    I have so much respect for you for taking the loss and being able to overcome it and turn it into something positive. If all Strive players could be a quarter as headstrong as you we would never have to deal with any salt or toxicity over characters ever.
    You are my damn hero Diaphone, I hope someday I will be able to face off in a tourney against you with my own I-no. Till then Ill keep practicing and do my best to take example from you as one of the most inspiring players in this game.

    Sir, you are no Brine F, there was nothing accidental about this run. Incredible performance 👍👍👍

    Even though you lost, I think this makes for a memorable moment in FGH. The Goldlewis pick for the cheeky mind game while he played up the "bad guy" theatrics was fun to watch. Actually smashing with him and making him look OP kinda makes for a good story in the end. I bet that won't work again though! You got the next one! :D

    To be honest at first I only watched the tournament, because of the DLC, but you guys made it so fucking hype to watch. It was the first fighting game tournament that I have watched and I can't wait for more. Thank you for the great entertainment

    I always enjoy seeing players go through their tourney runs and talk about their thought processes. I would’ve liked a more detailed version, but this short, digestible version is nice too.
    It’s super sick to see your hard work pay dividends this tournament! We’ll all still be cheering for you in future tourneys! Hopefully this is a sign for things to come as more and more offline tourneys become possible.

    Seeing Diaphone up there with the "big boys" (and even beating them) makes me so proud as he is hands down my favourite player. Teaches/explains things in such an informative and satisfying way. Spreads wellness and good health. So respectable. And when its game day HE PERFORMS. Great run, amazing content, King. 🎸👑

    So enjoyed sitting down and watching this live, and really enjoyed this down to earth self reflection. Keep up the great work man! Also on the "accidently got second" bit according to Domino luck is a super power =)

    You played amazing on Kumite, seeing this tournament live was hella fun. I understand he caught you off guard with goldlewis, but gobou's defense when you got in was out of this universe too. I hope one day I can see you both play once you have more matchup knowledge!
    Keep it up man! You really did a sick job on this!

    Thanks for the video! Always refreshing to have a player talk about what went wrong and how to improve, but I'm actually really interested in your notetaking tech, especially after hearing you talk about it on Ultrachen TV the other day. Is there a certain structure you go for and fill in with notes, or just organize as you go? Would pair well with your flash cards video from awhile back, haha.

    • @Diaphone
      @Diaphone  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ve talked about it on stream few days… but it’s mostly just what I need to work on -> what I have worked on -> mu notes

    The translator at that tournament wasn't very good. So its not your fault if some things didn't translate well.

  • @AlociJo

    Really good breakdown of your sets during your run. It's cool to get some insight on what was going through a high level player's head during a match like this. Oh, and for next time, Sonicfox uses They/Them pronouns instead of He/Him.

    ok random but at 3:19 you get a sb off of a combo and i was trying to get this combo but couldnt, not because i couldnt imput but because the pot i was practicing it on didnt get launched high enought to get hit with the second to last air slash which leads into the last hit. basically he gets hit by the first one and just falls, i tried it on my friend and just ended up using the end of the combo to drop down and mix either heavy stroke the big tree or a back off into air kick etc

    • @Diaphone
      @Diaphone  Před 2 lety

      It depends on the starter. IIRC if j.d is the starter + slight delay to H divekick, the combo works on everyone. If j.s j.d is starter (j.s hits, unlike in the video), this combo only works on 1/2 the cast.

    I watched this live and whole tournament was amazing. Apologyman is so fucking cool, his matches were really intense. Both I-No players were sick, but, most importantly, they showed different strategies. My only complain is grand finals - almost all matches before were masterpieces, but final matches were complete dissapointment
