My name is Eric and I travel with my cats, “Tara” & “Opie” in a 24ft 2001 Ford Tioga RV named “Freeda” and tow either a 2014 Smart Car named “Tater Tot” or my 2012 Harley Softail Slim named “Black Betty” in a 6x10 trailer. We travel about 35 miles a day chasing 70 degrees year-round since 2010.

I love the kitty tunnel. Opie gets his running around and Tara chills in a corner. Fort Wilderness looks like a fantastic place to camp with plenty to do. The show looked great. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.

It’s been almost 13 years since I’ve been there but still remember getting on the stage at that show. All the food is so delicious though out the park.
When putting the kitties outside in their wonderful corral (I need to get one), consider putting something for Tara to take cover under. She seems uncomfortable being exposed in the open with no cover.
Cats usually only need a cardboard box, nothing fancy.
Fresh air is good for cats

Fun Fact: the construction has been cancelled. They pulled the permits. The resort they were planning to build has now been move to the Polynesian in a scaled down version

YaY! Hope you have an amazing time! We’re doing a resort skyliner bar crawl in a couple days and then a dessert resort monorail crawl next week. The resorts are gorgeous this time of year. Hope you were able to book the evening Mickey’s Christmas party event. We went last month and had such a blast!

Ft. Wilderness is probably THE best park anywhere. Clean restrooms which are temperature controlled. Level sites.

Thanks for sharing the campground, we stayed in the EXPENSIVE CABINS about 10 years ago but want to stay in the campground.
I think I’ve said this before Eric, but you pack more into a day than some people pack into a lifetime! To think you’re getting there at 8:30 in the morning and you’re completely set up by 10:30 and driving around just blows my mind. I’d still be trying to park on my levelers for the first two hours! Then I spend the next four hours setting everything up and hooking up water etc. How do you do that!!? This was your BEST video yet! What a production!

We love sitting on the rockers on the Crocketts Tavern porch. Relaxing and people watching! Takes you away from the mad rush of the parks. Eric you are not supposed to drive your car within the campground!!
So much fun to watch! I’ll always love Disney! The only downer I saw was one brief moment at the end where some camper was showing a video on an outdoor screen of a very mature saguaro cactus🌵taking a tumble to the ground… no doubt not of its own doing. 😢

That was a very pleasant experience thank you so much. I didn't feel any stress at all I just felt comfort and just to let you know I worked for Disney for a lot of years and I missed the place so thank you for letting me see some of the stuff that I miss enjoy.

Love the kitty tunnel but be on the lookout for coyotes. You mentioned going inside a minute for things but coyotes only take a second to attack. Forgive me if I'm over stepping, we're just having more attack over the years and the coyotes are getting more bold.

We were there in September and at about 11am at the main pool there was only 1 family. Those are the best days. But definitely, the quiet pool is a great pool to try if you want to have less people. Especially to use the jacuzzi.
I worked on Ft Wilderness years ago. It's changed a lot. But it is a great campground, but not cheap . Thanks for video
Eric, I know you are coming upon the first anniversary of Jax's departure over the Rainbow Bridge. Trust that he accompanied you for the last year, still loves Tara and thinks Opie is too funny. My heart hurts for you, but you will be just fine. Nothing wrong with still grieving your feline friend.

If you want to get away... drive an hr east to New Smyrna Beach. Great lil surf town with great food...

I’m so jealous, love love love fort wilderness campground. Would love to go over Christmas some day. Have been there with the kids every spring break for too many years to count. The FW construction is not gonna end, the area is just used for storage now. Since WDW is short staffed, that is why the reservations exist.

Christmas at Fort wilderness is a dream come true it is the best place in the world to be not only do you have all the RVs decorating for Christmas the park celebrates Christmas in the best way I have to say in my 58 years my favorite Christmas Day was spent at Disney World even with the crowds
We just stayed in the 2100 loop in October and liked it. Especially the back side of the loop closer to the loop exit

Could you do a extended version of the Christmas lights and one of Fort wilderness? I don’t really care about going to the parks but I would love just to camp there and enjoy the campground.
Unfortunately there is no videoing or cameras allowed on space mountain now.

Went to Disney in October. Earned a stress fracture in my foot from so much walking. Over 30,000 steps the first day in the parks.
My adult daughter and I are going this Thanksgiving, 2023, and thanks for the pool and hot tub tip. (we are staying in the cabins). I can't get a reservation for the Review, and I am going to do what you did, see if any cancellations. Let you know who we do!

I felt the same way we stayed at TTO the last two weeks. We did ICE at the Gaylord palms and it definitely brought on the Christmas spirit with the 9 deg ice carving room.
I managed to get a solo reservation for Hoop De Do when I was over at the end of Nov last year. Wasn’t available at 60 days out but I kept looking and one popped up! I loved it but the food they bring out for one person was waaaay too much for me to eat. 😂

Looks like another good Disney fix for you. That chair or one very similar can be found at Harbor Freight for around $20 last time I bought two. Maybe higher now but not getting overpriced like the park. Kitty run is great. Opie sure loves it.
@@RickMartinCZcams For sure! Plus you can stay at the nearby state park, Lake Louise SP, which is just a short drive to the big pick-pocket parks. I have stayed and it was nice to get away in the evening to non-merchandised peace and quiet. This way you can enjoy what you want on a day trip to Universal or Disney and then back to your camper to grill dinner and the next day rest up with a easy hike on the many trails.
The absolute best deal in FL is the Weekie Wachie Mermaids. About $14 to get in and great swimming, a water slide, snack lunches not too overpriced, the mermaid show included too. Took my great grandson and stayed all day. He was 9 at the time and played in the sandy bottom swim area almost all day and loved the water slide. $14! Free picture with a mermaid too. Best of all it’s old FL. The state took it over and it’s doing great!
