    Nice educational video, content seems to be aimed at therapists rather than aimed at treating!

    Started out a sore spot on left ft, left side of my Achilles. Been crawling for a wk now. Excruciating pain all the time. Got an MRI, wtg for results. This is so crazy.

    The Tendonitis Expert who posts on youtube emphasizes that muscle tightness is the biggest factor in tendon problems and that if that is addressed it will provide long term relief from the problem.

      @bigeasybri Před 2 lety +2

      That was the case for me. I had tendon pain that was caused by a very tight hamstring and calf muscles. A simple massage gun fixed the problem in just a couple of days.

      @@kaurpreet-wq6uz I'm at work now, so I don't recall the brand, but I purchased it at Target and the price was quite reasonable (under $40). I think it was in the "As Seen on TV" aisle. The pain did linger a little after playing tennis for a few more weeks, but totally resolved now. Hope that helps. Good luck!

    Once some research identifies aetiology, then treatment can be evidenced based. Sadly at present, treatment is empirical. Biomechanics needs more attention.

  • @shoanna3
    @shoanna3 Před 7 lety +2

    I believe I am in the healing part of achilles tendinosis as there is no pain at all anymore, just some stiffness in the morning and maybe later in the day. I do eccentric heel drops, calf foam rolling and and cross friction fiber massage, all twice a day. That being said their is still swelling in my achilles (middle of it). Is that just scar tissue that will always be there and no big deal or will it go down? Thanks!

    I think this video is to get people to a doctor or something when there's plenty of things that can be done without specialists.
    I think some people let it get worse and worse until surgery is necessary.
    It probably starts because of tight calves in especially cold weather. Or overtraining

      Yes I have achilles tendinitis and metatarsalgia. My doctor said it is because the achilles cause my foot to put more impact there when walking cause. How is your foot now?
