- Mostly footage of Simon @Woodlandcraftuk felling, bucking and splitting in this video as he learns/refines his technique. Together we managed almost a face cord in around 3 hours. I'm sure with some time you could make it even more efficient harvesting axe cut wood. Great day with great company as per usual, look forward to doing more in weeks to come and make the most of the coppice season for 2023.
Happy new year all!
Video came out great!!
axework is just some special kind of meditation
Wonderful vid again. Enjoyable viewing. Mr. Owen.
It's nice to see that wooden handle flex like that 🙂
Nice chopping and a much earned meal after!
Damn fine chopping sir!
lovely video as always, thank you.
if only there was some kind of trainable animal to help pick up the logs and to stack them for you... but then if you had that kind of thing, the bacon might be worried.
Nice billhook too!
is that birch? cuts really nice
Yes all silver birch atm. I like to leave the Hornbeam till later for coppicing
Great video! Looks like you guys had fun and the campfire bacon sarnies looked tasty.
Nice looking Jersey. Happy New Years !
It'll be getting a custom handle sometime no doubt!
First! Great vid!
like lightning!
Great work as usual Man! That bush hook is a beast
Thanks! It's a little 9" brades billhook I treated myself to for Xmas with a new grind on 'er!
Is that jersey pattern the gransfors American axe?
Nope. True Temper 3.2
@@elemental4rce fair looks nice. Are they hard to find in the UK?
That Jersey Simon was using looks nice. Cool lookin billhook too. Some cool shots as well. Love to see the old redhead CT put to use.
That ct is basically brand new! It's the one Simon made a film of tuning it.
I'd have liked to get some more vintage axes out but as per usual we got carried away chopping! Lucky to get as much footage as we did 😅 I'll get Ben and Simon down again soon!
