    Today I used the worm alot.had hits on the slim senco unpegged 1/8.missed a big strike on the 10 inch anaconda worm,and the burner worm,and Alabama rig came through. I had the bone spook tied on and threw it . But I missed morning top water bite.it was sunup by the time I got to the launch.i switched to the lipless to cover ground ,but didn't connect w it or chatterbaits .it was my first fir catching on the a rig ,and a burner worm.love building confidence in New baits! Love the channel 👍

      My home lake is sparce of any visible cover around the whole lake. So the walking bait will hookup better for my conditions.the frog is best for hvy cover for me,and open water I use Stanley top toads and reel em.like a buzz bait. My lake has only deep grasses and sand bottom. There are no lillypads at this lake either.and visibility is about 3 to 4 foot w green tint.today I seen a good 3lber roaming shallower ,and schools of rat bass in small wolf packs working the shores for minnows.

    • @Oldbasshole
      @Oldbasshole Před 2 lety +1

      @@mattthomen1608 under those conditions a walking bait or plopper is definitely the way to go . Might throw a rat wakebait over the grass too , early morning or dusk .

    I used to go fishing with my dad but we were never really scientific about how we fished. It was mostly an excuse to pass some time together. But recently I’ve been wanting to learn about how to actually fish, like how to use the seasons, water temperature, and direction of the sun to make informed bets around where Bass are going to be. Can anyone recommend any videos please?

      Anthony, I am, or I have been filmed more informative instructional videos. Bass want structure to ambush forage fish. Early morning and later in the afternoon is the best times to fish, IMO. During the middle of the day they will stay in deeper water to get away from the sun but again rocks, laydowns stumps are key points that you should fish. I would suggest looking up videos on lures that your interested in using. CZcams has a lot of videos to help you. Cheers!!

      Hot the magnifying glass at the top of the page. In the search box, type “seasonal bass behavior”. And, of course, hit Search. After watching several of those for an overview, substitute the season, month, pre-spawn, spawn, and post-spawn for “seasonal.”
