Very nice review for what might be Fassbinder's darkest film. I really hope you will also get to The Bitter Tears of Petra van Kant before the end of your little RWF series.
P.S.: I don't fully understand the need for a content guide anyway, but if there is ONE scene here that you should warn people about, isn't it the actual slaughterhouse footage? That was definitely hard to watch.

I have seen Petra Van Kant but not in a very long time. I will have to give it a re-watch. In regards to the content guide, yeah I should have caught the slaughterhouse scene. I just totally forgot for some reason. Good Catch.

Really interesting review of one of my favourite films. However, one minor point of clarification. I think Elvira identifies as male and sees his trans surgery as an impulsive mistake. So the correct pronoun would be ‘he’.
