People keep saying its just Banner in Hulk's body but I don't think that's true. Banner was incredibly insecure, nervous, anxious, and Professor Hulk isn't at all. It really is a blend of their personalities: all the smarts and politeness of Banner with all the confidence and assertiveness of Hulk. I guess people assume Banner got a lot more confident because he found himself and worked on his confidence issues too, but to me that's just Hulk's contribution to his personality.
His dad's abuse started the avalanche that led to Banner's Jekyll & Hyde personas. I don't know the " mechanics " of how it happened, but he apparently found a way around it or through it.

@@DanielAppleton-lr9eq Well, I won't pretend to be a know it all, but Bruce did say himself that he found a way to combine the Hulk's strength and and his brains to result what we have seen. Watch it again and you'll notice how the Hulk is acting and referring to himself as Bruce Banner and not the Hulk. In other words, Bruce has perfected the serum so like She-Hulk, it doesn't turn him into a raging juggernaut but increases his strength endurance and stamina beyond that of a normal human.
Hulk, the hero that the military thought would destroy everything, ended up bringing back the lives of trillions across the universe.
But if Ant-Man (Scott Lang) hadn't told them about the quantum phisics then the idea of time traveling would have never came to mind. So in the end Scott saved the MCU.

Alot of people don't like Professor Hulk but i am happy for Bruce, he has been suffering trauma with the hulk for years, while the world treated him like a caged animal, to control him, to use his enslave him as a weapon of mass destruction, so bruce did what he had to do, he allowed himself to change to be the best version of himself. Plus he literally saved half the universe!

there was a deleted scene in ininity stone where Hulk and Bruce having a fight about Bruce always use Hulk as a brawl. only for fighting but then they both sort it out and become one, don't know why they decided to cease the scene but it somewhere on youtube

For those of you wondering that if he is weaker than the Hulk, no that is not true. Smart Hulk is just as strong as the regular hulk, but can become even stronger because he can use his brains to increase his strength when he needs to. So a its a big upgrade. I think its a pretty good decision.

Honestly at least in context of his story, it makes sense. Bruce Banner struggled for years on the fact there was a monster inside him and how much he had to control his anger. It was really hard for him. And now that he's put both the brains in the brawns together, he's finally found balance and peace with himself. The concept alone could've still worked.
The biggest problem however is that I wish Endgame didn't treat him like a goddamn CLOWN!
@@liamphibia The problem was the execution, the writing, and the direction of the Russo Brothers. They finally admitted back in July what us Hulk fans suspected the night we saw this film. They purposely nerfed the Hulk and had no idea how to use him in a movie, so they had it written in a way to where there was essentially no Hulk to use in IW and Endgame. So they avoided using him. And yes, on top of that, made him into a clown in BOTH movies. That whole spiel of Banner unable to Hulk out in IW was so silly and is where that character really hit rock bottom. And now that I know that it was not for the sake of the story but because the Russos just didn't want to be bothered by having to use the Hulk in the action scenes just makes it even more cringeworthy. Having him become Smart Hulk in the final scene of the movie would have been perfect. But they set it up too early and basically take away any chance of not only seeing the classic Hulk in action one more time, but also allowing us to see him with Tony, Thor, and Cap in the final battle in the final AVENGERS movie in what is the biggest battle of the MCU. So many wasted opportunities and all of it was unnecessary.

Not really. When this happened in the comics captain America bodied him. Mainly because of the fact that he was predictable. The hulk would just do whatever, fighting on instinct. But with banners mind, hulk now has to think about what he's going to do, meaning cap can read his movements and respond accordingly.

Those eggs look scrumptious
Hulk has progresssed through sheer exposition in the mcu. His relationship with Black Widow felt forced and out of nowhere, Hulk talking with better sentence structure in Raganork out of nowhere, and Bruce becoming Prof Hulk out of nowhere, and now Hulk having a Kid off screen. Idk seems like Marvel didn't know what to do with him so everything happens off screen and his major "arcs" are minimized and have no substance. Bruce and Hulk relationship of being almost brotherly in way, scathing over the trauma they both share seems like it will never be touch upon in the mcu, Incredible Hulk was about as close and never spoke of again. The vital flaw that plauges both characters.

There was a great regret on Bruce’s part. All this while, he treated the Hulk like a cancer and monster inside of him and only needed him to fight which led to personality clashes Infinity Wars after Hulk got beaten up by Thanos. That’s why he could not become the Hulk in the battle in Wakanda and needed the Hulkbuster to fight. It was when Banner started to accept the power that he was given and see the Hulk as an ally, he finally come to a compromise and final decision to merge the Hulk’s physical strength and size with his mind to become Smart Hulk that he became in full control of his alter ego form. Banner wished he had done this from the start.

I still think this whole conflict between Bruce and the Hulk was solved too quickly. Having Bruce already at peace by Endgame seriously reduces the complexity of the character and gives him less of an arc in Endgame. I think, that what they should have done was keep Bruce in turmoil for just a little longer.
Imagine this:
Hulk refused to come out when Bruce needed him the most in Wakanda during Infinity War. The Hulk is suffering because he lost the fight with Thanos and now he refuses to come out for anything. So Bruce stops trying. Bruce seemingly gets back the life he lost when he first became the Hulk. He becomes a scientist again and leaves the Hero title behind, and for five years Bruce lives the life he thought he always wanted before he became the Hulk. He makes discoveries, cures diseases using gamma rays, wins a Nobel Prize or two. And then Endgame happens and the Avengers need him, and he does his best to help them as a scientist (helping with Time Travel), but then the dangerous part of the mission starts and the Avengers need more than just Bruce; they need the Hulk.
So Bruce joins them back in time, not sure how he can help but determined to try, and in doing so he discovers a few things. He sees the Hulk in 2012, the first time he is a witness to his rage instead of being locked inside the monster. This gives him a chance to study Hulk. Then he talks to the Ancient One and maybe when she removes him from his body the Hulk is given control of his body, or maybe a Bruce soul and a Hulk soul come out. Either way, Bruce is given the chance to talk to Hulk. And then later after they get the stones and when someone needs to SNAP their fingers, Bruce realizes that they need his mind and Hulk’s strength and THAT’S when Bruce and Hulk resolve their conflict and become one, when the world needs the both of them the most. And then, afterwards when Thanos shows up, instead of Captain Marvel fighting Thanos, Hulk gets his rematch and is able to resolve his inner turmoil once and for all by weakening Thanos so that Tony can get the stones and SNAP his fingers.
To me, this feels like a much better way to include Hulk/Bruce in Endgame while also giving them a meaningful arc in the film that builds off of everything that the character(s) has been through before this movie.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the Endgame movie that we got. But, to me at least, I feel like characters like Hulk/Bruce and Thor could have been given more meaningful stories in this film.
