  • (Updated)The Amazon Kindle Scribe is trying to replace your notebook as your go-to note-taking device. It's smaller, can hold more, and is more capable than your average notepad.

The best thing about the scribe is that it's an exceptional e-reader.
I take lots of notes on different subjects, but it's even more impressive to have a whole library of books in just one device. I wish they could enable a split screen book/notebook feature. Writing is still a lot better for learning than just highlighting.

Underrated video, you deserve way more views! This video is what finally got me to pull the trigger and order the scribe.

Great review! I got my scribe when it first came out! The enhancements have been great! And I agree the writing experience is the best! If you love to read and write you can’t go wrong with the kindle scribe! Thanks for your review!

Give your wife the scribe and try a Supernote. 😅 Best notebook replacement hands down. has ocr search, tagging etc. I own both the Scribe and Supernote so am speaking from personal experience.

I'll have to do some research of the Supernote. May have another review coming soon.

It will be interesting to get your long (er) term review. I’m re-trying a Scribe. (Tried it 6 months ago). I am a long time kindle ecosystem user.

Great video! I'm also a left-hander. I flipped mine the other way so the wider side is on the right and the pen/magnet is on my left. Looking forward to learning more about scribe's features! Thank you! :)

If all you want to do is organize your note-taking, you’ll love the Scribe- it has a great screen, and yours is the perfect use case. If you want to integrate it with other applications on a computer, IOS, etc., then you’ll probably outgrow the Kindle ecosystem, and end up graduating to a reMarkable, Supernote, or Boox.

I bought it. I hate it. It seems nobody is mentioning an important thing: everytime you turn the page, the screen takes a long time (thinking?) then it flashes and goes completely black, and only then does it show the next page. It is very very sloooooooooooow... Not good for your eyes!! You can't search inside the book or flip through it. It's a disaster. Maybe it is good for the trash bin. I can not recommend it. Do not buy one.

It is an e-ink device, and the refresh is expected. But I would not consider it slow. I have owned 4 e-ink devices since 2011. The Kindle Scribe is by far the fastest.

maybe your books is a pdf? PDF files load slow on any e-reader. Get an epub version of the book and it's lightning quick

@@ch3ckm8 I dislike epub files. All my pdf books (I have more than a million) work very well in other devices I have or had.
