Nice! I love Bathgate. Unfortunately, there are no ethnic hair braiding salon in the vicinity. If you connect with other Africans, you may come across someone who braids at home. I braid mine by myself and have only been to a salon in Glasgow to braid my hair once in the 6 years plus that we have been living here.
It's possible but Livingston is quite a distance from Glasgow and it can be quite expensive making daily trips. I was living in Livingston when I was a student at the University of Strathclyde Glasgow but only because my husband worked in Edinburgh. The slow train can take as long as 40 minutes + to get to Glasgow Queen Street train station. I couldn't wait to finish up from uni because I found the journey tiring and expensive. Also, if you do not drive meaning you need to take a bus from your house to Livingston train station, that can be challenging.

Can i stay in any of the towns you have stated whilst i work in Edinbrugh? I will be moving to Edibrugh soon as a care assistant and have been checking rental costs in Edinbrugh and they are a bit pricey so i am considering of a place with cheaper rentals
Sure, especially Broxburn and Livingston no matter if by driving or by public transportation. A lot of people working in Edinburgh do not live in Edinburgh.

Ok. Unfortunately, you need to be in the country and employed for landlords to accept your application. You need to show that you can pay for an accommodation by means of showing proof of employment in order to secure a place. Otherwise, they will keep asking for a guarantor.
