- Detective Murphy admits the confession was NOT recorded. In a real investigation, it SHOULD be recorded.
It is crucial that any confession or statement from a suspect be properly recorded to ensure transparency and accountability. The failure to record a confession undermines the reliability of the evidence and opens the door to potential coercion, manipulation, or misinterpretation of the suspect's words. Without a recording, there is no objective record of what was said, leaving the investigation vulnerable to disputes and challenges.
It is a widely accepted best practice in law enforcement to record all interviews and interrogations, as it protects both the suspect and the investigators.
The absence of a recording in this case is yet another glaring oversight that further embeds the lack of legitimacy and credibility of the case.

That's insane. What a case and no recording.....
If this had been a real case, they would have videotaped it. His only conviction is in Ohio. Milwaukee was theater.

He is admitting that the 60 hour ‘confession’ was not recorded. You can request information on other cases that you’re interested in by way of FOIA requests to the relevant authorities.

An FOIA request is when someone makes a request to the relevant authority under the Freedom of Information Act, for release of information. That is what they have been doing on the sub.

Absolutely. This was heavily discussed a few days ago on the group too, have a look. They even AI photo dated the media pic depicted as Jeff. It was taken between 1985-89. There’s previous posts where they found a public address listing & tel for Jesse Anderson in late 1993, when he was supposed to be incarcerated since 1992. He’s not listed in the SSDI either. Scarver’s prison transfer record doesn’t match the narrative either, he wasn’t transferred to a supermax until years later for instance. Check the sub, its all in there.
@@softdream5908 That was heavily discussed just the other day - see the sub. AI photo dating & comparisons showed that picture was dated 1985-1989 with 95% confidence. Also, it would be in breach of WI statute 165.81 disposal of evidence to release that photograph whilst the prisoner (Scarver) is still serving their term. The source of that photograph was also found & is highly questionable. Have a read of the post & comments - there were some extremely good observations about that photograph in general.
Have a read of the post I mentioned. Its all explained in there. Remember it is a breach of the law as mentioned before to release such evidence for a start.
@@softdream5908 Yes, it looks like him. But the teeth are different.
In his IE interview, it is clearly visible that he has a gap between the front upper teeth and a small occlusion (the upper teeth are tilted slightly inward).
In the photo there is no gap and the teeth are straight.
And they AI photo dated that picture to 1985-1989. There’s also some really interesting observations in the post about it, about that scene in general.
