I'm honestly really mad that they've decided to make Tim Drake the new Batman Beyond in his upcoming series, Batman Beyond is one of my favorite heroes and if Terry doesn't pick the mantle back up then there goes my interest in reading the new series.
Raptor Why? If anyone, Tim is the best pick to be Batman Beyond, an expert in pretty much everything computers and electronics, he's a martial arts master, and a fantastic dectective, he's pretty much Bruce in a younger body.
I love that they did that I think it was incredibly clever
xXShadowXx But there was no reason to have Terry killed off and replaced by Tim, and this is not even the present Tim, it's Future's End Tim from 5 years in the future. For me, the best part about Batman Beyond was the character of Terry, he was an interesting, fresh take on the Batman story, but now his whole story is pretty much thrown out the window because Tim drake is not popular enough and needs his own series. It could have been just as easy to create a Red Robin solo saga to bring Tim closer to how he was before the new 52, complete with his own supporting cast and everything, and Terry could have remained BB. Now, Terry is out of the picture, and Tim is just kinda shoved into the role of Batman Beyond, at least, that's what it feels like to me. Basically I think Terry's death was completely unnecessary, and removing established characters is not the way to go to increase Tim Drake's popularity.
Raptor although terry may have died in future's end is he really dead considering now the time has changed since the whole brother eye event wont effect the future? So would tim affect the future or would things go back to normal?

How about Jim Gordon's descendant becoming a future Batman in the graphic novel "Digital Justice" from 1990, I think? That was also, I believe, the first 100% CGI artwork comic.

I really like this one version of Bruce Wayne who was an ordained minister and THEN became Batman and the writer did a great job in writing Bruce still keeping his faith, despite all the crazy stuff he encounters.

My favorite alternate versions of Batman are Batman Beyond, Flashpoint Batman, Earth 2 Batman, and of course, the Dark Knight Returns Batman! It's always cool when Thomas Wayne is Batman, especially because his suit designs are always awesome. It must be heartbreaking for him to have to battle his wife since she is the joker. It would be interesting if there were an elseworlds story featuring Bruce Wayne as the Joker and whoever the Joker is as Batman. It would be a good move for that comic not to mention who that Batman is so the regular Joker's identity wasn't revealed. But it may be ok for that batman to be Jack Napier, if that story takes place in a universe parallel to the 1989 Batman film and/or Batman the Animated Series.

Yes there was, I think It was after infinite crisis or final crisis.... He was presumed dead but was sent back in time
Return of Bruce Wayne is when he gets sent back but there is not a medieval version there. However there is a story called dark knight of the round table that is about that idea.

I've got The Return of Bruce Wayne somewhere. I only picked it up because I thought a Batman of the High Seas sounding interesting :P

My favorite alt-versions include:
* DC One Million Batman, the warden and lone watchman of the prison planet Pluto in the 853rd century, who wields both tech gadgets and telepathy.
* BTAS Batman, the version many fans (including myself) grew up with, and who cemented Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman for me.
* Batman Beyond, an original creation for the DCAU. Behind the scenes, Conroy mentored Will Friedle on how to get into character as Batman, in a parallel to the relationship between the characters they portrayed.
* Justice League: Gods and Monsters Batman, from a universe where Kirk Langstrom (the Man-Bat in the original) accidentally turns himself into a vampire while experimenting with a cure for lymphoma. He's a lot more violent and tends to kill criminals, partly because he can't help it, and partly because he's morally conflicted.
If you're noticing a pattern, it's because Bruce Timm was responsible for the latter 3.

You should talk about Captain Marvel. Her origins, powers, etc.
What's confusing is The Dark Knight Returns universe was designated as Earth-31 in pre New 52. Then now Earth-31 is residence to Batman Leatherwing(pirate batman). So now, TDKR has no specific Earth number.

I'm from 2020, there are other alternate versions of Batman, like The Batman Who Laugh and The Dark Night Metal and there is a Grim Knight.
Prime Batman, Batman Beyond, Azrael ( Michael Lane ), Azrael ( Knightfall ), Owlman, and Dark law are my favorites.

Favourite has to be Flashpoint. Love the idea of a doctor being a vigilante like Watson in Sherlock Holmes. :D Oh FYI, Batman 43 wasn't bitten by Dracula, he was turned by some turn good vampire who needed him to take down Dracula.
Vampire Batman... Perhaps the most terrifying version of Batman ever known (especially how he looks in Crimson Mist). On the up side, the crime-rate would plummet overnight... At least until he starts targetting innocent people.
the reason I liked the batman who got back from retirement to fight crime then superman is because in an animated movie of that he said a cool line which I believe was I forgot part of it I only know "just remember who beat you"
My favorite batman is the darkest knight batman. I actually have that Elseworlds comic. Actually, Darkest Knight Batman and the Earth Prime Batman. At a close second is absolutely Owlman. I like that Batman because Owlman is actually Thomas Wayne, Jr. and all the characters are flipped because earth-3 is an antimatter univesre. For example, Superman's antimatter counterpart is Ultraman, Wonder Woman's is Super Woman, The Flash's is Johnny Quick, and Green Lantern's is Power Ring. All these are reverse roles of some of the most well known heroes in the DC universe. All moral roles are flipped, including the villains', Such as Alexander Luthor, the heroic counterpart to Lex Luthor. To sum it all up, I really like Batman. And have too much time on my hands :)
I still can't choose my favorite between: Bruce Wayne Batman, Batzarro (I like Bizarro characters, Bizarro is my favorite DC character), Vampire Batman, One Million Batman, Bat-Mite and McGinnis Batman (Batman Beyond)!
I always wondered why batman beyond never had a version of robin, batgirl, nightwing, red hood, or red robin. I think that would just be so cool for him to have those sidekicks and partners it might have made the show and comic books more interesting
