How to Make a COUNTER TOP out of SALVAGED WOOD || Making a Live Edge Slab Counter Top

  • Making live edge slab counter tops is a request we get often here at Makers Workshop; because we work primarily with salvaged lumber that starts as slabs. I wanted to take the opportunity to show the process of making a slab counter top start to finish because it's easy not to realize that even though it looks like a tree was just sliced and plopped into place... it wasn't. To make a durable finished product takes just as much work as a dimensioned piece of wood does.

    Looks great. Do you find the large CNC lets you work with pieces larger than would be easily worked in a typical shop?

      Absolutely. It makes tackling larger heavy slabs a lot less intimidating
