I never noticed it until just now, but you can really see how innocent Miklo was in the beginning of the movie, always smiling, but toward the end, he always had a more sinister and emotionless face.
Milko Was The Little Brother Who Wanted His Older Brothers Acceptance That Was Me As A Teen “Like Juanito With Cruzito” Now My Mom Tells Me You And Your Brother Are The Same Your Brother Said The Same Thing Last Week
Rewatching this made me realize just how great this movie is. From the acting, the dialogue, the story, everything. This movie doesn’t get its due. But it may be my favorite movie of all time. Every act is just great. I believe every one of these actors.
@@mbdulka I’m of course biased because while I’m white, I grew up in and around Mexican families. So naturally I pretended I was Mexican for a few years back in the day lol. And of course there were gangs in the part of Chicago that I grew up in. Mexican gangs. So it all lined up perfectly. Aside from some of the random corny lines in the movie, everything else is just chefs kiss perfect. Love watching it. And luckily, CZcams seems to basically have the entire movie for free broken up into like 20 videos. So I just click on random sections from time to time.
LOL at how Mano shut those two fools down in a second with just one look. Didn't even have to say anything. Then he told Paco what the score was. Great Hispanic father right there.
Notice how Miklo walks away and Cruz says to 🤫 when paco starts talking back to Mano. They knew that marine discipline was about to come out so they stepped out the way.
I was around 10 years old when this movie came out. Even though my family is from Peru, my Mexican friends call me the most “Mexican Peruvian” they’ve ever met. Orale 😎
Well if you live in LA, even though Peruvian, it`s obvious you would blend in with the dominant culture. Peruvians also share common things with the rest of Latin Americans. We are all brothers.

@@STEALTH1USA Popocatepetl is definetly a volcano in Mexico, but there is a story behind the volcano. Its alot to write down but the story is called “Popocatepetl y Iztaccihuatl”. It kinda describes how the volcanoes came to be. There is a famous painting and thats what Cruz is painting here.
Goes to show what a good script, good directing, and a decent budget can do. Miklo does great in this film… but have you seen some of his other films? No bueno.
What if they did this movie 30 years later same cast as the original and show where everyone from the Pinta and Varrio ended up.. could be an interesting tale if done right 🤷♂️
