Don't do a rubber roof. Do one of the new spray on roofs or armor shield where they come to you and roll one on. Lifetime warranty an no rubber to tear and no sealing maintainance needed.
Can you give us some info on that kind of roof...have heard of some people using flex seal..that's about it..
@@bryanblack7828 one is flexarmor, thats the spray on. the roll on where they come to you is RV ARMOR. both lifetime warranty and cheaper than paying a dealer to put a rubber style roof on.
Would really like to see all of the mods/projects with the new RV.
Nice and such low mileage! Tara will have a smaller dash for lounging but I think both kitties will love it. The bumper is an easy fix, they probably took too sharp a turn and crunched their tow vehicle. Nice buy Eric!
I'm confused why an accident lead to.. this.
Nice Rig .... Now don't mess this one up !!! Leave it alone ( stock )
Wow! Great find Eric! Looking forward to seeing your “upgrades” to suit “you”. Glad to see you happy,Eric. Going smaller, less electrical issues with no slide outs etc....plus maybe cheaper on gas.?
It's a V10
May you have many miles with many smiles in your new ride.
That is awesome, Eric!
Congratulations and may you be blessed with many more miles of safe travels🙏
Looking forward to watching you personalize her👍🏼😊
Great news! 😀 Great purchase! 👍🏻 Back to NO SLIDES! Great! I hate slides! Manual everything. YAY! SO glad you got another Tioga as it feels like coming home for you. I checked CZcams and at least according to the video dates, it has been three years for you in the class A. I can still remember you sitting in one of your earlier Tiogas talking about why you travel with a cat (Jax) and he was crawling all over you as you gave him affection while talking. One thing, I DO THINK the front passenger seat and mounting hardware needs to come out so the fancy automatic cat litter box has a place to go. Anywhere else and it is in the way. I hope you can keep the blue chair as it will be so much more comfortable than the dinette. Wonder if one side of that dinette will get converted to a sofa like you had with one earlier Tioga? I guess we will find out. I still remember Jax jumping over the back of the couch. I also remember the last great compilation Tioga goodbye video (great editing and song used) of you and Jax in your matching Santa beards and hat with Jax looking back at you and you laughing. Good times! THAT IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE VIDEO OF YOURS! Sadly, the present kitties will miss that big, huge dashboard in that class A, but they will adapt to the new rig and find new places to sit with time. Great purchase and I love that it fits inside the garage. Hope you never give up that garage. It is perfect for you and you have friends living there. This was to long, but I am soooo happy for you. It was meant to be. Great name: “Freeda”. ❤️ Love it. Anyway, enjoy Freeda and go re-explore quirky America once again! Safe travels and joy to all three of you! 😻😻😎Yay!
It's so awesome to see you so happy take care Eric the kitties looked right at home already
I'd keep that as stock as possible for the interior (maybe upgrade fixtures, cushions if needed ) , if you need a larger tv use a short throw projector rather than an actual 60 inch TV. And of course get the thing weighed.
Nothing like a classic, simple, functional Class C! Good find.
Sooo happy to see a "C" again! No electric extras to go wrong. CONGRATULATIONS! Safe travels! 🌻
Freedia or Freida. Freedom is to political in this crazy times.
I am so tickled it fit in the shop!! Hey you can “febreeze” the ceiling! How cool is that! Gas mileage has to be better! 😎
Awesome find!
Wow Eric...it is in perfect shape! I love it!!! I love all the blue on it and in it. I've been watching you for years and I am so happy for you! Congratulations Eric!👍😁
I guess you can say you are going "Back to the Future". With this new/used RV. Looks nice.
Congratulations!! Yes, so much less to worry about. Looks great! Can't wait for your mods. 🎉🎉🎉
Happy for you Eric! Motor home is a beauty. Keeping it simple is sometimes the way to go. Looking forward to your conversions.
Jax the wonder RV
Did I miss something? Did you say why you downsized, or was getting back to your earlier days the explanation? Anyway, nice rig. Your mods are always interesting to see.
