    Great stuff dude! I'd love to see a how-to on how the foam staining process works

      The video where I paint my R2D2 board I talk a little about it, but I was actually just thinking I should do a video about foam stains. Problem is acrylic paint is still hard to find around here, especially in fun colours. When I can find some I'll make as video about it!

      Good stuff mate. Very well explained. The only small extra piece of advice I’d give everyone is to make sure you load the paper in the printer tray the correct way to print onto the rice paper. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this and printed on the wrong side 😅

      @@Shrednaught Thanks! I was going to add that but ended up editing it out where I wasn't sure all printers loaded the paper the same way. I printed a couple extra after I filmed and sure enough I printed one on the wrong side too hahaha

      Glad it was helpful. Just make sure you do a small test before you use it on a project. Some inks and resins don't mix well and will bleed.

    Hi there, I would like to know if you can share, how do you solve printing in White for a black board, for example!! Hope you can help me on this one 🤙🏼

    • @WaveWasters
      @WaveWasters  Před rokem

      I've never used them on a black board. However you could create a silk screen and print white ink on rice paper/board or look at a printer service like boardlams and have them professionally printed. Another option is use white paint pens and draw your design on. Then clear coat over it with acrylic, which I have done in the past and works well.

    Hi man, I have a question. I printed my logo on a laser printer but when I put resin on top of it some of the ink comes out and I spread it all over the board. Do you know why?

    • @WaveWasters
      @WaveWasters  Před rokem

      Most likely the resin you are using is not compatible with the laser printer ink, you could try an inkjet printer. Some resins just don't play nice with some inks. I have had good luck with west systems epoxy and entropy epoxy with the laser printers I have used. However anytime I use a different printer, resin or paper I always do a few small test samples to make sure it doesn't bleed and to make sure everything is compatible, before I use it on a project. Its a good habit to get into when trying new any new materials as well before using them on a full projects.

    awesome, what printer would you recommend for a colored logo? cheers

    • @WaveWasters
      @WaveWasters  Před 2 lety

      If you have access to a color laser printer that would be best if the ink doesn't run. If your logo has white in it you want a printer that will print white, other wise it will go clear.

      @@WaveWasters How is you printed logo doing? not sure but some people say if its printed on inkjet printer it will fade really fast
      compared to a laser printer. cheers

    • @WaveWasters
      @WaveWasters  Před 2 lety

      @@6to6surf4 I've only used the laser ones in projects and they are still holding up. They look as good as the day they were printed. Inkjet will most likely fade, how fast depends on the ink. A good way to test would be to print something and put it in a sunny window for a couple weeks/months. Then check in on it every now and then.

    Could you do these on soccer balls?

    • @WaveWasters
      @WaveWasters  Před 2 lety +1

      Probably not the resin would make the ball hard. You would be better off making a silk screen or using sublimation ink. Could probably find somewhere to get them custom printed with logos. Another option might be a stencil and a sharpie.
