- NMBS Locomotief 12004 , gefilmd op weg naar de manifestatie Treinen door de tijd in Utrecht,ter gelegenheid van 150 jaar Nederlandse Spoorwegen in juli 1989.
De gestroomlijnde NMBS Locomotieven van de serie 12 mogen worden beschouwd als de mooiste en sierlijkste sneltrein locomotieven van de Belgische Spoorwegen. De opnamen zijn gemaakt in de buurt en op het station van Geldermalsen.

Thanks! This 12004 is now proudly standing in the railway museum at Schaarbeek near Brussels (called "trainworld").

Absolute cracks! Finest Belgian steam ever (but did have a tendency to slip if indelicately handled!).
No,this type of locomotives were equipped with two cylinders, the wheels had a diameter of 210 cm, top speed about 165 km/ph , only six Locomotives of class 12 has been build in 1939, in Belgium.

You are correct and if he has PZB just like DB Baureihe 010 Frieda he can run all the way to the former border of West and East Germany which are Helmstedt Marienborn Büchen Schwanheide

Thanks for watching my Video, It's a Belgian Steam locomotive, type 12 . Since 1939 in Use of the Belgian Railway. Due to the outbreak of World War Two ,only 6 locomotives were build in the workshop of the SNCB. They were intended to pull the fast express trains between Brussel and Ostende.

Véritable navire amiral de la SNCB, détentrice du Ruban Bleu, la "12" fut remise en service en 1985.
Par la suite, sur avarie, elle fut jugée irréparable et est actuellement exposée au Train World.
Le SNCB n'a-t-elle pas raté l'occasion d'avoir avec cette locomotive et des voitures adaptées une rame historique qui aurait pu être rentabilisée?
