How to Make a COUNTER TOP out of SALVAGED WOOD || Making a Live Edge Slab Counter Top

- Making live edge slab counter tops is a request we get often here at Makers Workshop; because we work primarily with salvaged lumber that starts as slabs. I wanted to take the opportunity to show the process of making a slab counter top start to finish because it's easy not to realize that even though it looks like a tree was just sliced and plopped into place... it wasn't. To make a durable finished product takes just as much work as a dimensioned piece of wood does.
Enjoy the process :)

It looks gorgeous!!
That came out great, super cool seeing it start out from a tree!
Nice work!
Thanks!
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing!
You’re very welcome. Thanks for watching!
Looks great. Do you find the large CNC lets you work with pieces larger than would be easily worked in a typical shop?
Absolutely. It makes tackling larger heavy slabs a lot less intimidating
