Hey I’m from France let me give you brief history about the French tacos this sandwich is invented in Lyon by Algerian community as you noticed very famous sandwich in France o tacos is a commercial brand in Lyon you can definitely find more artisanal versions of this sandwich as someone who is originated from Middle East I feel like this sandwich is missing something maybe pickles.. a mix between doner kebab Mexican burrito and croque monsieur anyway it is decent eat and a good alternative to McDonald’s and yes the name is very confusing keep up the great reviews 😁

There's a few places in London that have French taco outlets, I believe there's one in Vauxhall and another on Harrow Road. Check em out!

Best one I ate is in Lyon, in this place called "La Marinade". There's a big line and you'll probably wait 1h to get your food but it's very tasty

FAKE TACOS.
The Mexican government must take action on the matter and patent the word taco, Europeans who want to sell tacos have to adhere to the Mexican norm and if they do not do so they could be sued in the international court in The Hague, because they are using the word cue for business purposes only.

Matt, this looks dreadful and doesn't do the French tacos (yes, pronounced 'tackoss') justice.
I thought the tortilla wrap had gone soggy before realising it had melted cheese on it. A French tacos is not supposed to be covered in cheese on the outside. Never in all my years seen it but hey I guess this is a chain and a tourist trap. Like going to Bagel Nash for a bagel I suppose.
Also they're typically wrapped and toasted in foil in the press and then served in the foil. The French take their food seriously so even the fast food is generally quite good.
That's why you need to go to a 'sandwicherie' takeaway shop in a French suburb as they'll make you a tacos the proper way and with the 'traditional' fillings. Can't go wrong with simple chicken brochette, cordon bleu or steak haché, but try it with merguez sausage which is a popular filling - speaking of which: make sure you get some merguez whilst you're in France! Again, a sandwicherie in a suburb will dish you up something far more authentic than any tourist trap.
Enjoy your travels and hats off for the video content!

Good algerian tacos have chips, chopped up burger meat, onions, tomato's, cheese sauce and algerian sauce. Never get one without algerian sauce.
