That is a great tip about holding your body upside down after paint thank you

I've painted full size cars for many years but never thought about hanging a model car body upside down to paint it.
Great idea and good looking build.
FF, Glad we could help! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
I had one of those back in 79, was a fun little car. Your build looks good Doug.

If you were driving this car and you got hit in the back the car would blow up .
Great work as always.
SOOO KOOOOOLLLL.
Mike Espo .
ME, Well, there were some problems with the design! -Doug
Just a little, ha
Mike .
Nice build. Engine looked well done and the body paint is nice. I like the tip about keeping the body upside down to avoid dust. Modifying the front end for the custom look took some skill and creativity. Thanks
PJ, Right on dude! -Doug
Doug, nice build, as always. The Pinto bomb was an interesting car, the poor man's mustang. Nice thing about the model is that if you tap it in the rear, it won't burst into flames! Keep up the great work.
SM, That's true, but with this custom version - it's on fire! Thanks. -Doug
Ford Pinto..!
Was my dream car when I was a kid.. but my first car was Fiat..
Great model Doug.. and so glad to be with your great intro..! million thanks for sharing..
RK, You and me both, thanks!

DJB, Thanks man! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Love the Coke builds, I might have gone through the parts box and put a 302 in it, but thats the beauty of building models. Now that I've seen the review, I know what is possible for me. Thanks.
TE, You've got that right and maybe there's another Coke build in your future! -Doug
Thanks it helps am building the the k w w900 that the use on the show keep good work up
JO, Glad to help. Previuosly, viewer Ggcoup said it was both a '73 & a '74! -Doug

WH, Thanks for sharing! -Doug
Really nice work ! 👆👍🏾
HH, Thanks for the visit! -Doug
Awesome build! I just completed this kit a week ago- but built it up as an 'everyday driver' stock pinto that had been around for awhile, it gave ne a great chance to test my weathering skills, go off the beaten path and not worry about a factory fresh appearance, and just have fun for once! the kit was pretty straightforward, but I had an issue with the interior tub in mine sitting up too high and really jacking the back end up. I ended up cutting the mounting tabs off and gluing the interior into the body. overall fit and finish was pretty cute, this mold has really held up well
EH, I'm glad you were able to fix your issue and have fun with the build. Sometimes builders get to obsessed with perfection they for get their supposed to enjoy this hobby. Thanks for sharing! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Hi Doug. New subscriber here. I’ve got to give you kudos for the mention of Rogers Hobbies. The last of the great hobby shops is sadly missed. I’ve modeled since I was a kid (if your in or from the Saginaw area) but went on hiatus about 20 years ago. Getting back into it again. Thanks for the review. I have several Pintos in my collection but not one with those custom parts. If I find one I’ll have to pick it up. Jeff
Jeffrey, Thanks for watching and we're glad to have you back in the hobby! -Doug
Nice looking build buddy ! Great tip on hanging that body ... stay safe brother
CP, Thanks, you too old friend! -Doug
I'm subbed,notification seen to have missed this one,just spotted.😁

i picked up this kit today and it only had six tires looks like its missing the back two for the custom build :(
Chek, If it was unopened you should have gotten all eight so you can request replacements from AMT on the Round2 website! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas thanks will do that - I’ve subscribed some time ago and really enjoy your channel
Thanks Chek, We 'Preciate it! -Doug
What cleaners can you use to clean the pledge floor care products from your paint brushes???
Wm, It's water soluble but if you add a few drops of Windex that helps! PS, please help us reach more modelers by subscribing if you haven't done so already. -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas I finally subbed thanks I'll use Windex... Thanks bro' and Merry Christmas to you and yours...

Oh yea, that will be a fun build Malik.
Nice build Doug. Like the kit but not a fan of the nose they put on it.
RB, That's where your scratch building skills come in! -Doug
I heard the rear bumpers on Pintos back then were made of flint...I could be wrong
CC, Uh, no! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Can this be be built stock? Or is it just custom only?
My, Yes, it has a stock version too! -Doug
So my 15th birthday is on Sunday
Simon, Woohoo, that's terrific! Happy birthday. Celebrate with a new model build! -Doug
Looks like you had to put a LOT of work into getting those parts to fit!
CF, It takes a lot of patience to build the custom version! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Well those custom parts are kind of ugly but you did an amazing job of making this thing look awesome! Thank you for doing a build on this. I was really curious what it would look like with those custom parts and so now I know. Definitely will be picking one of these up.
Thanks Mad, have fun! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Oh yes I have been a subscriber for a while. I really enjoy your videos
Just wonder if you'd be able to use the custom tires and wheels on the stock build
DP,, I don't see why not.. There's no differencce in the body style's fenders so it should be a simple replacement! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Hey Doug ,got a question and yes I am a sub . How do I remove Adhesive residue from Bare metal foil on my paint finish on my car models ? I tried using robbing I call on AQ tip with not good results
HH, If the paint is thoroughly dry use some cigarette lighter fluid. -Doug
So my sister watch ratatouille today
Simon, That is a great movie! -Doug
