I really enjoyed One Day! It definitely has some slow moments where I get lost in the overly descriptive parts, but I LOVE the dialogue and banter between Emma and Dex. Was so entertaining to read!

Please read All the Light We Cannot See. The characters are so beautiful yet so lonely, and the way they are all connected in their own ways is just beautiful and even heartbreaking at times. The writing is so poetic and it's such a wonderful read. Netflix is coming out with a show next month, and maybe that will inspire you to check out the book.

I’d love to see a part 2 of this video! I definitely recommend Ninth House - I don’t consider myself a “smart” reader, but I was able to get a hang of it pretty quickly and it’s one of my top reads of this year 💕

Loved this video! I also struggled to read One Day, and i didn't agree with everything the characters did but it really picked up towards the middle/ end and i wanted the chapters to go into more detail. The ending broke my heart too.

First time commenting here (I think), love your videos! I wanted to say how much the intro Bible verses mean to me. This video's spoke to me so much, I wasn't expecting that.
And while I am very much a mood reader so I feel conflicted encouraging making oneself read books that one doesn't feel like reading, I would love a part 2. Bc I have so many books hanging around, just there, not read for years. So this video rly made me want to take one finally off the shelf (but it might take another video to actually do it 😜).

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Babel! I avoided it for so long but then got it from the library this past summer. I inhaled it in 2 sittings! It's chunky but so fun.

I finally picked up Babel after avoiding it because I was intimidated and it was the best decision I absolutely loved it. Tomorrow x3 is also on that list I need to pick it up.

I haven't read the book 'one day' but I have watched the movie! the movie is a little frustrating as well, since as you mentioned it is hard to get to know the characters, but I think they show the main characters connection a bit better in the movie! I would definitely recommend watching it, if you are okay with the end being spoiled, as it is a heart wrenching ending
6:38 the fact they I just want to get this book bc the cover in holographic, if I’m anything I’m a suckerrrr for pretty packaging. the amount of time I see something and don’t want or will ever use the product but the packing is so pretty i can’t 😂😂
I could not get into Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Lol. It's so interesting to see how people feel about it when it's opposite of what I felt. But that's why I follow a variety of book people. I love hearing what you guys think.

I would give a go at watching the movie for One Day first before trying the book again. I feel in love with the story and the characters through the movie
When you were describing the plot of tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow I kept thinking about one day and it’s so crazy to me that that was the next book you picked from your tbr! 😩I wish you read it to see if it is similar to tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. But you swooned about it so much that I am now going to read it and see for myself. 😀 Still highly recommend one day. 🤞🏼

'More Than Words' has been on my TBR for years too... along with 'Before We Were Strangers' ... They are on the very top of my TBR in my Notes app. I need to get to them!!! ... Also since you mentioned DNF's, i've only ever DNF'd one book in my short 2 year reading era and that was 'In A Jam', i made it to the 120 page mark and then said nope.🤷♀

Loved this video! I can't not mention Song of Achilles, because it's wonderful. But I'd also encourage you to pick up Open Water! It is more of a literary fiction, but just make a nice coffee and enjoy the lyrical writing at your own pace.

I’ve seen several reviews on Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow and none have convinced me to read it until now!
I can’t believe you DNFd One Day! Of all the books I’ve read it’s one of the only ones I’ve reread more than once and it means something different to me every time I return to it. I’d love to see you go back to it at some point, the characters are so well drawn and you get to watch them grow together over a twenty year period. David Nichol’s writing is so beautifully subtle, if you love Sally Rooney I think it’s definitely worth revisiting. Either way I would encourage you not to bother with the movie, it’s not a good adaption in my opinion. If you want to try a different David Nichols I would recommend Sweet Sorrow!