Congrats Eric! Now to figure out a way to use under your bed for storage for food and off season bedding and or clothes!!! Love the new RV, she is a beauty!!!
Great idea! Leave at least some of the over cab for the kitty's lookout area, cubby 👀😻
Congrats Eric, looks like a great find!! Looking forward to watching all the changes & upgrades🤗
Your new rig looks very well taken care of. Congratulations on a great find Eric!
Congratulations Eric! I think this is such a better sized RV for one person and two kitties. Can’t wait to watch the changes. What a HUGE difference those lights made! I like the name Freedom. Not crazy about Freeda.
Aw I love the name!
You look so happy. Sorry Tara had an attitude when you came back, but kitties really like having THEIR STAFF on site full time. Can’t wait to see your updates/repairs and then getting back on the road. Safe travels
"Their staff"!!! LOL Love it!
Hi Eric! I'm guessing you have the same kind of aluminum roof that I have on my '88 Tioga. The aluminum got pitted over time. I suggest that you clean that rubber roof real good and then get a gallon of white FlexSeal and apply a couple of thin coats. I did my roof 3 years ago and still have no problems or concerns. I promise you'll love the results and save a lot of bucks.
Agree!!
Congratulations Eric , great to see you happy again , looking forward to watching you starting the upgrades on the new rig
I love to see the progression. Van to class c to class A with all of the bells and whistles and right back to class c with less problems. These RV’s aren’t made for full timers lol.
Looks great! Can't wait to watch you make it your own again!
Congratulations. While you are acclimating the cats to their new digs, make sure you check every nook and cranny for baits and pesticides.
Bunk over the cab is kitty heaven with the windows!
Nice RV I like the no frills , less to go wrong! That tv mount....if you can find a board that will tie into the upper cabinet that would solve the wobble! Mine has the soft ceiling cuts down on noise and helps insulation . Good find! Actually the roof don't look to bad given the age! But yes the caulk is bad! I coated mine with Henry's tropicool. No leaks before or after..you know them bulbs are hot!!!first thing I did was to change the bulbs to LED! On my Lexi,
Yes! Ive heard tropicool is the best for roofs. Lasts long time too
Eric, we personally like the name freedom because it goes with how you are feeling now and what you want your adventures to feel like. You have had such a rough time of it and so much pain and heartache in your life recently you deserve some happiness and relaxation and yes freedom in your life from pain, heartache and frustration. We love watching your videos and keep them coming, hope this year gets better for you and those precious little kitties.😀
My sentiments exactly.
Love that word FREE
🙏🇺🇸🕊️ "FREEDOM" 👍👍
Agreed 💯% 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I am really confused. Why did he buy a new RV? I thought he was just going to repair the damage to old one? Or is he keeping both? lol
The best thing about the RV is that it makes you smile and that is what the journey is all about :)
I for one, love the name Freedom, that’s my vote :)
If you’re going back to your roots…it has to be “Jax”. ❤️
Congratulations on the new RV! Happy travels!
I vote for Jax too
It’s going to sound weird for Eric to constantly refer to the Tioga as Jax. And new viewers won’t know who Jax was.
Came in here to suggest 'Jax' as well.
@@Wanderersea Viewers didn't know who Miranda was either...and that was a fictional name. Jax actually stands for something. Its up to new viewers to go back and watch the old videos now, isn't it?
I agree. Jax would be perfect.
I’m excited for you and your next adventure. May God Bless you and watch over you and guide your every steps
Amen to that.
Don't change things. It is great as it is. But yes....do the roof work.
This was an EXCELLENT find. Congratulations. It looks perfect for your needs-not too small, not to large…just right. Congratulations.
Congrats Eric! Cant wait to follow you on CZcams in your new RV.
It really was! The mileage along with it’s condition is unbeatable!
Did Eric ever explain why he's going back to a class C?
He kept saying how great a class A was.
