so deserved. ppl complaining on twitter talking about “over scored”…. true or not, they put up the best performance we have ever seen and deserve the highest score. just amazing
If people can't see the difference in OU performances versus the rest of the field they are simply announcing their ignorance of the sport to complain about OU's scoring. It's that simple.
well i only watched the first rotation but you can already tell that vault judges were more generous than at SECs. And i dont understand why faith gets a 9.9 with a stuck vault while katherine gets the same score with a big step. Dont get me wrong. OU is the best team for sure this season and they will win NCAAs for sure if they perform like that. I just recognize the scoring differences and inconsistencies.
Kinda annoying how they have the capability to show every routine then just skip a bunch of non-Oklahoma/Denver routines, especially in the last rotation!
Oklahoma is moving to the SEC and now Oklahoma is gonna dominate the SEC and it’s not gonna be as close or competitive anymore I’m mad about that the SEC if fine the at that it is
To me the scoring differences in these meets actually matter because Denver jumped Alabama and Kentucky in the rankings based on their respective scores at the conference championship meets. But when the sec is being scored much tighter than the big xii yet the scores are being compared...that's a problem
BYU's issue on floor isn't even their tumbling or dance elements - it's the choreography 😬😬😬 If they hired a better choreographer that didn't use poses every other second instead of actual dance they'd do AMAZING.
Consistency is key and OU have consistently scored high throughout this season. The NCAA Champs will be interesting to watch, this year I’ve said all along PAC-12 have scored fairly consistent, SEC it depends on who you are, BIG12 has had some questionable scoring especially Jordan Bowers floor routine last week scoring 10 with the front foot scooting back on her tumble pass.
PAC-12 scored consistently high in my opinion. Which is why both Cal and UCLA fell apart in their championship.... because they fell apart at the first sign of tighter scoring.
If OU performs like they did all season long, the team competition will be rather boring because OU will win for sure :D the question "who will be 2nd, 3rd and 4th?" seems more interessting to me. And i really cant tell who will win the AA. THAT will be interesting for sure :)
@@justlina2769I cant agree to that. UCLA was up and down all season long. they are just lacking consistency this season. their loss to Utah had nothing to do with tight scoring. And Cal just had a bad day. they made so many mistakes they didnt make all season long. That also had nothing to do with tight scoring.
@@natascha_o You focus on UCLA for this season (I was thinking about the last few years with respect to that team frankly.) Meanwhile, California was finally scored the way they should have been all along.
OU aren't getting these scores through overscoring - they're just that good. Other teams can't break 198 on the road - OU did it 5 times this season. You'll see, they'll be just as good away from home at regionals & nationals too.
Well if this vault by Jordan Bowers was done with the judges in New Orleans I guarantee they would not have given her a 10.0!! LSU had a couple that SHOULD have been scored higher and one definitely was a 10! They were not giving what was deserved. On floor, Haleigh Bryant had 3 10.0 but one judge just couldn’t go ahead and agree with the others and gave her a 9.9!!
Why comment that under OU’s win though? like i get being upset at scoring but why do you need to bring the others down when they’re literally in different conferences
If OU performs like this at NCAA final LSU has no chance to win. LSU looks great this year but OU performs so consistent so close to perfection this year. AA competition will be really interessting. Jordan Bowers, Haleigh Bryant, Selena Harris, Mya Lauzon, Raena Worley, Sierra Brooks... so many great all-arounders this year. It will come down to who has the best day.
@@emmacavan-marion7745 consistant judging across the game matters. Take LeVasseur's vault for example was scored a 9.9 with a HUGE step at the end of the vault. SEC judging would have given that a 9.825 at best. Got to come in and see how the teams and more importantly the judging compares. Don't mistake this, OU is dominant and will be looking forward with their recruiting, but judging matters in this game and it isn't consistant across the NCAA. If you think it is, you are delusional. I would love to see how our judges would have scored this meet. Probably still a 198 for OU but some of those scores are definitely over inflated.
Let’s admit that this meet was a joke. Jordan Bowers didn’t deserve a 10 on vault and bars. She literally missed two cast handstand and her she clearly had bent knees on vault. Some scores that were 9.9 should have been 9.8 something. They did a great job, solid, a 198.1/198.2 for sure and they are the best team currently in my opinion. It’s not the gymnasts fault btw they are amazing. NCAA is trying to get gymnastics more attention but it’s actually destroying it.
I don't think there is some grand conspiracy. Go watch the sec meet. They were brutal compared to the judges here. I just think judges are wildly inconsistent and that hurts the sport
i thought so as well but then i watched OU perform this season. there are so many routines so close to perfection. I compared the performances and the scores and i really have to say: they deserve scoring higher than the other teams - in my opinion :)
Although I truely know that they deserved it and that they are really that good, it is absolutly boring watching this, because from the first routine the result was fixed, there ist only the question who will be second 🥱
I really thought Jordan Bowers would actually get the 40 lol
13:01 vault 1:14:11 bars 1:29:21 beam 2:05:42 floor
Beam will get ya
it looked like she had the beam landing but then the late scoot
so deserved. ppl complaining on twitter talking about “over scored”…. true or not, they put up the best performance we have ever seen and deserve the highest score. just amazing
It wasn’t over scored to me. I’m not an OU fan but that was a clinic. It was perfection.
If people can't see the difference in OU performances versus the rest of the field they are simply announcing their ignorance of the sport to complain about OU's scoring. It's that simple.
@@ashco28I have to agree with you. If 4 sets of eyes are seeing perfection it’s not a fluke
Idk. I wonder what the scoring would be if the meet was away. We will see next year when they join the less overscored sec 😂

OU doesn't even have competetion in big 12 😅. Easy win as usual
They compete against themselves within the conference. they had the highest score ever posted in NCAA.
easy win, not easy record breaking score :)
Next year they will be in the SEC.
Denver is NOT an easy win? They beat OU at Big 12s in 2021 and are consistently a top 10 team?
But SECs next year will surely be more exciting
I'm not a fan of the Split Screen showing 2 events at the same time. Why? How is a fan supposed to focus on each at the same time?
Scores in college gymnastics are out of control. OU averaging almost a 9.95? not a chance this isn't inflated
