How to replace the headliner and visors in a 1998 - 2012 Ford Ranger. We took a trip to the salvage yard and found a donor Ranger XLT we took the visors and headliners from. We then went back to the yard, painted the tan with duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint to match our existing grey interior and then installed the new headliner and visors. I hope you enjoy!

Mine is a 94, so apparently the extra 4 years took its toll on the clips, they all broke. So much for using Snap-On tools to do the job right!

Great tutorial! I’ve got a ‘99 Ranger XL project truck that I’m wanting to install a grab handle to on the passenger side. To my knowledge, there’s most likely already pre cut holes there. Do you know how the handle is mounted on there? Thanks!

Can you sand off the foam from the old headliner fabric? What grit and what kind of sander should I use?

Yes you can but I use a wire wheel when I do it just gotta be carful

Did you have to bend it putting it in and taking out because I can't get mine out and idk if I should bend it
Yes I did, just slightly though. I was nervous to bend it as well. But yes, I did. But I didn't go overboard and just slightly curved it, trying not to put any deep bends in it. It worked. Thanks!
You didnt have to remove the other half of the seatbelt molding on both sides i noticed.

A socket huh? just any socket? If anyone wants to know the socket that's needed is a 6mm

what size socket does the handles take?
6mm I believe.
6mm works but 5.5mm is a better fit. On my '00 the bolts were torqued down so much the 6mm was rounding the heads.
I'm surprised no one has ask ...... how is the paint holding on the headliner ???