@@RedRider1600 I think it started with needing an RV while Miranda was being repaired after the accident. Just like he got Vanna White when he couldn’t get a part for same. Now with Freda he’s finding he has more versatility and probably Freda plus Tater Tot is a more manageable towing situation. And Tara really seems to warm up and come out of her shell in Freda. I’d be surprised if he goes back to Miranda. (I sure got lucky when he decided Vanna White was too small-she’s perfect for me.)
Congrats on your new rig, Eric!!
Congratulations. I must say I'm jealous - I would love having one of those RV's - just enough size for one person.
congrats looking forward to seeing your modifications, the LEDb lights made a huge difference
Congratulations 👏👏 love it see yah Eric and Tara an Opie hugs always I say freedom
CONGRATS Back to the basics is soooooooooooooooo much better for you and your lifestyle in my humble opinion.
Smaller is easier to park and maneuver,,,,,,,,,,,better gas mileage,,,,,,,,,,catches less wind,,,,, lower height,,,,much more practical then a HUGE oversize Bus you were considering.
NOOOOOO hydraulic lifts, or slide outs to leak and GO BAD as they all do as do power awnings grrrrrrrrrrrr
For what its worth based on my owning RV mostly Class C's 50 years plus being an Electrical Engineer my advice would be (although its YOUR RV YOUR choices, only YOU know whats needed and whats best)
1. ROOF you don't need a whole new roof, ONLY a professional new and proper coating, right ???
2) SEALANT While the old dark cracking sealer looks bad if you were to clean and coat over with Dicor it would never leak and that's much easier n faster then removal UNLESS where you were to add at least one better two MAXXAIR FANS which I recommend in which case sure, total old sealer removal
3) How about replacing the chair with a mini wall hugger style recliner ?? Room enough ??
4) TIRES I chose Load Range E 10 Ply rated LT225x75R16 Continental Vanco Four Seasons as they were MUCH higher load rated then Michelin or Good Year or Firestone, check them out
5) BATTERIES Unless you are given them and had to buy I went with SOK Lithiums, 412 Amp Hour 12.8 Volt units as they are like 1/2 price of Battleborn and about as good in my opinion. At least two for all EXCEPT AC but if for AC use then 3 or 4
6) SOLAR I bet there's room for 4 panels that would give you 800 to 1200 Watts ??
7) ENGINE CHARGING for night driving or cloudy rainy days Id add a 20 to 40 Amp DC to DC suitable for charging Lithiums while driving.....
8) TRANNY A MUST IN MY OPINION I would remove the old and add a new deeper extra capacity cooling tranny pan (have fins or cooling tubes) and power flush and use Synthetic Fluid as you are towing and will be in mountains that will keep from burning up the stock tranny........
9) PLUGS some (maybe NOT your engine) of the early Tritons had the classic blown spark plug problems so if they need replaced Id let Ford do it as torque is CRITICAL
10) FRIDGE I found the small interior fans (blow against the inside fins) as well as the two external fans REALLY HELP
11) AC Of course add a Soft Start unit but you already knew that lol
Cant wait to watch your renovations

Eric I am so excited for you and the kitties...this is awesome... What a great find.. Love Freedom.. Or Journey as a name....
Ohhhh, I like Journey. That is an awesome name!!
❤️ Journey
Congratulations! I had a feeling you were getting a new RV!
I'm so glad that it's you looking at all that work than me. I have my van build almost done and it has taken me about 3 years to get it done. I don't want to ever have to do another build.
Congratulations on your new ride! Betting the gas will be a little better too. Just curious, what made you switch? Love to you and the kids ❤️🐾
Yup I think this model RV fits you the best. The kitties will love the bed with all the windows. Maybe you can rig up something like a shelf so they can get some Sun.
Cat tree/tower next to it, maybe a catwalk around the interior of rest of RV, so they have their own space off the floor 😻
Looks great! So very happy for you and the kitties ❤️❤️
I remember you Tioga days!! Great shape xoxo Tara & Opie enjoy your new RV!!
