  • So here it finally is. The movie you have all been waiting for. The big movie based on the incredible story of Flying Scotsman's USA tour. And just one thing, some of the sets I constructed for this movie may not be accurate to real life US Railroads, so please take my interpretations with a grain of salt.
    ADDITIONAL CREDITS:
Other sound effects by Terrier55Stepney and The Lucky Tug
End credits music: BoJack Horseman - Main Theme Cover by Coela Can't

I'm really surprised Gordon did not go off on Thomas about him saying that Flying Scotsman what the second to go 100 mph and not the first

If I'm being honest I'm pretty sure the reason why that American turntable could fit Scotsman with HIS 2 tenders (I say his because and Thomas and friends The flying Scotsman is depicted as a male while in real life it is called a female) the reason it can fit that long is because back in the day there were probably other long engines like Union Pacific Big boy and other engines like that American steam engines are oftentimes a lot bigger than in British ones

The sprinkling of historical information to make sense as real dialogue is great. Especially the beginning, it got me really excited to see the rest.

I remember when I first saw this movie and cried when Flying Scotsman reunited with Gordon after his tour. A year later and I still cry.

Alright I finally got around to watching the movie. And I'm very impressed! As I'm sure has already been pointed out, I think the film is sort of lacking in the visual and audio departments, but I think it more than makes up for it with the story and little details! I also love how you personified every engine Scotsman met. Personally I would have made "Jacob" a girl and called her Savannah.

It's so good to see the story of the Flying Scotsman turns into the Railway Series look. Gordon and Flying Scotsman will be brothers forever in our hearts.

Dwight brings up a good point about rail equipment preservation in the US. Apart from a handful of heritage programs operated by railroad companies and some narrow-gauge heritage lines, most preserved locomotives in the US are purely left on static display. And there's a reason for that - the main railroad companies here absolutely HATE sharing their lines with anyone else. They barely tolerate Amtrak and the various commuter lines, let alone heritage groups.

I think I noticed that you used one of the pieces that unlucky tug used for music during the 1970 tour, and the information was beautifully delivered. Did you use his video as a basis? I love how you were able to translate the information into dialogue. It’s a beautiful complement to this event, and I think that you are incredible for going through all that hard work just to do this.
