treated accordingly.

Student nurse here! We inject air into the vials because it creates pressure, so when we flip the vial to suck up all the medicine into the syringe it goes in much easier. It helps ensure that all of the medication is taken up into the syringe out of the vial. Say the vial has 2mL of fluid, we will suck up 2mL of air into the syringe and then push that into the vial, keep the plunger down and pull the needle into the liquid, and the pressure now helps push all of the liquid into the syringe :) hope this helped!

Hi . l am Dr .Yasser from Iraq . I have a science , may be it's relating with COVID 19 . How can I introduce it ?
Me at the day to get the first vaccine of covid:
OH SH**
It is like a big ceremony she didn't even shake it before injecting it then clapping after like it was the cure to it.
Damn why the needle so big
If you watch she uses the really long needle to draw up the vaccine into the vial, then switches to a shorter, thinner needle for the injection
@@aryanson Please tell me, is this true, that the actual Vaccine needles that one receives the shots from, are short and thin - like the needles we use now to draw blood, where one "barely feels a pinch"?
@@ivorytower99 In many of the news stories were they are showing people being vaccinated, the needles being used mostly appear to be 21, or 22 gauge some 20 gauge, (you can tell by the color of the hub, yellow, 20 gauge, gray, 21 gauge, blue, 22 gauge, orange, 25 gauge), and 1 1/2 or 2 inches long, :Pretty standard for vaccines given as deep intramuscular injections.
@@aryanson I don't have any great medical knowledge, so thank you for this info.
However, I do know that needles have become thinner and thinner over the years.
I do not know if you yourself have had the vaccine... So I wanted to ask you, if you have in fact, had the vaccine: did it hurt (the needle)?
It rlly isn’t it looks like the same size of a flu vaccine needle tbh, i’ve gotten a tetanus shot which has a massive needle so i’m not scared
Genocide
give. me that liquid i will drink it. but no needle plz 😵💫
That’s a lot of paparazzi!
This wrong method we should not pinch skin up...
i don't now whay me 3 day very pen un vaccine 19 me 18/9/2021??me 3 day problem very strong
YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO SQUEEZE THE AREA OF INJECTIOB
When I had a shot before they did that wdym?
@@lukesimino8908 The injection must go to your deltoids, not in your skin area. that is why the injector must not squeeze the skin.
No shit sherlock

You messed up
Son, never in my life have I been more appalled at any comment. Your comment has given me an aneurysm, a stroke, and a heart attack all at the same time. And how, you ask? Well, let me give you an intense description of your stupidity. It’s, “have”, you idiot. Have. A simple word. And you forgot it. This simple error has caused many people to fall. Jesus. You embarrass me. And to add it all up, you have forgotten a period. Shame on you.
@@lingdizhang308 who are u a federal agent or something shut up
I got my first dose today and it really wasn’t bad. It felt like a tiny prick, although I got really scared and basically started hyperventilating, my parents had to hold me in my chair.
U messed up big time
Lol
Please have proper grammar. "You messed up big time."
Its You and theres a period, bud
Jonathan! Are you stupid? What is wrong with you. You have replaced the word “you” with U? And to top it off, you forget a diddly darn period? Jesus. Such an embarrassment.
Hehehhhh def never taking dis needle
Lilly sorry to disappoint but hehehhh isnt correct its hehehe ok. Also its definitely. But wheres the period, also dis isnt a word its this, ok.
Lilly? Can I ask you a question? Have you ever been to Earth?
On Earth, we use the word “grammar” to describe the correct usage of words. Pretty simple stuff right?
“OhOh, bUt I dO KnOw gRamMar!” Well, guess what? No, you don’t. Let me teach you what grammar is. Grammar is not “Hehehhhh.” That is not grammar. Not even close, Lilly. Guess what? Replacing the word “definitely” with def is not grammar! Woah! And guess what again? “Dis” is not a good substitute for “this”! You also forgot to put a period. Do you know what a period is? A period, in fact, is a thing we use for punctuation! You put it at the end of a sentence. Now that you know what grammar is, you can go on a delete this comment because my heart burns with a lifelong hatred for you because reading your sentence have me several strokes and aneurysms.
Aww snap!

And I’t doesn’t hurt and I got P-fizer
Why is she injecting air into the vial? It’s creating positive pressure. Lol
That’s the point
Student nurse here! We inject air into the vials because it creates pressure, so when we flip the vial to suck up all the medicine into the syringe it goes in much easier. It helps ensure that all of the medication is taken up into the syringe out of the vial. Say the vial has 2mL of fluid, we will suck up 2mL of air into the syringe and then push that into the vial, keep the plunger down and pull the needle into the liquid, and the pressure now helps push all of the liquid into the syringe :) hope this helped!
no it is not the best method to control covd 19

We still have to wear mask after shot then no shot for me it’s stupid
Wrong mindset. We have to wear a mask until enough people get vaccinated so we can reach herd immunity. So get the vaccine, social distance, and maybe we will get out of this damn pandemic together.

It seems so wildly impossible to imagine that the people still willfully in a comatose state after a year of this insanity... will ever wake up.

Sometimes I'm certain it's all a mass awakening happening at turtle-speed, and all is perfect; divine timing.