Looks great!😁
Glad that you were able to get a really low mileage unit. Your projects are always interesting.
Best wishes.😁
So happy for you!!! Love your excitement!!!!!
"Freeda" is perfect!!! Can't wait for the new adventure!!!!!
Yahooooo let’s hear it for the name FreeDa. I like it! And to think he is naming after me!
I like Freeda. It fits her. Look forward to seeing what you do with her. Ouch! As soon as you reached for that bulb I was thinking "how long has that light been on"😳. The kitties will like hiding up in the over cab area! It's the favorite napping spot for our two boys. We went from a Class A to a Class C many years ago and have never regretted it.
Me too!
Another You Tuber’s rig is Freeda. Can’t remember which one. How about Atlas?
😺 Over cab area is a purrfect kitty cubby with all around surveillance windows! 👀 Place cat tree/tower nearby, for easier access! 😻
for the traveling you do and city driving, the smaller RV will probably work great for you. what are you planning on doing with the class A RV?
Kind of sucks the timing of the a-hole cutting him off and causing the accident. But yeah, wondering what he's going to do with it.
You sure are full of surprises. Congratulations on your new find. You are looking right at home there. May it bring you tons of joy.
Congratulations, you and the kitties have new great and wonderful new memories, be safe have fun. 🥰❤️🇨🇦👍🏼🚌
Once you've fixed it up, you need to go out to that RV junk yard in Washington, and of course that camping spot on the river. So what are you going to do with the class A.
The clase is going to be stored until it can be repaired
Looks pristine and all original, I wouldn't change anything from the classic look. Maybe should've gotten a fixer upper instead if you wanted to change it to look like a bachelor pad.🤷
It would be a shame to ruin the original look that made it through the decades so well.
Congratulations on your new to you Togatot 🤗
Eric,
I also like the name “Jax” for the new ride
Looks good. I personally prefer the Chevy chassis over Ford. Glad you found what you like.
Great RV , amazing low mileage, looking forward to seeing all of your modifications on her !!
Wise decision Eric! Freeda is an excellent name!
FreeDa is an excellent name! Glad he is naming after me! Sweet!
As in FREEDA go here, there, everywhere! 😎
TIGGER, TOYGA or just TATER (don't be a hater) would be fun, too!
@@What.The.Fluff. yea so cool! Fantastic name! And he is so nice to think of me a long time follower!
You even have room for a bigger screen on the tv set up. Excellent find.
Eric your quite mad….Lol. Sweet new RV. BUT I can’t see you without a massive TV.
Please be careful Eric out there on the road and where u stay what is happening these days is blowing my mind
What do you mean, like what happening?
@@ryankelly7273 Someones been watching too much tv. Stay at home where it is safe.
Looks great! You said it has a 6.8 V10 in it. Your gonna wanna watch your spark plugs with those triton engines they are notorious for ejecting the spark plugs. If I were you I'd get all the plugs wires and coils replaced AND MAKE SURE THE PLUGS ARE GAPPED CORRECTLY to ensure you don't have that issue. Otherwise it's a great engine with LOTS of power altho I personally prefer the 488 (8.0) Magnum V10 from Dodge.
Unfortunately they are notorious gas guzzlers that get about 8 mpg which today with gas being around $4 a gallon is going to be very hard on gas costs!
My 70 passenger 1976 school bus got about 12 mpg with a Ford 331 engine, but it's empty weight was some 22,000 pounds, and it had a
manual transmission
@@HobbyOrganist Wow that's really impressive man it seems like we've taken a step back these days if anything. I guess Scotty Kilmer wasn't kidding when he said in his video these new cars are trash lol
@@HobbyOrganist * newer
Congrats Eric! Safe journey's are ahead!!
Love the new RV Eric!! Freedom would be a cool name!!
"Ericka" would be cute but I agree, "Freida" sounds much better!!! Congrats & Have Fun!!
So happy to see you back in a Tioga it was nice for you to have all the space in Miranda but the Tioga has a completely different feeling well done Eric 👍
Eric, I hope you see this. I would go with removing that OLD AC Unit and go with the MINI Split.
As you know that is 3x less power you'll need to run AC.
So remove the old AC units Whew redo your roof.
Go with the Mushroom shape roof Vents. (replace with
and yes, what good is that old TV / Batwing antenna?
PS; I have the same RV ! ! !
Wow all in all that Tioga is in excellent shape. Your joy is palpable. So glad to see you in something that you are so familiar with I must say it felt like home just watching you show it. I'm sure the kitties will enjoy and adjust easily. Definitely looking forward to your future episodes making this Tioga just the way you want. Congratulations on your new adventures with freedom.
I like your choice of a modest sized RV! Here in Canada, I don't know why, but it used to be that tent trailers and single axel trailers were good enough sized units for even 5 member families! Nowadays they're hauling half their houses along these days and taking up so much space at campsites where two normal sized RVs would fit! Kudos to you for your choice and glad to see you so happy again!
Eric I love ur new home, looking forward to all the new upgrades.
Awesome ride!!!! What about Liberty for the name?
Wow-those LED bulbs definitely brightened things up. Super excited for the new chapters to come. Hoping you do step by step upgrades as you go. 🤗
Great find. Name her "Free Spirit", because that is how she makes you feel. With the economy like it is, less to run her. That carpet on the ceiling is an layer of insulation. Her size and not having slide outs means that she can fit in smaller places giving you less limits on where you can park her. Happy trails ahead.
Congrats!!!! Looking forward to seeing your projects.
Freedom sounds great !
Nice RV Eric. Happy for you. Freeda sounds like a good name for her.
Wow what a fantastic name! Sweet he thought of me! Been a long time follower since he was a pup!
So happy, can't wait for up coming shows. Freda is super
Awesome RV!!!! And as a small time mechanic myself, I applaud you for getting a pre-purchase inspection! Too many people do not get the vehicle inspected before buying and find out it has issues too late. But glad to see you are simplifying life!!!! Stay safe out there, keep those reels and wheels turnin'!
CONGRATULATIONS!! Are you selling your other one? I can't wait to find an Rv as you & Dave did. Seems like they're all gone from my searches 😔 Look forward to your upcoming vids!
Congratulations! I wish you lots of fun with your new home.
I've actually been looking to get something like this. What would be a good price if the condition is good with little to no issues?
WOW...LED upgrade converts the interior to a bright & clean look!
Now, think really hard before you start tearing it all up!
Looks great Eric! We vote for Freeda as the name. Looking forward to how you do the roof membrane.
Yea go for FreeDa! I’m loving that name too! He is so sweet to think of me!
Wow those LED's just made it look 1000% better! Looking forward to the new RV projects!
Sweet and no need to climb ladder, just step off loft onto the roof :)
Name your rig Brandon.
That way when it's time to leave for another destination you can just say out loud, "Let's Go Brandon!"
That’s hilarious! But , so true !
Freeda for sure!!! Man you're smile!!!! You look sooooo happy 😁😁😁😁
Love that name! So sweet to be named after! Gotta love Eric!
That is glorious! I can't wait to see you customize it.
I have a carpet ceiling too. A bonus is that Velcro sticks to it!
Back to the beginning of the roots of RV Life. Congratulations on the Tioga - new adventure awaits.
On those Tioga carpeted roofs, any leak stain can be easily removed with chlorine. The carpet stain disappears, and original carpet color is restored. Make sure chlorine does not drop into other clothing materials.
Man I thought you found a skoolie, but she looks good, as always I look forward to you sharing how you fix it up, definitely show us the roof work, I'm thinking about redoing mine at the end of the season.
skoolies suck
" I thought you found a skoolie" Me too!
PPS- Wow that's insanely low mileage. What's one of these go for like this? $15k? 🤔
